ASHLEY BENSON VS HALSTON SAGE

Ashley: 30 YO, 5’4 (1.62 m), 20-30-0, 20 KO since 2010, Pretty Little Punchers

Halston: 26 YO, 5’5 (1.66 ,m), 0-1-0 since 2018, Free Agent

Before: “I am not naïve,” says blonde Halston Sage, “I know they signed me because Ashley Benson has lost 10 of her last 11 FCBA fights. They think I’m the answer to stop the slide. Okay, so I have only had 1 fight in the fed and lost that one to Allison Mack. Let me tell you: I nobody’s jobber. I am grateful to be signed for this fight, but I am out to win this thing—not that beating a loser like Benson would be all that big an upset.”

Ashley Benson is looking daggers at Halston: “If I were you, I’d watch what I say to someone who has had 49 fights more than you have.”

“And has now lost well over half of them,” Halston said snidely. “I looked you up.”

“You’ll be looking up at me from the canvas,” Ashley growls.

“I would say the odds are more in my favor,” says Halston defiantly, “What are you going to say when you’ve lost to me?”

“That in order to do that you must have cheated. You have desperate from a win—jobber?” Ashley snaps back

Halston is in a light white top and pale blue short shorts, She storms up to Ashley (who is in a red top with black short shorts). “Don’t you dare call me a cheater! I fight fair and I fight to win—and don’t you forget—loser!”

Ashley’s face turns red and slams the palms of her hands into Halston’s shoulders to send her tottering back on the she (and Ashley) are wearing. Halston then lunges back and rips open Ashley thin red blouse exposing the white lacy bra beneath. Ashley lets out scream of rage and rips off most Halston’s blouse revealing a satiny light blue bra. The two stand there, glaring at each other, chests heaving and then they lunge for each other.

It is quite battle, Halston shows some wrestling skills with a neat hip toss of Ashley, but Ashley lashes out with a leg sweep that drops Hallie on her blue shorts. Then Ashley pounces on the fallen blonde, but Halston now grabs Ashley’s dark hair. Ashley goes for the blonde’s locks and the two of them roll around using their knees to kick as their hands are now locked in each other’s tresses. Finally they stagger back to their feet still caught in the mutual hair lock.

“Why are you picking a fight with me?” Ashley demands. “I haven’t even had to chance to beat you up yet.”

“You disrespected me, I won’t allow that,” says the PRODIGAL SON actress, then she adds: “but I think I have proved my point. If you let go of my hair, I’ll let go of yours.”

“Okay,” Ashley says after thinking it over and the two of them release.

“That hip toss was pretty good, you into wrestling?” Ashley asked.

“If I can’t get a boxing gig in one of the independent feds, I’ll take a wrestling match on an apartment house carpet or private ring. Plus some girls just like a catfight.”

“Okay, then, we’re even. You don’t call me a ‘loser’ and I won’t call you a ‘jobber’,” Ashley offered.

“Agreed,” Halston said. At that point FCBA Security put in a belated appearance. “Hi, guys, crisis over, Ashley and I have settled our differences—for now.”

“For now,” Ashley said with a smirk.

The two meet next in the ring on PPV night. Sage is in a shimmering silver one piece swimsuit with black gloves and boots (silver laces). Blonde hair in ponytail Ashley is in a burgundy faux lingerie high waisted bikini. White boots and gloves with burgundy laces. Dark hair in a single battle braid. Fighters smiling confidently and look eager to go. The ring instructions are covered promptly. The fighters exchange a determined glove “tap” and then head for their corners. That short, but somehow long wait and then the bell rings.

R1: Halston clearly eager to be the first one out of the gate and the first to start punching. She goes for Ashley’s jaw and swivels the brunette’s head. Ashley staggered, but quickly stuffs a right hook into Hallie’s gut and sends the blonde stumbling back with the breath blown out of her. Ashley quickly pursues and fires more punches into Halston’s midsection. Halston seems to be weathering these body punches better and she jabs back hard into Benzo’s boobs. Ashley stung lashes back at Hallie’s hooters and we have a nice little jugg jolting session going. Then Halston cracks a right uppercut to Ashley’s chin and a hard follow up left to the jaw. Ashley lurches back and tries to regroup as the round ends. It’s close, but Halston Sage is awarded it by the judges.

