(Girls Friday vs Holloway Boxing)

Intro:
Time now for Alessandra Ambrosio and Zendaya Coleman to lace up the gloves to fight, can the veteran Alessandra stop the youngster Zendaya's rise into the elite echelon of the lightweight division?

Alessandra is 38 years old; she stands 5'9 ½, holding a record of 42 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with 11 defeats, she is the current BBU lightweight champion, she is a former FCBA lightweight champion.

Zendaya is 23 years old; she stands 5'10, holding a record of 5 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with 5 defeats.

This is arguably the biggest fight so far in the young career of Zendaya, though she hasn't exactly had it easy with opponents like Georgia May Gibbs and Nina Adgal to name just two tough women she fought.

But Alessandra is making history in the BBU and has been a main stray in the top twenty of the FCBA lightweight division, though at 38 the questions of how long she can continue to beat the young up and comers will grow with each year that passes.

In the build up to the fight the fighters were asked for their opinions on the FCBA Network set, Lucy Liu asking the questions as Alessandra is the first in the hot seat.

She is wearing a black dress as she sits down, Lucy asking Alessandra what her opinion of Zendaya is, Alessandra replies "she is a great actress, I love seeing her in the Spiderman movies as Mary Jane, as a fighter not so much so far"

Sweeping an errand hair behind her right ear, the model continues "OK I am being harsh, I think she has potential to be a great fighter if she learns a few things"

Lucy asks what those are, Alessandra laughs and replies "maybe after I retire I'll tell her a few secrets, till then she has to enter my school of hard knocks l guess" winking as she stands up to leave.

Zendaya then steps onto the set wearing a pink dress and heels, she shakes hands with Lucy as she shows the legend respect by saying she used to love watching her fighting when she was growing up.

The subject turns to the fight ahead for the youngster, who nods before she says "Alessandra has certainly making a name for herself here and in the BBU, I am honoured to be able to step into the ring with her"

Zendaya is then asked how confident she is in herself going into this fight, she answers "my record isn't anything special right now I'll admit, we share one common opponent though and that is Wallis Day, watching both our fights with her I feel like I did a better job because I have quickness that Alessandra has never really had"

Putting her hands up, Zendaya adds "I am not trying to be disrespectful, she has the power that I am trying to add to my skills, I will need to stay out of the way of her right hand if I am to overcome here"

Lucy thanks Zendaya for her time and Alessandra is waved back onto the stage for a final face off for the cameras, both women smile as they take their heels off and pose with their fists up, knowing the next time they are standing like this the smiles will be gone and it will be all business.

For now it is a quick hug to show they have no hard feelings for the other, stepping back into their heels before leaving the stage side by side.

Fight night; Alessandra heads out with Taryn Terrell and cut woman Eva Carneiro behind her, she gives the fans a few shakes of her hips before heading down the aisle with a beaming smile on her face.

The Brazilian is wearing a black sports bra with gold trim and a gold "AA" badge on her left bra cup, she has black trunks on with three gold stripes each side, black shoes and gloves, her hair is tied back into a ponytail.

Climbing through the ropes into her corner, Alessandra mounts the bottom ropes to blow kisses to her fans, jumping back down to begin her warm up as Taryn makes sure to get her ready for her opponent.

Now out comes the Holloway corner team, Zendaya follows them with a big smile on her face, she is bouncing on her toes as they head towards the ring, looking relaxed for the contest ahead.

The American is wearing a sort of spiderman tribute gear, a red sports bra with blue sides and black webbing style pattern across it, blue trunks with red stripes down the sides, red boots and gloves, her hair is tied back into a braid.

Stepping into the ring with a big smile etched onto her face, she thuds her gloves together as she bounces on her toes in her corner, looking excited to get started.

When the fighters come to the center of the ring, Alessandra can be heard saying "nice threads, I love the look" Zendaya replies "I heard you like me in spiderman, guess it suits me better then Tom" both laugh at that.

They get serious though at the touch of fist, touching their gloves with their opponent hard to show that the time for fun is done, now it is about finding out whose the better woman.

Turning back to their corners as the crowd is yelling for both women, getting their gumshields in and final instructions from their corner teams, the bell is rung to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
They come out their corners with their eyes locked, trading single punches as Zendaya is up on her toes moving side to side already, Alessandra stalking her down with her right tight by her face, looking more focused on getting in close then letting wasteful bombs go.

The speed advantage of Zendaya gives her the better start, her punches landing more then her opponent's as she is looking to snipe the head of Ambrosio.

Who after the first minute shows off her great timing, banging a jab straight into the face of Zendaya, she comes at her with a follow up right/left cross combo to turn the head of the actress.

