Cindy Crawford vs. Daisy Fuentes

A cougar bout was the next bout on the fight card. It featured two women who were the embodiment of super model in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Cindy Crawford will face Daisy Fuentes.

It has been some time since these two boxed, for Fuentes it was 2007 and Crawford it was 2013. Both talked about this in the pre-bout press and at the conference.

Daisy had been signed as a trainer for GBS and she talked about how she enjoyed working out the fighters signed by the Syndicate and working out herself. She talks about how she is seeing the next and current generation of FCBA fighters and she is happy to see the federation still going. Of course she is glad to be active again herself.

Cindy is boxing as a cougar tonight. She is promoting herself and commercial products by this appearance. But she knows this is serious business between the ropes and she shows footage of her training and boxing at various events.

The night of the bout comes and finally these two supermodels are now in the ring.

In keeping with the Christmas season, both boxers wear appropriate attire.

Cindy is wearing a green two piece with what looks like a Christmas tree light pattern around the outfit. She has on red gloves.

Daisy is wearing a red two piece with Christmas tree pattern on it and red gloves as well.

Round 1 & 2:

These two certainly played favorites as both won rounds widely at the beginning of this bout.

Both boxers came out careful to open the fight. A few jabs and nothing really impactful landing or being thrown. Then Cindy threw some hard right hands between Daisy’s breasts and Fuentes stepped back in major pain. Crawford continued her power punching as she worked Daisy’s body throughout the round. Cindy took the first round widely.

Fuentes keeping well outside on Crawford and moving almost constantly as the next round began. Cindy was going to cut off the ring with her own footwork to combat Daisy and her moves. Daisy chips away at Crawford and gets in a huge right hand at her gut. Then she goes upstairs to Crawford’s face with left uppercuts and crosses. Fuentes takes the second round widely.

Round 3:

Daisy comes back out on the attack and Cindy goes to match her and the fans go crazy for this. Soon the two supermodels are punching back and forth like the clock is going backwards years wise that is. The fans wait to see who will back away first. Surprisingly it is Cindy but soon Daisy is getting crosses to her face as she goes to follow up on her. The crowd’s roar is continuous as this punch up goes to the bell. A very close round that is awarded to Cindy.

Round 4 & 5:

Daisy won the next two round widely followed by a close round. After losing the previous round, Fuentes came out slugging and Crawford responded likewise. Soon the crowd was roaring again as the leather flies and smacks. Crawford lands a huge right into Fuentes’ body but Daisy answer with a 3 punch combination that forced Cindy to cover up. Fuentes go back into Crawford’s gut and body with a couple hard hooks. Soon Cindy is stunned and tries to hook back but is beaten time and again to the punch by Daisy. Fuentes is flushed with excitement as Cindy sags into the ropes. It is all Daisy to the bell and she wins the round widely. She exhorts the crowd to her side with glove pumps as she returned to her corner.

The fifth opened with Cindy still coming forward on Daisy as the two jabbed and boxed. Fuentes did not seem able to get inside on Crawford as the round progressed and the two tried to hook and uppercut their way through the defenses of the other. Fuentes did land a couple of hard crosses to Cindy’s face. But Crawford responded with some cold straights into Fuentes’ ribs and gut which forced Daisy to cover up and back away. The rest of the round was a jab and dodge one for both boxers. The round was close but won by Fuentes.

Round 6:

Cindy came out strong to begin the sixth round as she used her jab to work in some hammer lefts at Fuentes and her defense. A series of blows came to Daisy’s body and head. Fuentes goes to clinch but Crawford is having none of it as she gets her arms loose and throws some short clubbing punches to Fuentes’ gut and midsection. Daisy is groggy and taking punches as Cindy goes to her face with a left hook and right cross combination. AND DOWN GOES FUENTES! Daisy falls to her face on the canvas. Cindy walks to a neutral corner and smiles for the cameras. Fuentes sits on her knees by the count of 6 but can not rise before the 10 count passes. KO 6 – Cindy Crawford.

After:

Cindy strolls around the ring as she poses for the fight fans and cameras. Soon enough she is called to center of the ring for her glove raising and gives her regal smile during this victory announcement. Crawford still has those heavy hands which served her well during her bouts earlier.

Daisy is watching from her corner, she seemed to be winning this fight for a time. Now she had lost, she congratulated Cindy on one of her passes by before leaving the ring.

The two supermodels shared a moment before Fuentes left. Cindy stayed and enjoyed the cheers.