R2: Halston again aggressive as the new round opens. She has less success trying to get at Ashley’s head this round as Benzo is able to block or blunt most of the incoming. So the blonde attacks to the body. Hallie boldly gets into Ashley’s face as she hammers the brunette to the belly and ribs. Ashley not about to back down to this sort of intimidation tactic, gives Hallie a pounding series of hooks to the gut and rib cage. Hallie pressing so hard that she and Ashley’s breasts keep slamming into each other. Referee has to break this up several times. Action is even, but then Hallie sets her feet and hammers home the belly buster hooks with extra power. Ashley bent forward and then pulling back. Halston trying to build on this, but Ashley’s stubborn jab manages to halt this. Another intense round and once again it is Halston Sage who emerges the narrow winner.

R3: Ashley feeling the pressure comes out determined not to let Halston take the initiative in this round. Ash is out quickly, just a bit faster than Hallie and it allows her to strike first with a crunching right to the ribs, Halston now the one being heavily pressed as Ashley comes forward and bombards her with head and body punches in a confusing pattern. Hallie banged up to the face as her cheekbones and mouth are struck by quick Benzo blows. Then Ashley in down to roast those ribs and pound that belly. Halston digs in and fights back over the later half of the round. Punches really flying now as Hallie is trying to seize control of the round, but Ashley slowly grinds the blonde’s efforts to a standstill. Then Ashley moves in with a big dose of jugg mugging. Hallie fights back with jugg punches of her own and they pound puppies down to the bell. Two of them back away and stare at each other, sweat dripping from their bodies which are no doubt still ringing from all the punching they took. No word said, they just look at each other and turn away. Judges total up the scores and Ashley Benson has pulled out a close win.

R4: Halston must not to have liked being out-hustled by Ashley at the start of the last round so she makes sure she is the first one out. Trouble is, Ashley seems to have expected this, she lets Hallie come rushing in, right arm cocked, but then Ashley lunges in to drive a straight right into Halston’s face—right between her eyes! Halston recoils on shuddering legs and Ashley leaps in with rights and lefts to the jaw. Hallie covering up but Ashley swift to return to attacking the blonde to the body. Hallie faltering under attack and Ash able to drive the blonde into the ropes. Halston trying to fight Ashley back as she slides along the ropes trying to escape the brunette, but Benzo not letting her get away. Halston finally just taking a seat on the ropes and covering her face. Ash now working Halston’s flanks until time runs out. Ashley Benson has won this round wide and left Halston Sage trudging wearily back to her corner with her face all cut and swollen.

R5: Some observers wondered if Halston Sage would even come out for this round, but the blonde gamely comes out at the bell. She does look slow and moves with caution. Ashley circling around her warily just in case Halston has brought her acting skills to the ring. Ash apparently concludes Hallie really is badly banged up and in desperate need of rest. She get none from Benzo who attacks Hallie hard to the belly. Halston doubling up with a groan and then Ashley starts lifting punches up into Hallie’s hanging hooters and her face. Hallie tries to pull back from this onslaught, but Ashley drives a right over Halston’s weak high guard and into her jaw. Halston is staggered. Ash pours straight rights and lefts into Halston’s face before the coup de grace of a right uppercut to the chin. Halston, her face a swollen and discolored wreckjust topples over backwards and lands on the canvas with a dull THUD. Ashley heads for the neutral corner as referee steps in. Halston is trying to raise herself, but her strength is gone, she slumps back as the referee cries:

“NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!”

THE WINNER ASHLEY BENSON DEFEATS HALSTON SAGE KO5!

After: “That really felt good. The winning I mean,” Ashley Benson tells Archer News reporter Skip Tracey after the fight. “sorry about busting Halston’s face up like that, but you see an opening in boxing—you take it. Her face was wide open so I punched it—a lot. She shouldn’t worry. Girls heal really fast around here and I ought to know. I’ve gotten busted up a few times myself.”

Halston Sage talks to Skip Tracey the next day, she’s wearing sunglasses, but the bruises on her face are quite evident.

“Of course I am sorry I lost the fight and got beat up in the process, but I am not at all discouraged. I really liked going toe to toe with Ashley and beating her at it a couple of rounds. I want more fights so I can improve and show people I can be a winner. I don’t like losing, but I know you have to put it behind you and move on. That’s what I hoped to do.”

This was a “had to” win fight for Ashley Benson, she did and she broke her losing streak. However to truly right the ship, Ashley is going to have to show she can win against more experienced fighters than Halston. Her next few fights should show if this was the start of the road back or just a jog on a downward journey. As for Halston Sage, she did show a willingness to fight and did look good in close with the veteran Ashley, but Benzo able to hurt her in the 4th and finish her in the 5th. Toughness is very important in a successful boxing career and that is an area where Halston Sage needs to work to improve. Fun fight, though, with plenty of unching action and fans; can feel they got their monies worth.