Leading to Alessandra stepping in and taking the center of the ring with two straight punches to Coleman's face, pushing her near the ropes as the Girls Friday corner is grinning.

This is where they want to see Zendaya, who is getting clipped to her chin by some warning hooks, Alessandra mostly focusing on ramming a left or right straight into the mouth to keep Zendaya at bay.

The final minute of the round sees Zendaya try to step into Alessandra, which proves a mistake as much as she lands a crisp right to the cheek of Ambrosio, she takes an uppercut that makes her take a step back as a left hook just clips her cheek.

Alessandra grinning as she sees something in Zendaya's expression that she likes, the Holloway fighter relying more on her own jab as they both drill the other in the mush with lefts up till the bell rings to end the round.

Returning back to their corners; Alessandra is the one with some swagger to her step, Zendaya getting told off her coach to be more assertive, they know she can box rings around Alessandra if she believes in herself.

Round 2:
While Alessandra is looking to keep Zendaya from being mobile, she misses a few jabs and is rewarded with a straight onto her mouth to back her off.

With out being pressured as much, Zendaya looks more confident as she is forcing her opponent to keep her gloves up, several drilling punches finding their way to the cheeks of the model to mark her up.

Though Alessandra does land a left cross when she dips under a straight at the end of the first minute, crashing in two hard hooks to the body as she gets into the grill of Coleman.

They trade in close with the crowd cheering their favourite on, Alessandra looking to break down her young opponent, leaves herself open to a right near her neck as Zendaya takes a step backwards.

A double jab soon follows as back on her bike goes Zendaya, who is showing the feint trace of a smile, she is landing more combos to keep Alessandra at range.

Late on in the round; Alessandra uses a shoulder roll to dodge a right, coming up with a straight to the abs of Coleman, then an overhand left to the side of her head.

The round soon coming to a close just as Alessandra begins to push back Zendaya, both turn on their heels back to their corners looking relaxed, simply taking drinks and listening to their coaches advice with a smile.

Round 3:
Alessandra for the third round in a row is caught out by the speed of Zendaya to start a round, the rangy fast hands of the actress are marking up her face, Alessandra needing to move her head more to dodge.

She does catch Zendaya with a left to the ribs, an overhand right clips the jaw of Coleman as she takes a step back, Alessandra quickly switches down to the body as she has her opponent on the back foot.

But a double jab/straight combo sends her retreating back, allowing Zendaya to move away from the ropes and get her rhythm going again, crashing in more straight punches between the mitts of the BBU champ.

While Alessandra is able to land some meaty punches to Zendaya, she is taking more punches then she is landing, Zendaya looks like a Ferrari when giving the space to quickly zip around the ring.

In the dying moments of the round, Alessandra misses with a right cross, taking a right to her ear, followed by a left hook to her jaw to back her up, Zendaya pouncing with another three clean punches to the face of the model, who is stopped from firing back by the bell ringing.

In her corner Zendaya is nodding to her coach with a smile, they know that she is taking control of the action with her speed and reach, the message is simple, just keep doing this till Alessandra folds.

Round 4:
Dancing around Alessandra again, Zendaya is able to keep at bay the veteran fighter, making Alessandra thud her gloves together in a clear sign of frustration as she can't seem to catch Zendaya.

Who lands a crisp double jab/right cross to back up Alessandra, whose cheeks are starting to look a little puffy already, the Zendaya fans are roaring as they feel that she has this in the bag.

A missed right cross though leaves her open to a right under her ribs, Alessandra then adds two more hooks to the body as she has her head right under the chin of the taller woman.

Zendaya needing to nudge back Alessandra, who won't let Zendaya move away so easily, both landing some hard punches that are sending sweat flying into the air off the fighters head.

Dipping a left hook allows Alessandra an opening for an overhand left, it smacks the side of Zendaya's head, with Alessandra building off it with another uppercut to force back Coleman to her heels.

As Zendaya is pressed into a corner, Alessandra not finding much success going up top, swings at the toned body of the youngster, making her hiss with each clean hit.

The round ends soon enough with Alessandra banging her right glove off her chest, knowing she got that round under her control, though her corner team are telling her she needs to cut off the ring more quickly before she gets jabbed into a mess.

Round 5:
Certainly the most action packed round so far, Alessandra is after Zendaya quickly, leading to Zendaya trying to stand her ground as they both trade stiff shots, the Holloway corner not that impressed with their fighter going this route.

Especially as Alessandra knocks her back with a left hook/uppercut combo, in her shell goes Zendaya as she is knocked back towards the ropes, where she pulls Alessandra into a clinch to force the referee to step in to break them up.

Once they are apart; Zendaya catches a keen Alessandra with two punches straight into her forehead, before sidestepping a straight from the Brazilian, a right hook crashes against the cheek of Alessandra.

