Krystal Forscutt vs Jessica McNamee
(BronzedOz Boxing vs The Metermaids)
(10-2-1, 9 KO vs BBU Debut)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: The news that current BBU lightweight champion Alessandra Ambrosio plans to offer veteran Lisa Maffia a shot at the straps has reached Melbourne as well and former challenger Krystal Forscutt simply couldn't remain silent anymore. The brunette stunner has been in and out of the BBU elite picture for almost seven years now and a three fight whitewash of the European-based talent back in 2016 seemed to vault her into immediate title contention again....

But then came Alessandra Ambrosio to clean out the 130 lbs division and Krystal was left with nothing... until today.

The erstwhile model turned fitness trainer is in the physical shape of her life according to Green & Gold's Sarah Cumming but the fear factor is very much real hence the lack of proper BBU opportunities over the last 18 months. However Krystal remains a fan favorite back home and was granted a place on tonight's card in the Crowne Plaza Hotel with The Metermaids Jessica McNamee accepting the fight on short notice.

McNamee has spend the majority of her boxing career as Jodi Gordon's sparring partner but she rejects the 'sacrificial lamb' comments that plague her upcoming BBU debut. The former 'Packed to the Rafters' actress offers intriguing physical traits but you just can't ignore the fact she would be better off fighting someone less accomplished than Forscutt on her introduction night!

Krystal Forscutt wears an orange bikini and black gloves. Long dark brown hair in loose waves. Jessica McNamee wears a brown bikini set and silver gloves. Long light brown hair straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Krystal takes it a bit easy here in the opener which allows Jessica to argue her boxing case with several promising jabs that test the brunette's high guard alas don't result in a proper breakthrough. It's almost like Krystal decided to wait for the newcomer's attacks to see what she's got but this tactics quickly proves unpopular with BronzedOz coach Nicky Whelan: "She's got nothin', just kick her ass!" Poor Jessica has heard that comment too and tries to send her some kind of a b#### stare rather than focus on the fight istself and Forscutt quickly makes her pay as she fires with a right cross on the nose that wobbles the actress onto her heels. Another single hand finds the brow ridge and forces McNamee back but she recovers well to catch the brunette with a spirited harpoon double on the ribcage. Krystal withstands this punishment and remains a little sluggish in execution which allows Jessica to flick more single punches come the final minute but without a noticeable success.

Round 2:
Jessica kicks into a higher gear early in the second but Krystal becomes too quick for her around the boards and perhaps those new fitness drills she follows outside of the ring will enable her to regain that elite status. Jessica looks nothing but desperate in her pursuit of a successful combo; she bounces off the high guard too often before soaking up a left/right cross on the nose. Forscutt begins to crank it up and splits the rookie's mitts with ease even though Sarah Cumming thinks she's barely reached half of her potential so far tonight. It's still too much for McNamee who gets bullied around the ring and looks genuinely spooked once the brunette connects with her temples. Even the Metermaids coach Holly Valance seems worried but hopes the Gold Coast woman will survive this test.

Round 3:
Krystal finally hits the front and pierces an otherwise stubborn high guard to connect with Jessica's cheeks and takes full advantage of her superior agility to clobber a hapless McNamee back to the ropes within the opening twenty seconds of the round. It's still not ultra-quick from the NSW brunette but powerful enough to keep her opponent trapped. The action turns into a glorified gym session according to Sarah Cumming with McNamee suddenly switching right off when Forscutt scythes her across the nose repeatedly to draw this red liquor called blood. Ugh! That happens right after the two minute mark and Jessica groans out in pain while the ref calls for a medical time out to annoy the Crowne Plaza audience. McNamee apologizes to her coach for letting Krystal to bust her up but it doesn't get any better for her afterwards since she's getting tagged from both flanks again and loses a close range exchange when the former BBU title challenger rips through her mitts with another head-hunting combo. Ugh! Jessica bellows out against the ropes and requires additional medical help to patch up her nostrils during the interval.

Round 4:
Forscutt seems annoyed over the injury she's inflicted on her opponent and begins to stack up more punches upstairs clearly targeting the wounded nose. McNamee gets beaten for the initial punch and immediately backs off but she just can't escape the swarming push from the fellow brunette so gets clobbered back to the ropes where Krystal dissects her guard and snaps the head back & forth until there's more blood coming from the damaged nose and Jessica herself can't take it anymore herself. SHE TAKES A KNEE simply to gather her thoughts and we have another medical stoppage as those wounded nostrils continue to leak blood. McNamee eventually recovers to resume the fight but Krystal's in no mood for games anymore and STUNS her with a left cross on the nose followed by a right hand on the eye. Ugh! Jessica gets glued to the spot and wobbles forward into another nasty hook that tears a patch under her left eye and now it's getting serious. She cries out and drops her gloves wholesale while the ref is quick to call for the doctor again. Holly Valance shakes her head too and the fight is stopped on cuts after a short medical delay. TKO4 Krystal Forscutt!!!

AFTER: Krystal doesn't seem to enjoy this victory as much as her coach Whelan but she later tells Sarah Cumming that she looked to work for at least seven or even eight rounds but Jessica just wasn't up for it: "Yeah, I took it easy there and I was like 60-70% when I busted her nose open. She got scared which is a shame. (...) I know she's a rookie but Jodi Gordon has gone MIA so I had to settle for the sidekick instead. Nobody wants to fight me on short notice here but I have this one JMDD offer from Europe so I might just go back there soon. Plus I hear that old slapper Maffia is indeed back in the title picture. Gimme a break! Even Holly Valance says that's a silly idea and we - yes, we - have to do something about it. I don't want to spoil it for you Sarah but ACB might well be back on top of BBU soon!"

Final result: Krystal Forscutt def. Jessica McNamee TKO4.
