BEFORE:

"Yes," says Sarah with a smile. "I was surprised to get a call about being on this card. Because, you know, the LAST time Front Street brought me here, it didn't go well for them. And, that's not going to change tonight."

"What Sarah's about to find out," says a hard-eyed Ariel, "Is that fighting Leighton Meester is one thing. And, fighting Ariel Winter is a completely DIFFERENT thing."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and that's 'Ride' by Ciara, and here comes the former Unified Flyweight Champion, Odds and Ends' Sarah Shahi!"

McCarthy: "Shahi is a REAL fighter. Yeah. She's 40. But, I'm 47 and in the Top Twenty!"

Cassie: "I knew she was going to find ways to work that in..."

O'Dell: "Sarah down the aisle into the ring. She's helped off with the robe to reveal a black number, and and body that looks ANYTHING but 40 years old. And, that's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' you hear behind us. But, that's not Taylor Swift's version. It's the cover by the lovely young lady coming to ringside, Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter!"

Tess: "Winter a girl who, lots of folks believe, has the ability to win the belts in this division..."

Cassie: "Might be able to win the JMD title, too..."

McCarthy: "PLEASE! With that pathetic excuse for a rack?"

Cassie: "...that's not filled with industrial grade silicone. There. Fixed it for you!"

McCarthy: "You LITTLE..."

O'Dell: "Normally, we'd be looking at just one more fight to go, but, tonight, the end of this one will be the half way point. I may need booze right here at the table. Ariel into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal that curve-hugging white number we've seen before, and it's time for some picks. Tess likes Winter. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Nothin' but a number. Shahi!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Split panels abound. And Shahi is on the move as we start this thing. Not a surprise, because Sarah's always been one of the more athletic flys. Shahi bouncing, jabbing, Winter wants to close and bang, of course, that being Ariel's game, but Shahi not going to have it..."

McCarthy: "See, this is why J-MAC is so great. I can MOVE like that and also hit like a truck. Put those things together and you get the Greatest Fighting Playmate of All Time!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Winter patient. Moving the feet, looking to cut the ring and bring her rival to battle, but Shahi too slick at the moment. She's staying in open ocean, making Ariel's job very, very difficult. And, the former champ scoring not just with that jab, but the right, too..."

Cassie: "Timing the stop and pops very, very well."

O'Dell: "Is, indeed. Twenty seconds to go in the opening round, and this couldn't have gone much better for Sarah. Shahi's got her terms, she's gotten into rhythm, and she's scoring well with both hands. There's the bell, and there's no question about the opening stanza. Shahi. Wide."

Tess: "And, Sarah up 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Shahi moving and Ariel working to cut the ring. Winter a little busier now, trying to create the heavy inside exchanges she likes. Sarah, meanwhile, wants to box, and she's doing that very well at the moment. Older brunette's still got plenty of leg, doesn't she, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Nothin' but a number!"

O'Dell: "Ariel cuts the ring, works some body. She lands a good right hand, but Sarah slips away and gets back to the war of movement. Winter patient, stalking, cutting, getting inside to work some more body. Sarah ties up, slips away again and gets back to the jab."

Tess: "Neither girl getting everything they want this time."

O'Dell: "Unlike in the first, when Shahi had her terms. Result is, we've had a competitive round to this point. Not a lot in it as we head into the final seconds. Sarah jabbing, moving. Ariel stepping to and Shahi ties her up immediately. Referee breaks and there's the bell. Close. Sarah again."

Cassie: "And, Shahi up 20-18 now."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the third, and I think the pattern may now be set. Shahi going to stay in motion, try to box in space, while Ariel works to crowd and bang, and it's going to come down to which lady gets more of what she wants. And, at the moment, nobody's getting an advantage..."

Cassie: "The longer this goes, though, the better for Winter. Sarah's still in great shape, but she's not 25. Can she keep moving for ten rounds without slowing down?"

