TESS VALMORE

Collins got back on track with a win over Lucy Hale. She had a three inch height advantage. It didn’t help her in their first fight, but she must have learned a lesson as she used it in helping to win the fight.

In my predictions, I said the Lynch was unpredictable. I actually thought she would win this fight. She didn’t. This was Lynch’s fifth stable war. She now has lost in four of them. That can’t make VIXEN management very happy.

I predicted Bellisario would beat Ratajkowski. Well, Ratajkowski won but it wasn’t a big surprise.

The Lopilato/Atwell proved the competition one faces is important. Atwell was having a hard time while Lopilato had a fairly good year in 2019. Atwell had fought far better competition It showed as the flattened Lopilato in six.

When the 13th ranked welter faces an opponent who is ranked 34th in the lightweight, it’s no shock that the welter won. I wouldn’t call it a big win unless you consider every win big.

Ren/Benoist was a gimme. Ren is ranked at two in the lightweights by Boxing World. Benoist, a bantam, had lost six of her last ten. The surprise was Benoist managed to make it to the seventh round.
