(Girls Friday vs Free Agent)

Intro:
The classic youth vs experience battle sees Maisie Williams fight Scarlett Johansson, can Maisie take another step towards the elite or will Scarlett show she is still better then the new breed.

Maisie is 22 years old; she stands 5'1, her record is 17 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with 8 defeats.

Scarlett is 35 years old; she stands 5'3, her record is 35 wins, 27 coming by way of knockout, 47 defeats with 3 draws, she is a former two time FCBA flyweight champion, a former FCBA bantamweight champ and a former two time FCBA JMD champ.

The big stories going into this fight are from Maisie's point of view the fact she is seen as the best flyweight in her stable now, people wondering if she can carry that extra expectation on her shoulders this year.

While Scarlett has to fight as a free agent again, she looked like she might have a bright future with the Knockout Babes, now though she is back training in her private gym to get ready for these fights relying on sparring with her Marvel costars when they have time to spare.

So as they entered the arena for tonight, both were stopped by the FCBA Networks Lucy Liu looking for a statement from them before they got ready.

First in was Maisie with surprisingly to some Sophie Turner of the Foxfire stable, both giggling about some joke as they walk with their bags over their shoulders, Sophie in a red blouse with black jeans and heels, Maisie wearing a black T-shirt with black jeans and white trainers.

They stop when they see Lucy, who asks both how they are doing, Maisie replies "well as you see we have each others backs and are ready to party" both best friends putting an arm around each other, though Maisie can only reach around the waist of the tall redhead due to their height difference.

Sophie is asked how she feels going into battle with Anllela Sagra tonight, she answers "it'll be a good test for me but I am confident I can take her down, I have the speed and the skills to make her night a long one put it like that"

"She is being modest! Sophie will kick that muscle bound bytch all over here tonight, Anllela will be rocking more then me and Sophie were on New years day" Maisie butts in to make even Lucy smile at her confidence.

"Well you better beat up Scarlett then Maisie, I know she is a good boxer but you are the future babe, take her down Black Widow style and I hope you come watch me win my match" says Sophie as Maisie looks up grinning.

As they both walk away, Maisie is joking that her fight will surely be higher up the card then Sophie's, who playfully shoves her and disagrees on that, making Lucy smile till she remembers she didn't get to ask them hardly anything.

Scarlett follows a bit later on, her coach team is behind her as she walks in with her bag on her shoulder, wearing a white blouse, blue jeans and white heels, she gives Lucy a hug before they begin to discuss the fight after a quick check on how the other is.

When asked how it feels to be a free agent, Scarlett admits "it sucks, but I can't fault the Knockout Babes management, they were honest with me and laid out why it wasn't a perfect fit for us both, I want to be clear I have no ill feelings to them, not unless they want me to fight my ex teammates" grinning at that part.

Asked if the rumours are true that she sparred with the likes of Brie Larson and other Marvel costars, Scarlett replies "come on Lucy, you know first rule of sparring is to not tell stories from it, I always speak with my friends from the set and they know I am always free to come to their gyms to spar or even if they want some friendly competition in the FCBA ring"

The final question is about her opponent tonight, the Black Widow star smiles as she tells Lucy "she looks a decent boxer, nothing better then anything I've seen before, she should be a good workout I guess as I work my way up to the hundred club here, nothing to worry about for me" Lucy thanking Scarlett for her time as both smile warmly, before Scarlett goes off to her locker room.

Fighting time; Maisie comes out first with her coach Taryn Terrell and cut woman Eva Carneiro, stepping down the aisle with a big smile, the youngster doesn't look to have any hint of worry about facing a former multiple champion.

She is wearing a red sports bra with navy blue trim, matching trunks and shoes, navy blue gloves, her brunette hair is pulled back into a braid.

Stepping inside the ropes, Maisie blows kisses to the fans as she heads over to her corner, her demeanor changes as she gets serious to begin shadow boxing.

Scarlett now steps out the curtain with her corner team behind her, she bangs her gloves together as she bounces on her toes, beginning to march down the aisle with a focused look on her face.

She is wearing a black sports bra, black trunks with "Black Widow" in red letters on her waistband, black shoes, black gloves with red thumbs, her blonde hair is short.

