Cheryl Cole vs Anna Kendrick
(Lioness Club vs FCBA Independent)
(30-10, 30 KO vs 17-20, 17 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Cheryl Cole blasted out fellow Brit Jenna Coleman in JMD rules back in Cardiff on Wednesday and here she is fighting for FCBA PPV glory a little over 48 hours later! Talk about trying to put a dismal 2019 season behind her in ultra-quick fashion!

"I feel great! After beating Coleman there's nobody who can stop me! Forget the jet lag! Anna would be hard pressed to beat me in her prime and she's several years removed from that! I'm gonna lay her the heck OUT!!! Bring it on, bytch!!"

Anna Kendrick has indeed seen better days in her boxing career but one should never count the auburn-haired southpaw out prematurely! She keeps the pre-fight action to minimum, well, chasing a first victory since September 2017 tends to neutralize all the trash-talking potential but maybe, just maybe, Cheryl's BBU schedule might actually help Anna to snap that awful losing streak tonight?

Cheryl Cole wears a black & white vertically striped bikini top, black hip-huggers and blue gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Anna Kendrick wears a red crop top, matching hotpants & white gloves. Long dark auburn hair tied wrapped in a thick bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Forget the jet lag indeed as Cheryl runs wild with her jabbing approach and stuffs Anna on her heels seconds into the bout; just nowhere to hide in the Geordie phone booth and Anna pays an early price for her failure to cover off the traditional Cole blast. The Brit rips the redhead's guard apart and digs into her face like it's target practice which leads into some noteworthy groans from the overmatched woman. Anna tries to respond over the top but is awfully slow here and before she knows it, she's hugging the ropes over in the opposite corner. Cheryl blasts her into a standstill and has a field day landing those hooks up the middle... who has travelled across the Atlantic in the last 48 hours anyway? Nothing from Kendrick, just a shell of the former champion while Cole nails her on the double and is upset the bell halts her one-sided charge!

Round 2:
Anna wakes up just to rally from the southpaw stance but not getting hit is only a partial success. She blocks the initial Geordie blast but remains chasing thin air as the singer waltzes around her counter-punching efforts during a cagey opening minute. More promise on display in the middle part, Anna stacks up a body assault that sends Cole into a mid-range scamper but the true nature of her inner aggression still allows the Brit to try her chances in a swarming attempt. A nasty left hook finds the liver area though and bails Chezza out whereas Kendrick sticks to her attacks downstairs and scores a single-punching revival come the last minute. A messy struggle ends in a lenghty stalemate with Anna actually trying to hip toss the singer to the ground which earns her a jeering ovation from the crowd.

Round 3:
Anna remains glued to Cheryl's midsection early in the third and stuffs her in the phone booth this time as the older brunette lacks a proper power supply to shake her off. Maybe jet lag is real after all? Anna works the left hand and tries to smack her rival in the liver outright but Cheryl delays the action by shoving her onto the turnbuckle herself and almost head-butts her in the process. Ref calls for a separation and Anna rips a left hook on the eye that makes Cole gurgle in anger but she loses her precision thereafter and gets carefully outboxed by the smarter woman... Yep, even Cheryl's red mist mode doesn't work all the time and she gets rattled by a vicious double on each temple moments before the bell.

Round 4:
Chezza is furious and leaps into a rapid fire assault that makes Anna think better off it before she actually gets hit with this brute force... experience comes to the fore and allows the redhead to bide her time while Cheryl blows her jabbing load... the Geordie singer must leak some stamina after the BBU clash on Wednesday and if only Anna plays it smart she will earn the upperhand in the second part of tonight's contest... all good except she gets blasted on the nose right after the two-minute mark and wobbles into an uppercut double that rocks her badly and spins her onto the ropes. Cheryl needs no second invitation to pounce on the subdued prey and she bashes her up the middle to sink the redhead into loud spasms; a wild hook literally bursts the nostrils into a blood-leaking disaster but Anna hangs on in a desperate clinch even though Cheryl's cleavage is covered with red liquor at the bell. Ugh! This looks bad for the southpaw vixen!

Round 5:
Anna gets her nose patched up during the interval but Cheryl's hooking blast dissects the high guard literally seconds into the fifth and there's no way back from this... Kendrick's face is getting bashed into a bloody mess! Ugh! There's a reason for this terrible losing steak of hers as she leaks competitive spirit in gallons to the point Cheryl shoves her mitts into her busted up face and screams like Caroline Munro starring in one of these Hammer Films... it's getting down to breaking a girl mentally rather than physically and the referee just refuses to bail the redhead out!!! He allows Chezza to run wild in bashing Anna's face until the Maine native BREAKS DOWN and BEGS FOR THE HEAD-HUNTING TORTURE TO STOP!!!! "Arghh.... I'm done... doooooonee... staph... argh...." What a sight this is as the ref finally shows mercy and pulls the British tourist from a competely wrecked opponent!!! TKO5 Cheryl Cole in verbal retirement!!!

AFTER: Anna is well and truly wrecked and collapses in a sobbing heap down in the corner... and Chezza is actually refusing to rub all the exra insult in! She stares down the sobbing mess once known as Anna Kendrick and struts back to her corner where even Lioness coach Eva Mendes is lost for words: "Well done, pet! So where was THIS last season, huh?" "Who cares about last season? Jenna Coleman gives you wings!" (laughs), "Man, I got the submission bonus ALL covered up now! What a day, what a damn week!!! (...) When is my next fight then? I feel like I can rule the boxing world again!!!" (laughs).

Official Result: Cheryl Cole def. Anna Kendrick TKO5 (Submission).
