(Girls Friday vs Free Agent)

Intro:
The next fight tonight sees Ivana Baquero look to keep her title hopes alive by taking on Fiona Wade, who will be looking to upset the apple cart in London's York Hall.
Ivana is 24 years old; she stands 5'3 and holds a record of 9 wins, 8 by knockout and 2 defeats.
Fiona is 39 years old; stands 5'1 and holds a record of 4 wins, all by knockout and 3 defeats.

Both women were interviewed at their gyms; Ivana finishes up sparring with stablemate Maisie Williams, with both young women hugging after a hard session.
Ivana steps out the ring and takes a drink, then says to the press "so I have Fiona next, well I don't know much about her personally but I have seen her fights and she has some good skills, just well she isn't young anymore, so I know physically I outclass her"
When asked about the BBU flyweight title; Ivana answers "that's the million dollar question right now, the flyweight division is so stacked right now, I mean in this room alone me and Maisie could be considered for a shot in my eyes"
A "thanks!" Rings out across the room as Maisie cheekily has one glove on and a thumbs up on her free hand to get a chuckle in the room.
After laughing; Ivana says "so I just am waiting and seeing right now, keeping my fitness up with fights and hopefully it ends up with me as the champion"
In a London gym; Fiona is busy working on the weights, stopping to talk to the journalists as her coach tells her she has 5 minutes to speak to them.
"OK so last time you all saw me I was in a pig pen thanks to that bytch Roxanne (Pallett) but I have been working my arse off to get into shape to knock this Ivana whoever she is head off" says Fiona as she takes a sip of her drink.
When told Ivana said she is too old, Fiona quickly replies "did she now... I guess I will have to show her what wisdom has taught me with age or to be precise, what my fists feel like when I am battering her ugly f***ing mug in"

Fight night; out comes Ivana first, she has Lauren Berlingeri and Eva Carneiro by her side, she jogs to the ring with a smile on her face as she looks excited to get it on.
She is wearing a yellow sports bra, yellow and red striped set of trunks, red gloves with yellow thumbs and red shoes, her hair is braided for battle.
Stepping into the ring; she waves to the crowd as she heads to her corner, then settles into her warm up going through punching drills.
Now out comes Fiona; she has her coach in tow and eyes on the ring as she marches down the aisle, her coach can be seen behind her giving her a pep talk as she goes.
She is wearing a white sports bra, white trunks with black strips up the side, white gloves and white shoes with black laces, her hair is in a ponytail.
Climbing into the ring; Fiona quickly jogs over to her corner, clearly just wanting to get started as she begins to warm up with her eyes firmly on Ivana.
The fighters are waved by the referee to the ring centre; where they square up to each other, several verbal jabs are exchanged between them.
When asked to touch gloves; they thud them together and jog back to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Out come both fighters; they are light on their toes as they move around each other and flick their jab out early to test the other out.
Fiona is the first to go harder as she throws a feint with her right and lands a left cross as she moves in close, switching up to the body with two punches as Ivana moves back to land a stiff straight in reply.
As the round progresses; it surprisingly looks like Fiona is the more aggressive fighter of the two, taking several punches to her head, but slipping to the inside and throwing a greater number of punches to her opponent when they exchange in close.
But as she dips down to come inside; Ivana moves back and lands a double jab off the top of Wade's head, followed by a right cross that knocks her back a step.
Ivana seems to step up a gear late in the round as she finds on the inside; both women with their heads down let their hands go as they work the body.
Till the bell rings and both seem happy enough with their opening salvos, Fiona getting a nod for her aggression, just being reminded to time her attacks better though.
In the opposite corner; Lauren tells Ivana to stick to the gameplan, use her height and reach till she finds an opening and strike hard when it presents itself.

Round 2:
Fiona looks to keep getting in the face of Ivana; problem is that she looks a little slow compared to her opponent, meaning that as she tries to close the gap, Ivana is catching her flush to the face with her left.
The Spanish fighter leans out the way of a right hook; snapping Fiona's head back with a straight and then follows up with a left cross to knock her back behind her guard.
Ivana doesn't plough straight ahead as usual, instead dancing around Fiona and using her extra reach to slam her punches into the gloves of her opponent.
Who keeps trying to come out from her guard and ends up being smacked to her face with straight punches, Ivana controlling the action for the most part, only a few times does her attack slip that Fiona can come back to work on the inside.
Late in the round; Fiona times her attack, parrying a jab and landing one of her own up top, following with a right cross to push her opponent back.
The bell rings before she can make any inroads, but it provides a reminder to Ivana that Fiona isn't someone to sleep on.
The Girls Friday corner looks relaxed as they tell Ivana that she won that round and has a place to build off now in the fight.

Round 3:
Fiona doesn't rush as much; happy to trade jabs with Ivana as they circle, till she throws a feint and then dips down to use her shoulder to bump Ivana back a step.
Then Fiona lands an overhand right to put Ivana on the back foot, switching to the body as she works her opponent back onto the ropes.
Ivana needing to shove Fiona back; moving into space to work on the outside again as Fiona tries to stalk her around the ring.
Fiona manages to land a straight up top and a left cross as she seems to have stepped up a gear, forcing Ivana back again.
As Fiona has Ivana aimed at the ropes; the youngster shoves her back with her left to the face, with a right smacking across the face of Fiona to knock her back.
Now it's Ivana backing up her opponent, looking aggressive as she smacks Fiona's head back with a flurry of punches.
This time Fiona has to push Ivana back; opening up space for both to work in, they go toe to toe to finish off the round.
Both women just ignore each other as they pass after the bell rings, Ivana looking annoyed with herself as she knows she let Fiona back into the fight.

Round 4:
Fiona is looking to build off the last round; but she is met with an aggressive Ivana now, the younger fighter moving around her and landing her punches through the mitts of the English fighter.
When Fiona tries to dip down and come inside, Ivana dances back and lands two straight punches off the top of her head to knock her back.
Then when Fiona steps back; Ivana steps forwards and cracks her across the face with a right and left hook that looks to have rocked her back onto the ropes.
Fiona tries covering up, BUT IVANA LANDS A STRAIGHT UP THE MIDDLE TO OPEN THE GUARD UP FOR A LEFT CROSS AND ENDS WITH AN UPPERCUT THAT KNOCKS FIONA DOWN TO ALL FOURS!
Ivana jogs to a neutral corner, a smile on her face as the count begins 1..2..3...4 Fiona shakes her head to try and clear it, 5...6...7 she tries to use the ropes to pull herself up 8...9 but she is too dazed and falls to her knees again, 10 leading to her being counted out!

Winner Ivana Baquero KO Round 4

After:
Ivana keeps on rolling as she is now unbeaten in her last 8 fights, though most see this win as a tune up for bigger fights to see out the year.
While Fiona is checked on by her coach; she shakes her head annoyed that she left herself open so much at the end.
She is standing soon enough, if using the ropes to hold herself up as she stares across at Ivana, who is busy chatting away with corner team.
When both women are cleaned up and Fiona feels OK; they come to the ring centre for the final announcement, Ivana getting her hand raised as Fiona can be seen shaking her head and leaving the ring.
Ivana just shrugs her shoulders as she grins, not interested what Fiona thinks of the result as she bows to the fans and heads over to her corner after.
Celebrating with her corner team; who are praising her for sticking to the plan tonight and fighting smart as she shows she can use her boxing skills to win then just trying to bulldoze opponents.
Leaving the ring together; the Girls Friday crew will be hoping that BBU flyweight champion Cheryl Cole is taking notice, though the flyweight division is probably the most dense for talent in celebrity boxing.
