Lily Collins vs Natalia Dyer

BEFORE:
“I actually liked Stranger Things. But that Millie Bobby Brown though... I can’t wait to box her in the face. She looks like an arrogant little b*tch on-screen and off. For now, I’ll make do with knocking her co-star Natalia, out.”

Lily with a smug expression as she speaks from the press table, her cocky self back and badder than ever since returning to her winning ways. Tonight, she faces off against Natalia Dyer, who looks hella stunning in her 1960s attire, making us think she might have belonged in that era of urban chic and bouncy hair-dos.

"Collins is another Vixen just too cocky for her own good. Just look at how she got schooled by Ana just three months ago?” Natalia replies with a coy smile. “I fought her teammate Emma a few months ago, but the difference is that Lily Collins ain't no Emma Watson. Not by a long-shot. I've got the firm backing of my stable, unlike Collins, who might get dropped at the smallest hint of trouble. I’m feeling confident about my chances tonight, for sure."

Ladies pose with their fists raised at the podium, an intensive staredown between them as Collins grins down at Dyer’s two-inch height disadvantage, but Dyer scowling back in defiance herself, her fingers twitching to slap the proud Brit across the face. It could also be Lily’s incessant goading at the newcomer to make a first move, but thankfully it doesn’t come down to that as the ring officials intervene to separate them from early action.

Back in the ring hours later, Collins is wearing a beige and sophisticated-looking two-piece swimsuit, a red pair of gloves on both her hands. Natalia is dressed in simple black sports bra and tight underwear, donning a pair of yellow gloves. HERE we go with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Lily parades her skills in the early fight, dancing around Natalia and pestering her with fast hands. Natalia taking things slow, which is not abnormal for someone with only six fights under their belt. Her head gets rocked back a couple times as Lily’s straight punches sting the nose, Lily playing her attack up with heavier hooks which rattle into the arms. But Natalia soon gains some confidence of her own in the final minute, returns with a stiff right hand shoved straight into Lily’s lips, stunning the Brit to the spot with a look of shock on her face. Natalia certainly can pack a punch herself - all she needs to do is land them with confidence, as Lily finds out the hard way here.

ROUND 2:
Lily storming inwards again, memories of her shocking loss to Ana de Armas still fresh on her mind when she meets Natalia’s offensive head on. Dyer not waiting for her foe’s attack to come, surprises Lily with her own flurry to the face, then more thumping action to the Brit’s body as she pays Collins back three-fold in the span of a minute. Lily grunts as she’s bent over from low-swung hooks, her attacks blunted to Dyer’s arms as the actress dips low and chugs lefts and rights at her sides, dismantling the Vixen’s confidence in methodical fashion. Collins still in shock as she’s pushed into the ropes, another hook to the arms creates an opening to wrap up with Dyer and hold onto her shoulders for dear life. Dyer not used to this clinch warfare, gets rotated along the ropes with Lily clutching under and above her arms, trying to pin the smaller girl down to take a breather for herself. Referee separates the two girls soon enough, but Collins has managed to catch her breath, staying far away for the remainder of this disastrous round.

ROUND 3:
Natalia’s found her opening now, advancing a lot more confidently on Lily’s position as she fires more straight hands clean into the Vixen’s arms, trying to force the confrontation. Collins still struggling to deal with the smaller girl’s power shots being fired in, and all she can do at this point is cover her head and keep moving backwards, her tummy getting tenderised when Dyer switches targets and rams in another left-right combo to the abs, driving Collins further back to the ropes. Collins however scores with a return fist shot through the rookie’s arms, catching Natalia on the chin with a grunt. That stops Dyer’s advance for a second, but the Emilia’s Empress starlet continues to stay close and on Lily’s case, trying to force her into a corner for a potential knockdown. But Collins keeps focused, a multitude of jabs fired at Natalia’s direction and an occasional lunging overhand scaring Dyer off till the bell rings.

ROUND 4:
That hesitation might hurt Natalia in the long run, as she’s already shown some signs of slowing down here. Lily not much better of course, wary in her own steps forward as the two meet in the middle for a throwdown! Collins relies on her jabbing routine as she resumes combos on the arms and body but has to jump out of the way each time Natalia rips a straight hand towards her face. Both girls have gotten better at feeling out what their opponent can do, so it’s a dance-off for the first two minutes the fighterso pound on the guard or miss entirely into the air. Eventually though, Collins is able to hurt Dyer with a left-right combo to the nostrils, the Brit squeezing in more right hands bashing into the face and cheek before ending the extended attack with a left hand smushed into the lips. Natalia grunts, thrown backwards in disarray, shaking the pain rapidly from her head and her eyes filling with tears. Collins with a slower but steady advance, peppers the actress’ body some more as she primes for an opening to take the smaller girl down. Unfortunately, the referee calls for the bell soon after, and Collins at least walks away this time with a well-fought advantage.

ROUND 5:
Natalia grows frustrated about not scoring hits on the faster, more agile Collins, who’s darting left and right to avoid her attacks with ease. Of course, Collins has gotten complacent many times before, grunting backwards from a single hit to the middle of her arms. Natalia comes in hot, sensing an opportunity here. She slams a fist into the body in order to stun Lily, before going to her head with a wide swing… but MISSES as Lily weaves her torso to the side and HAMMERS the brunette with a comeback uppercut to the chin!! OUCH!! Dyer’s head snaps backwards as she stumbles in shock, FALLING onto her butt instead before she can reach the safety of the ropes! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Lily Collins!!

Dyer’s head must be reeling as she tries to prop herself back up with both hands, but the referee’s already hovering by her side, reaching the mid-count of her demise. Not looking too great for her chances as Collins smirks from her corner, calm, steady breaths, and thinking how she’s gonna celebrate once this is all over. Dyer, to her credit, makes it up to her knees, slowly pushing one foot up at a time, but a last ditch effort to recover is just too much for her swimming head… Natalia falls back down to all fours as the referee finally counts her out! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Lily Collins defeats Natalia Dyer via KO5!

AFTER:
Mute celebration from Collins’ side as the Brit simply smiles widely, turns to hug her Co-Head Trainer Corey Saucier. A foregone conclusion in the Vixen’s head: to her, she’d always known she’d win, and it was more a matter of which round she would seize it.

“Pffft. I was always in control,” Lily later brags to reporters. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Dyer never stood a chance against me, and never will.”

But kudos due to Natalia Dyer, who’s quickly helped up and back to her corner. The medics check for bruises on her face as her coaches congratulate her on having given Lily plenty of trouble early on, whether Lily would admit it or not. And we certainly predict a bright future for the Stranger Things starlet, whose fame will only continue to grow here on out.
