BEFORE: Victory over Rachel Barnes merely stopped Odette Yustman's three-fight losing streak but if she wants to emerge as a contender again, she needs to take care of more formidable opponents. Hayley Atwell didn't exactly enjoy the best of campaigns last season either however there's no shame in losing to the likes of Taylor Swift and Hannah Ferguson. Then again, Hayley turns 38 in April and she'd like to offer a little more than jug muggin' talents outside of the mainsteam so beating a fellow veteran with subpar recent results is well within her range tonight.

Odette Yustman wears a red crop top with black trim, matching hotpants & red gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Hayley Atwell wears a navy blue crop top with white trim, matching hip-huggers & white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Hayley hammers it!!! Talk about getting off to a HOT start as the British veteran just rallies into a jabbing stream that catches Odette off guard and drops her into coverage; she can only bounce around on her toes as Hayley dishes out the juice like her entire career depended on it. She nails the American on the boobs but quickly lands one uppercut after another and tags Yustman's chin so often it makes the audience hold their breath. Even Odette's otherwise elite defense is shattered as Atwell pushes for the early breakthrough and traps the reeling brunette butt-in-ropes where she keeps firing into her face hand over the proverbial fist. Odette languishes behind a tight earmuff but gets pounded without a solid reply regardless and has Atwell digging her mitts deep into the exposed ribcage to end the round.

Round 2:
Odette hasn't recovered from that tough opener and gets clobbered up the middle again as Hayley just piles on more leather to run away with the score. That's as mindless bash as you'll ever see from a wiley vet like Atwell but she truly doesn't care about endurance as she tries to slump Yustman into a spot of bother ASAP. Forget the bendy defense, Odette just wants to bide her time in clinching stalemate as even the counter-punching plan makes little progress; Hayley blocks most of the American's efforts with her forearms before a stray elbow in the solar plexus makes the younger brunette gurgle in discomfort. Atwell wrestles her rival onto the ropes where she squashes her in jug-to-jug contact; she rips a harpoon series into her midriff and quite frankly Odette is getting beat up badly here as she struggles to embrace the Brit's power supply.

Round 3:
One can't expect Hayley to maintain this high-tempo bash for too long, right? Well, wrong... Odette fails in her initial jabbing efforts as Hayley smacks her in the lips repeatedly and outmuscles in a close range tangle. Yustman bails out into mid-distance but appears to be spooked here as Atwell tries to nail her down from afar... she finally returns empty numbers and eats a quick hooking double once Odette finally cashes in with some meaningful strikes... she glues her mitts into the Brit's face but eats another low harpoon on the liver area and has to yield real estate down the stretch. Hayley's footwork is one thing that is clearly inferior to Odette's so her pounce during the final segment proves fruitless and leaves her visibly annoyed at the bell.

Round 4:
Nine minutes of Atwell dominance and it's over... Odette crashes a wild double combo on her mouth and follows up with a stinger on the liver area that Hayley never saw coming. Ugh! The British veteran bends forward with a whimper and gets clocked on the jaw with a nasty uppercut which triggers a flurry of punches in the phone booth. Suddenly it's Atwell who seeks the clinching respite but Odette whacks her up the middle and backs onto the ropes where she tackles the boobs in a brief jug muggin' moment of glory... however she quickly sends the juice upstairs and halts Atwell's overhand response when one of these hooks tears a bloody patch under the left eye.. Odette piles on more jabs on the boobs to completely stuff the British woman in the corner and signs off a dominant round with another belter on the liver area. Ugh! Hayley slumps into loud spasms and has trouble catching her breath during the interval.

Round 5:
Odette's aggressive approach leaves Hayley in the dust... a heads-up slugging exchange wears the older brunette down much faster than the PLP camp anticipated - moreover Yustman blasts her on the solar plexus with a nasty double and beats her for one overhand punch too many... Hayley just doesn't have the patience & endurance required to survive this exhausting ordeal and gets thumped back onto the turnbuckle where Yustman keeps picking her off. Uh-oh!!! Hayley's legs begin to shiver and she eats a thundering hook on the temple that spins her sideways... Odette steps up one more time and drives a brutal hook straight into the Brit's chest WHICH SENDS ATWELL CRASHING DOWN on the spot. Ugh! The older brunette leaks oxygen as we speak and remains on all fours way too long for the PLP's comfort... she's still down at eight and only then tries to get up but the gumshield slips out of her mouth and she just can't catch her breath anymore... NINE... TEN... it's all over!!! KO5 Odette Yustman in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: Hayley got counted out on all fours and that last shot on the breasts really damaged her oxygen supply. Odette takes a small pause before strutting back to coach Claudia Schiffer but the atmosphere in the Lioness corner remains muted thereafter. Odette lost three rounds on the bounce to open this bout and someone ... cough... cough... younger than Atwell could have well pulled into the clear and prevented such a comeback victory. The Lionesses will take the big 'W' however Yustman's contender status remains very much in limbo going forward.
