Alyssa Lynch vs Isabel Lucas

Alyssa:
(23, 5’7, 120, 22:12 FCBA, VIXENs)

Isabel:
(35, 5’6, 0:2 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
Tough times indeed for Ms Lynch, for the first time in her career stuck on a four-fight losing streak that has few signs of abating. Her most recent setback of course was the fight against newcomer Samara Weaving, and the string of other defeats against top girls in respective stables hasn’t helped matters. But according to Ms Lynch, it’s make or break time tonight:

“I can’t explain it - I’d been doing relatively well sometime last year, then Diana Korkunova came along and totally wrecked my confidence. Maybe that’s why I haven't fared too well in all my fights since then. But hey, the losses stop tonight. No offense to Isabel, but she hasn’t won a single fight, so if I end up losing tonight, I might as well hang up my gloves.”

Isabel caught smiling from across the table at the younger girl’s remarks, the Australian actress best known for her starring role opposite Megan Fox in the Transformers series, and doesn’t seem perturbed by all that stress from a stable breathing down her neck.

“I sympathise with Lynch. I do. The pressure’s on tonight for her, and I wish her all the best. Me on the other hand? I’m just happy to get a chance to fight. Not many people would place a bet on a girl who hasn’t won a single fight thus far, but you know what? I like my chances indeed tonight, because it shows how much, or little, confidence Alyssa’s stable has in their girl if they’re picking me as her opponent.”

That last comment draws some tough gasps from the audience, who aren’t sure if Lucas was being serious or snarky. Ladies meet in the center podium, not saying a single word but glaring into each other’s faces. Alyssa comes in a little taller and younger, but Isabel’s holding her own in the tense staredown until the ring official comes to pull them apart.

Later in the ring, ladies make ready in their respective corners: Alyssa tightening the strings of red gloves, the Vixen dressed in a black bikini top and white hot denim shorts. Isabel on the other hand going for a simple blue bikini top and long black tights, setting her black gloves into a fighting stance. HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Alyssa gets cocky, a little like the time she fought Samara Weaving: she charges at the older blonde as soon as the bell rings, thinking she’s got the goods down to dominate. But Isabel’s guard is put up and firm, taking the first strikes to the forearms before giving Alyssa a scare in turn with sudden swipes towards her face shooting outta nowhere. Alyssa doesn’t get the memo, however, keeps up her brand of pressure by hammering punch after punch into Lucas’ arms, not letting up even when the blonde begins to predict the brunette’s rhythm: Lucas times a counter-shot as she snaps a right hand clean to the nose, another grazing Lynch’s lips, and by the time the first round ends, it’s bad news for Alyssa whether she realises it or not, her nose turned pink from all that abuse and even exploding in frustration towards her corner when Corey Saucier points out the flaws in her strategy going forward.

ROUND 2:
Alyssa’s frustration certainly boils over, especially when she doesn’t get the chance to beat down a blonde rival. She comes into every fight as though she’s got something to prove to arch-nemesis, Alexis Ren. But that obviously can’t be too healthy for the soul in the long-run. Lynch moves forward to pressure Isabel again, but this time, she’s taking the advice from corner and moving more methodically by striking and advancing, striking and advancing, finally landing shots into Lucas’ face and body. But Isabel has some tricks of her own up her sleeve, keeps up her defensive posture and then hits back at the brunette’s face with successful counter-strikes. If only Lynch managed to be a tad more cautious, she could definitely find the holes in the Aussie’s guard. But for now, the Vixen reclaims lost territory with a wide round of her own.

ROUND 3:
Lucas’ calmness and focus are her greatest strengths, so far dealing with Lynch like an impatient schoolgirl who deserves a smack across the face. She stays clear of Lynch in the first half, sticking to her counter-attack strategy, therefore landing punches far more often and even mixing in a hook to the side of Alyssa’s head, then another swing scoring off the lean body. But Lynch switches her stance mid-round, giving the blonde a taste of her own medicine as she BASHES a right hand straight into her face, drawing a low gurgle from her lips. Alyssa rushes in after her target, more jabs chasing Lucas to the bell, which denies the Vixen a possible knockdown.

ROUND 4:
Isabel’s still shaking her head as she comes out of her corner in the fourth, looking to continue her technical fighting. What she doesn’t count on, however, is Alyssa literally RUNNING at her at the bell, a left hand bash into her raised arms just in time, before a step-in right hook CATCHES the poor girl clean on the chin!! OWW! AND JUST LIKE THAT! Isabel’s sent down onto her back by that tremendous clothesline attack! She hit the canvas with a resounding THUMP! It’s an early KNOCKDOWN for Alyssa Lynch in spectacular fashion! Could this fight be over before it begins?!

Referee starts the count with Isabel still lying spread-eagled in the middle of the ring, her eyes fluttering upwards at the stadium lights, arms and legs barely stirring as the rest of the stadium ROARS in her eardrums. Her chance of recovery dims with each passing number, with Alyssa seen smirking in her own corner, already high-fiving her trainers before the referee even hits the final count of 10. There goes the bell! It’s over!!

Official Decision: Alyssa Lynch defeats Isabel Lucas via KO4!

AFTER:
Alyssa Lynch SNAPS her losing streak and does so like rubber-band striking the skin awake, knocking out Lucas within four rounds and still eyeing more action. The brunette is brisk with her own self-praise, channeling some of her nemesis’ energy tonight, if we don’t mind saying so.

“b*tch couldn’t last five rounds if she tried!” Alyssa later speaks to reporters with a smug expression. “All I can say is that I’m back in business, Alexis had better watch her step.”

Heartbreak for Lucas as she’s brought to at the other side of the ring, a third consecutive loss for her on her already short resume. But ironically, if there’s one person the blonde can take some inspiration from, it’s her opponent tonight: if Lynch could break her dry spell, we’re certain Lucas can too.