McCarthy: "I can dance ALL NIGHT! And, I'm 47! And in the Top Twenty!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Ariel closes, bangs some body. Sarah tying up. Winter levers her, works that midsection. And, all this body work could have an effect, too. You wonder of the younger girl is investing to get into Sarah's legs. Or, maybe just working the fight plan that's worked so well for her in the past."

Tess: "She's definitely shown she can beat top fighters with it."

O'Dell: "Ten to go in a sharply paced third. Both fighters have been working hard and getting leather on target. Not a ton in it. GOOD right from Ariel backed Sarah up a step and there's the bell. Our second straight very close round, but this time Winter's going to get on the board."

McCarthy: "29-28, Shahi."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Back to the pattern we go in the fourth. Shahi still moving very, very well. Winter working the angles, looking to cut the ring and close when she does that. Sarah tying up as Ariel gets inside. Winter punches free, but the older brunette slips away to open canvas."

McCarthy: "This is why Weirdo's fighters never win anything. They're poorly trained and get out-smarted, because Campbell is an idiot!"

Tess: "I remember Neve outsmarting YOU several times..."

McCarthy: "She NEVER outsmarted ME!"

Cassie: "I seem to recall you lying on the canvas at her feet more than once..."

McCarthy: "I NEVER...I was ROBBED!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Final twenty seconds of the fourth. It's been nip and tuck throughout with Winter scoring on the inside and Sarah offsetting those points with her own when they're boxing at range. SHARP exchange there and both fighters landed a good right hand in it. There's the bell. And, literally, nothing in it. Even round."

Tess: "39-38 in favor of Shahi."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Sarah on the move as we start the fifth. Ariel patient, working the feet, cutting the ring, banging some body. Shahi ties up, slips away again. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Shahi with that accurate left jab, sticking it in Winter's face as she moves around the ring. Sarah stops to pop and GETS ROCKED WITH A RIGHT HAND!"

Tess: "Timed that one almost perfectly!"

O'Dell: "Older brunette stumbles back into the ropes and now Ariel's all in! Winter hot tossing as Shahi holds on in a tight guard. Younger woman trying to finish this thing right now, but Shahi playing solid defense, firing back in spots, doing enough to keep the ref at bay..."

McCarthy: "Veteran smarts against Front Street stupidity."

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of the round. Winter digging body HARD now, trying to bring down that guard, but Shahi not having it. She's keeping the hands high, tying up now. Ref going to break the fighters apart. Five seconds to go. Good right from Ariel and there's the bell. Winter. Wide."

Cassie: "And, we're even at 48, but Ariel may live to regret not finishing."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Second half underway and Winter walking Sarah down now. Shahi still a bit wobbly from last round and Ariel taking full advantage, making with the heavy leather. Sarah playing defense, keeping the hands high, countering in spots, not allowing Ariel to take full control..."

Cassie: "Winter needs to be patient here. Don't force it."

O'Dell: "That seems to be the plan. Younger brunette slowly working Shahi backward. Sarah slick, staying off those ropes, countering, making Winter pay a price for all this offense she's got going and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND AND SHAHI WOBBLES AND GOES DOWN!"

Tess: "She CAUGHT her with that one!"

O'Dell: "Sarah flat on her back staring up at the referee as Ariel heads to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Shahi rolling to her belly at six. Seven. Eight. She's pushing to hands and knees at nine. TEN! It's OVER! Shahi still on all fours as the count passes her by and it's OVER! And your winner by KO6 is Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Ariel Winter, and, Ariel, good fight tonight..."

Ariel: "Knew it would be. She's a champion. Still in great shape. Still quick and slick. Just didn't have enough to handle ME. And, there's a lot of that going around."

Tess: "What's next for you?"

Ariel (shaking her head): "Yeah, see, Kris won the title and we signed these two new flys and now everyone's forgotten about ME. But. I'm the best flyweight in this stable and my goal is to get another shot at those belts."