Getting inside the ring, Scarlett steps to the center of the ring to pose with her arms in the air, enjoying the loud cheers from her fans, turning back to her corner after a brief look at her opponent, she stretches to warm up for the test ahead.

The referee brings the fighters together at the center of the ring, they look each other up and down for the first time since the weigh in, not looking too impressed by what is in front of them.

They are told to touch gloves, respectfully they do as they are told, a nod from both shows there is no real anger yet between them, that could quickly change as the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell they both come out their corners throwing probing punches, Maisie's hands a little lower then Scarlett's, with the youngster looking more mobile up on her toes.

While Scarlett looks to be landing the cleaner shots in the opening thirty seconds of the round, it is Maisie who ups the tempo first when she slips a straight to bang in a right to the mouth, followed by a left to the ribs.

Scarlett scowls as Maisie keeps picking her pocket somewhat, the Game of Thrones star dodging punches to move inside to work, before when the heat starts to come moving back to the outside.

A double jab past the half way stage seems to give Johansson more control over what is happening, striking Maisie to the top of her head as slowly she pushes the youngster towards the outside of the ring.

But when Scarlett thinks she has Maisie reined in, Maisie dodges a left hook, landing a right to the ribs before moving back into space with a grin.

The remainder of the round sees Scarlett struggling to keep Maisie under wraps, with Maisie ducking to dodge before rifling her own shots in, mostly picking away at the abs of Scarlett to make her grunt out.

At the bell Maisie jogs back to her corner with her right fist in the air, confident she is the one who got that round under her belt, something Taryn and Eva agree with as both praise her.

Round 2:
If Maisie though Scarlett was going to give her freedom all night to do what she wants, she gets proven wrong early by Scarlett, who comes out the traps like a greyhound after a rabbit.

The veteran throwing combinations when she gets in closer, forcing Maisie into heated exchanges, heads get turned but it's mainly Maisie's brunette locks getting spun in the air by the hard hits from her opponent.

Maisie steps back to the outside part of the ring, ducking to open up different angle to strike from, landing some hard looking overhand punches to make Scarlett think about her attacks.

Again though the veteran goes into her box of tricks; feinting with a jab, which Maisie takes the bait as she swings in an overhand right that misses, Scarlett stepped back out the way before landing a clubbing right to the side of her head.

The final minute of the round sees Maisie mainly stuck behind her gloves, Scarlett banging away looking to break apart the smaller woman, when she finds no success up top, she puts her head down before swinging hooks into the flanks of Williams to make her groan out.

This time as the bell rings it is Scarlett lifting her right fist into the air in front of Maisie, who nods with a rueful grin, when both return to their corners they are told to step up and show their opponent why they are the better fighter.

Round 3:
Scarlett looks to repeat her tactics from the last round, Maisie aware of what to expect boxes off the back foot more to start, each landing some stiff straights and jabs into the others grill.

It's Scarlett though who looks a little shocked when Maisie rifles a right into her left boob, a left hook follows to her ribs as she groans out then takes a step back.

The grin returns on Maisie's face, maybe Taryn has been teaching her some JMD tactics as she is swinging in some punches to the undersides of Scarlett's boobs to make her hiss out.

The only problem is that Scarlett is used to those tactics, she smacks Maisie to the side of her head with a right cross when she steps inside, sweat goes flying off the head of the brunette when a straight left smacks into it.

With the final minute seeing Scarlett starting to get things back under her control, she looks the harder hitter with her naturally bigger frame, knocking back Williams when she is able to spike her in the face.

For her part though Maisie isn't making that easy, ducking punches still as she keeps low, going back to the abs of her opponent as the seconds tick away.

The round comes to a close with both looking excited as they return to their corners, their coaching teams aren't that excited though, telling them both where they need to improve upon if they are to win this bout.

Round 4:
Thudding her gloves together before she comes back out, Scarlett looks to try to bully back Maisie, who is continuing to stay elusive.

While not a big hitter; Maisie is definitely bugging Scarlett with her movement, especially as Maisie is going back to those overhand shots she had success with before, making Scarlett back off to rethink her strategy.

