TESS VALMORE

The May PPV was huge featuring 42 bouts. All titles were up for grabs. Two changed hands. Holt beat Danielle Campbell to retain the flyweight title.

I was a little surprised that Kosarin was able to take the title from Lilly.

Alexis Ren won the lightweight crown with a win over DiDonato. I thought Ren was a good fighter and had her pictured as a guardian type fighter. I never thought she would win the title. But, there she is wearing the belts.

Brooklyn Decker should be proud that she won a blatant mismatch which was called a “super fight” by her management. This fight, as a title fight, was a travesty.  Management seems to be looking for easy wins. Once agains Vassago invents stories. I have no idea how he got the idea I was involved in scheduling Theron’s bouts. We are good friends, but I have nothing to do with scheduling anyone’s fights. I don’t see my footprints anywhere. I will remind the “gentleman” that Tractorpull and Tess Valmore are not the same. I work for Tractorpull which is an organization and if my name doesn’t appear, I have nothing to do with whatever the story is. He even brings the Wiz and Front Street parties in. Why?

The flyweight bouts went as expected with one big exception, Moner beat Lowndes. That aside, Holt’s next bout will probably among the usual suspects like Panettiere, Vanessa Hudgens, Hudgens, Megan Fox, Among the newer fighters Madison Beer continues to impress.

Kosarin might take a PPV off as she figures out who her first defense will be against. Larson with her big win over Scodelario would seem to make her a prime choice, but she lost a title match in February and then lost to Kosarin in March.  Bennet. Bellisario, Dobrev, Bella Thorne and Lovato are all in the wings.

Ren’s win makes the lightweight title picture interesting. Top contenders like Strahovski, Sagra and Agdal all lost. She has beaten Winstead twice already this year. She lost to Swift twice last year. Of course, Kendall Jenner is there and Lively threw her hat into the ring with her win over Strahovski. Missy Peregrym also served notice she deserves a title match with her win over Sagra. Missy has now had 97 fights, three short of the Hall Of Fame. If she could stay undefeated in the next two fights, a title fight in her 100th fight would be classic. Of course, there is no guarantee that Ren would be champion then.

Not a lot to choose from in the welters. Same old names. Of course, LCA could go scrapping the bottom the of barrel looking for opponents or maybe some lower ranked lightweights. Unfortunately the welters are about as shallow as my cat’s water bowel. Upton, Ferguson, T.Atkinson, Rhoda and Righetti are there but Righetti and Palicki are out since Vassago has the rule about not giving a title fight to anyone who has had a title in the last year. Don’t fear. Decker will defend her title, after all the dangerous Carrie Prejean and the daunting Laura Pausini are out there and can be had for a double cheeseburger.

Nolin’s defeat at the hands of Kaia Gerber is probably the last we will ever see of Nolin in the ring. None of the lightweights or welters will miss her illegal punching.
