Sadly, the play-by-play of this JMDD fight was lost due to a computer glitch. Here's what happened.

ROUND ONE:

Perry very aggressive, surprising Biel, getting her on the back foot and keeping her there. Jess not used to a fighter coming right at her like this. She's getting bullied around the ring as Katy takes the fight to her and grabs the round wide to take the 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO:

Katy's clearly got a plan. She's going to press the action, use her power and strength rather than let Jess use athleticism that is superior even to Katy's. About half way in, though, Perry gets CAUGHT and HURT and Biel turns things around, giving the Front Streeter a thorough thrashing. She takes it wide to even things at 19.

ROUND THREE:

Gets worse for Perry. Biel's got it going on all cylinders now. She's hurting Katy again and again, and, about a minute in, she DROPS her with a right hand. Katy barely beats the count and spends the rest of the round taking a thumping, as Biel works some rack. Perry barely holding off the referee. 29-27, Biel.

ROUND FOUR:

Biel in control for the first two minutes, punishing Perry and her jugs. Katy starts to stabilize late, begins firing back. It's far too late to affect the result of the round, however. Jessica takes it cleanly and stretches her lead to 39-36.

ROUND FIVE:

Fighters on even terms. Both are getting their offense on now, working head, body, jugs. Neither taking a backward step as the action gets fast and furious with both fighters trying to impose will. Nobody gets that done, but Biel wins the round close and now leads 49-45.

ROUND SIX:

More aggression mid-ring. Nobody willing to cede anything to anybody. BOOM! Perry rocks Biel mid-round! All of a sudden, Jessica's in full retreat and Katy's going all in to try to win this thing. Last thirty seconds see Perry going all JMDD on the Hall of Famer, but Biel holds on. It's Perry wide and Jessica up 58-55.

ROUND SEVEN:

More Perry. She's got Jess wobbled and she's taking advantage, punishing the Hall of Famer to head, body, and, especially, rack. Biel game, banging back in spots, but it's Perry in control from bell to bell. She takes it wide again and cuts the lead to 67-65.

ROUND EIGHT:

Katy trying to finish. She's stepping to Jessica, letting the hands go. Biel firing back, trying to slow the Front Streeter down. Manages to stabilize her front at mid-round only to be DROPPED by a BOOMING right hand! Looks to be all over, but, hey, that's Jessica Biel. She gets to her feet at nine, and, despite taking a thumping, holds on to the bell. After eight, we're dead even at 75.

ROUND NINE:

Katy tossing all the reserves in, determined to finish this now. Biel giving ground, countering, still buzzed. Second minute. BOOM! Scintillating right by Katy and DOWN GOES JESSICA! And, this time, despite her best efforts, the Hall of Famer can't make it to her feet! It's OVER! And your winner by KO9 is Katy Perry!