But Maisie it seems is after being the aggressor when she sees some doubt in Scarlett's eyes, stepping inside with several body shots that make Scarlett cry out to the heavens.

This looks to be a mistake though when Scarlett uses her left forearm to push back Maisie, opening space up so she can rifle a right straight into the nose of the Brit, who cries out as blood starts running from her nostrils.

Things go worse for Maisie when she tries to step inside again, getting a left hook to her jaw looks to rattle her, Scarlett seeing this pounces with a left/right/left straight through her gloves to snap back the head of Maisie.

Johansson's corner is yelling at her to punish Maisie, she duly does with a left hook to the ear of Maisie, followed by a right uppercut that sends Williams into a corner, where she pulls Scarlett into a clinch, their glistening bodies grind together as Scarlett pins the smaller woman against the turnbuckles.

They are broken up and the final few seconds of the round sees Maisie on the retreat, blocking as much as she can of a flurry of punches from Scarlett, till the round comes to a close.

Eva is quick to work on patching up Maisie's nose, which is flowing blood drop her lips to her chin, Taryn is giving her a rally speech to try to turn this around.

Across the ring Scarlett stays standing in her corner, she is sensing something big is coming as her corner team give her a drink and wash her down, her coach telling her not to waste an opportunities that present themselves.

Round 5:
Coming out her corner; Maisie doesn't look like she wants to really go on the defensive, looking for some angle to strike from as Scarlett stalks her around the ring.

The youngster decides to throw an overhand left that Scarlett steps out the way of, A COUNTER RIGHT HOOK SMACKS HER IN THE TEMPLE, FOLLOWED BY A LEFT TO THE CHIN THAT SENDS MAISIE'S GUMSHIELD OUT AS SHE CRUMBLES TO THE CANVAS FACE DOWN, BUTT IN THE AIR!

The crowd stand and roar as they sense it is all over, the referee begins their count, 1...2...3...4.. Maisie is slumbering it seems though 5...6...7...8... Scarlett raising her fists into the air 9...10 as it is clearly all over!

Winner Scarlett Johansson KO Round 5

After:
Whether at flyweight or bantamweight, Scarlett scores picture perfect knockouts and tonight adds another to that list, more importantly for her it is a big step in the right direction.

The winner mounts the bottom rope in the neutral corner she is standing in, some sweat dripping off her brow but she looks ecstatic as she pumps her arms into the air, all the while the crowd give her a rousing round of applause.

Maisie on the other hand is slowly helped up to a kneeling position by Taryn, while Eva gives her smelling salts to bring her back around to the land of reality.

She splutters awake wonder what happened, it takes a few moments before her brain pieces it together and she falls to all fours, tears running down her face to the canvas as this was supposed to be another step forwards in her career.

Taryn nods to Eva to help her get Maisie back to her corner, all the while Scarlett barely pays any attention to what is happening with the Girls Friday crew.

She is more interested in celebrating with the fans, doing a lap inside the ring with her arms in the air, her fans cheering and whistling for her now, till she finally stops in her corner to hug her coaching team.

In the Girls Friday corner, they are consoling Maisie as she stares with tear filled eyes at her gloves, some wondering if it was simply a bad night for her, Scarlett simply being better or the pressure of supposedly being the number one flyweight in her stable got to her.

All Taryn cares about is getting Maisie in the right frame of mind to get off her stool and look to the future, Maisie nods after being told "tonight was a blip, you will hit obstacles like this but it is about how you overcome them, so stand up and show the world you don't cave under a defeat"

Both women come to the center of the ring, Scarlett nods over to Maisie to show her some respect for not wallowing in her defeat, with Scarlett getting her hand raised to applause from Maisie.

Maisie leaves the ring with Taryn and Eva each side of her, each with an arm around her shoulders as they tell her they have her back on this journey, she thanks them for that.

Scarlett meanwhile poses with her hands on her hips as she smiles at the cameras, her coaches all smiling as they discuss this first outing with her, she certainly can't complain with how tonight went.

Next up for Scarlett though is Olivia Munn in around two weeks times, already as they leave the ring Scarlett is discussing raring to get at Olivia after her loss in the MMA world to her, can she do better in the boxing ring?