Past the half way stage of the round and now it is Alessandra on the back foot, Zendaya has the center of the ring, switching targets to find more gaps in the guard of the veteran, making her corner crew smile as they walk her pick apart Ambrosio.

Alessandra does come back with a left cross up top, she is met with an uppercut though as she loads up a right hook, it's momentum is stifled as Zendaya adds another two crisp shots to the cheeks, making Alessandra back up again.

At the end of the round, Zendaya raises both arms into the air as she struts back to her corner, her team telling her not to get drawn into a firefight with a harder puncher.

Meanwhile Alessandra gets her cheeks worked on as they look puffy, she still doesn't look overly worried, even as Taryn is telling her to step up another gear to win this.

Round 6:
Zendaya doesn't look like she is interested in another firefight like the last round, instead leaning out the way of Alessandra's punches, then firing back with her own straight shots into the face of her opponent.

Who needs to start feinting to get any openings to appear, Zendaya bites and tries to swing in a right cross, Alessandra uses a shoulder roll to dodge and set up an uppercut that snaps back the head of the actress.

As three more punches bash the head back of Zendaya, she doesn't look as assure as her cheeks are reddened up, she backs off trying to match intensity with Alessandra's punches.

But an overhand right to her jaw knocks her into the ropes, where Alessandra quickly steps in to pin her, Zendaya covering up as best she can while Alessandra unleashes a heavy handed barrage.

Eating too many punches for her liking, Zendaya clinches up tight with Alessandra, they are split up by the referee as the Ambrosio fans come to life now.

Zendaya boxing more on the back foot in a defensive style, jabbing and throwing straights to try to keep back the knockout hungry looking veteran, sending back the head of Ambrosio when she does land clean.

An overhand right smacks Zendaya on the jaw again, there's a definite wobble this time! Alessandra lands a left hook to her jaw to send her stumbling into the ropes, the bell sounds before she can hammer in more blows.

It might have saved Zendaya as she shakes her head while returning to her corner, her corner team working on getting her ready for the next round as they talk to her about not leaving herself so open.

Across the ring Alessandra stares coldly at Zendaya, Taryn not saying much to her as she knows Alessandra doesn't need much advice in these situations.

Round 7:
Those last few heavy handed punches at the end of the last round seem to have taken some spring from Zendaya's legs, she looks to be trying to land some counter punches to Alessandra.

But she takes the bait again when Alessandra feints with her right, a left hook crashes into the ear of Zendaya, THE FOLLOW UP UPPERCUT IS PLUM FLUSH ON THE ACTRESS'S CHIN, TIMBER! DOWN GOES ZENDAYA FLAT ON HER BACK!

Raising her right fist into the air as she jogs over to a neutral corner, Alessandra is smiling as she looks down at Zendaya, seeming to believe this is it.

1...2...3... Zendaya can be heard groaning as her left glove comes up to her face, 4...5...6... Her right knee is bend as she is still on her back, 7...8.. Her fans are urging her to get up, 9...10 alas she stays on her back for the count.

Winner Alessandra Ambrosio KO Round 7

After:
Another knockout in the books for Alessandra, turning away a very game Zendaya tonight, the winner not celebrating much as she steps around Zendaya to get back to her corner, where she is met with fist bumps.

Needing help to sit up straight, Zendaya rubs her jaw as she comes fully around, punching the canvas with her right hand is annoyance at not being able to win this one.

Instead she is being helped over to her corner, sitting on her stool asking her coach where she went wrong, they are frank with her as they tell her not to leave her chin out in the open so easily.

Across the ring Alessandra is getting praised for another job well done, she doesn't look too happy with her own performance, admitting "I let her get away from me too easily at times, I need to close down the ring better against these younger fighters" Taryn happy to point out she isn't doing too badly against them.

Both women are soon ready to step to the ring center, where they nod to each other but leave it at that for signs of respect, Alessandra gets her hand raised with Zendaya looking at the canvas, thinking how it should have been her getting her hand raised.

"I'll want a rematch, I hope you know that" says Zendaya to Alessandra, who simply smiles in reply, Zendaya leaving the ring afterwords as her coach chats with her.

Alessandra on the other hand poses in each corner with her arms in the air, taking in the crowds love as she grins at them, this is one of the highlights of winning it seems for Alessandra as she always loves celebrating with the fans.

Stepping through the ropes and heading to ringside so she can take selfies with fans, while she isn't her best looking, the crowd are all dying for a photo with her as they try to elbow their way to the front row.

Heading up the aisle soon enough with a possible BBU title defence coming up, Alessandra will have plenty on her mind this coming February.
