This is a showdown between two of the best stacked girls ever to appear in British Soap, and two girls who were friends not so long ago, when Gemma seemed to be encouraging Cat in her Strictly Come Dancing adventure, since when the relationship has tuned sour as Gemma has described Catherine as a ‘slut’, and a ‘wannabe Gemma’ whilst Cat has described Gemma as ‘ grinning fool’ with a ‘brain like a goldfish’

So now they will fight in an apartment, kitted out in lingerie, wearing boxing gloves, with a referee officiating, at a secret building in Manchester, where the fight is about to be announced

"Tonight, Apartment Lingerie Boxing Association proudly presents you a clash of local lasses, who have made it big in more ways than one on British TV screens! They are currently not showing any respect for each other, and are ready to inflict damage on each other, so please give them both a big welcome as they fight it out tonight, with the winner needing to knock out her opponent, or make her beg for mercy! And so, in the blue corner, from Bury, please welcome the star of Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and Casualty, she’s big, she’s brassy and she’s 35! It’s only Gemma Atkinson!" Gemma grins broadly as she she steps out of her robe and fightfans cheer as she reveals herself in a baby blue bra, panties and suspender belt with black stockings and blue gloves, and she parades around the room, banging her gloves together

The announcer rubs his crotch subconsciously and continues, "And in the red corner, her opponent tonight, from Salford, the 36 year old pouting Coronation Street beauty we all love – it’s Catherine Tyldesley!” The well endowed babe drops her robe, and shows off her body, clad in a lacy red bra, knickers and suspender belt, with red stockings and gloves, and she snaps at Gemma, “Your time is up, you bitch!”

The bells rings for the opening round, and there doesn’t seem to be much chance that either girl wants to defend in this fight, both of them going at it hard, Gemma quick on her feet and soon finding Cat’s face with her left jab, while Cat’s a little flat footed, and needs to rely more on counter punching so far, takes a good left and right combination to her face, but then gives Gemma some back, landing a right handed punch on Gemma’s eye, then a left in her mouth, Gemma not flinching, loads up a body punch with her right glove, thudding that into Cat’s midsection, the older blonde grunting and panting as that lands, drops her gloves too readily for her own good, and eats leather immediately, Gemma banging a left jab, right cross and left hook into Cat’s waiting face, and she staggers backwards, giving the game away that she’s been hurt, sticking out her right jab, but with little conviction, and Gemma nails her with a left hook to her face again, then another, the bell coming just in time for Cat it seems

The girls return to their corners, where Gemma’s getting some fairly casual pressure being put on a bruise to her left eye, but Catherine’s wincing as her ribs are being rubbed, the bruising fairly obvious, as is the swelling around her right eye, but she’s raring to go at Gemma again when the bell rings

And it’s Cat who leads the way in round two, as she works on Gemma’s body, thumping her famous boobs side to side, Gemma stepping back, looking pretty angry before showing Cat what she’s got, ripping big, arcing uppercuts up from her knees into the older girl’s body, the punches landing heavily right under her ribcage, and they all seem to hurt Catherine, who can’t seem to get much right as yet in this fight, whilst Gemma shows her well known fighting skills, moving Cat backwards with some skill until she can’t go any further, the wall at her back, and Gemma saying, “Wanna hit my tits, do ya?” before returning the punishment, standing back and psting Catherine’s equally well endowed chest, before smearing a right hook across her mouth, Cat’s leg kind of raising off the floor in reflex and kicking sideways, before she crashes to the floor, groaning and hurt, the referee eventually beginning a slow count, allowing Cat to get up at 6, but there’s a little while to go before the bell, and Gemma makes sure that Cat endures that time in more pain as she bangs punches into her rival’s body one after another, taking her time, Cat pinned to that wall, tears running down her face as Gemma weakens her resolve, telling her at the bell, “You’re nothing! Just a fat slut who shed fat!” reminding Catherine of when she was very overweight

Once again, Gemma’s corner aren’t very busy with their girl, apart from fussing over her left eye, whereas Catherine’s helpers are working hard on her ribs and swollen, bloodied lips, the Corrie babe looking very unhappy, knowing that Gemma is right – she looks fit, but her abs are weak from dieting, and that makes her vulnerable

The bell rings, and the girls are on their feet again, Gemma immediately unloading to Cat’s body with left and right handed punches, but the older blonde isn’t going down without a fight, grits her teeth, and thuds a couple of swinging right hooks onto Gemma’s swollen left eye, making the bruising work, then she rips a left handed uppercut into the younger blonde’s mouth, sending her teetering backwards towards the wall, gives her a left hook which sinks into her midriff, then swats her hard across the face with another pair of right hooks, and Gemma’s bleeding now, cut over and under her swollen left eye, but she stays strong, and comes right back at Cat, banging hard, straight punches into her face, then leathering her body again, turning her, ignoring the blood running down her face to deliver a series of hard punches to the older blonde’s body, until she just slumps to her knees at Gemma’s feet, the younger blonde sneering, “Nice try, bitch!” and stepping back for the referee to count, Catherine up again at 7, but not very stable, and now Gemma feints to punch her body, but hammers her face instead, Cat’s skin soon bruised and swelling, both cheeks sporting nasty lumps, her jaw reddened, Gemma finishing the round with a smacking right uppercut, which collides with Cat’s nose, blood immediately dribbling from both nostrils

And between rounds this time, both girls need treatment, Gemma’s left eye badly cut and closing, Catherine’s nose looking broken, her jaw and cheeks badly damaged, and it’s hard to see how much more punishment they can take, but that’s what they must do, and they’re both patched up and ready for a fourth round, watched by a very excited audience

No time is wasted by either girl, as they crack punches into each other’s face, and they’re both bleeding again, Cat’s right glove bouncing off Gemma’s battered eye, but the younger blonde again rips punches into Catherine’s body, making her squeal in pain, and, as she leans over in reflex, Gemma bangs punches into her face, left and right handed shots landing, Catherine’s blood dripping onto the carpet, and she goes down again, leans on all fours, gasping and sobbing, peering up at Gemma and rising, trying to focus on her tormentor, who promises her, “I’m gonna finish you the f*ck off, now!” as she stands up at 8, Gemma smacking her backwards towards the wall, giving her reddened body yet more punishment, then she finishes the job in style, left hook, left hook, right uppercut, and Catherine’s down, flat on her back, arms and legs outstretched

Gemma gets to celebrate a great win, although not without personal cost, and she knows that Jaye Jacobs would love to fight her in this genre of combat.
