Cierra Ramirez vs Isabela Moner

(Latina Knockouts vs Global Boxing Syndicate)

Results: Lookout; Story: Zenpo11

Before: Tonight we have an exciting and definitely interesting matchup between two petite, young latinas whom both are coming from good knockout victories. “Yeah, I saw the fight, Cierra put up an impressive fight against Danielle Rose Rusell but tonight she’s fighting me. I’ll give her the correct welcome to the FCBA by laying her out tonight and that’s a promise. I’m not letting her stop me from climbing up in the ranks!” Isabela addresses the press conference after being asked what she thought of Cierra’s debut in May’s PPV. “You really think you can beat me tonight? Last time I checked, Danielle knocked you out cold in 6 rounds and I convincingly beat her in 5 rounds. What makes you think the same won’t happen to you?” Cierra replies from the other side of the table with a huge smirk on her face. “Remember that styles make fights, don’t get too cocky now Cierra. You only have one win and by the end of the fight i’ll make sure you never want to get back in here again.” Things start to get heated as Cierra jumps off her chair and lunges at Isabela and shouts, “Fight me now then bi*ch!”. Luckily Cierra’s coach, Roselyn Sanchez is there to hold the young Mexican back. Isabela keeps her calm and simply laughs at Cierra. It is fair to say that Isabela won the mind games in the press conference.

On the night of the fight Isabela walks in with her trainer Daisy Fuentes. She wears a red bikini and white gloves representing her peruvian heritage. She seems to be relaxed as she bounces on her toes as she waits for her opponent to come out. Next, Cierra comes out walking with her trainer Roselyn Sanchez. Cierra wears a green bikini with red and white gloves to represent her Mexican descendants. She seems tense and overly eager to start this fight. She stares at Isabela throughout the whole time, not blinking once. The ref calls them in to give his final directions and tells them to touch gloves if they want. Isabela puts her right glove out and Cierra Refuses to touch them. The crowd boos at her and she simply goes back to her corner to start this fight.

Round 1: Cierra comes out guns blazing right at the bell to prove a point here in round 1. Isabela though, with eight fights under her belt has now gained enough experience to defend these attacks. Cierra throws a huge right, but Isabela simply ducks right under it and connects a right hook on Cierra’s body. Isabela takes the fight to the ropes where she continues to work on Cierra’s abs and rib cage. Cierra winces in pain and ends up throwing two wide hooks in desperation and manages to catch Isabela twice on the temple. She stumbles back and Cierra regains her stance. Both meet again in the center for the ring where they throw fakes here and there as they let the round pass by. Finally the bell rings indicating the end of the round. Both fighters were found hurt at a certain point of the round where neither really took control of the situation so the judges declared the round as a draw.

Round 2: Cierra comes into the round more careful now based on the directions of her trainer Roselyn. Isabella and Cierra meet again at the center of the ring once again and Cierra begins to throw sharp jabs at Isabela to measure the distance. Isabela seems to not have an answer to the jabs and Cierra quickly realizes that. She throws a three punch combination and manages to cut Isabela’s bottom lip up. Isabela tries to put her hands up but just as she does that, Cierra then starts throwing heavy blows to the midsection to lower Isabela’s guard. She knocks the wind right out of her and Cierra can smell the blood, She lunges in, in an attempt to take Isabela’s head off but somehow Isabela has the strength to swerve the attack and land a punch of her own. Cierra gets pushed back by the punch just as the bell rings indicating the end of round 2. Cierra definitely controlled the round as Isabela is seen holding her midsection as she walks back to her corner.

Round 3: Cierra jumps eagerly from her chair as she hears the bell indicating the start of round 3. She clearly feels confident after taking control in round 2. Isabela is no stranger to adversity though as we all saw how she came back after losing the first couple of rounds to Jessica Lowndes in May’s PPV. The spicy latinas are both trying to gain control of the fight here early in the round. Constant back and forth jabs from both girls, displaying world class boxing from two particularly young girls. Moner switches her stance and decides to go southpaw towards the end of the round and begins to have success with her right jab. Cierra tries to close the distance but is met by 2 sharp jabs to her nose that push her back. Isabela follows that up with a powerful uppercut that slams right into Cierra’s chin. Her knees wobble for a sec and just then the bell rings to save her from further punishment. Isabela’s last minute switch in her stance may have just won her the round after it was very competitively close. Just comes to show you the maturity as well as the dare the young Peruvian has in her arsenal.

Round 4: Roselyn gives Cierra some words of encouragement and advice right before the start of Round 4 while Daisy tells Isabela to remain cold headed and continue doing exactly what she is doing. Isabela meets Cierra and begins throwing short but powerful jabs, but instead this time Cierra waits for the right time and slams a vicious counter hook to the temple that rattles Moner’s brain, She covers up as Cierra closes her into corner of the ring in which Isabela’s corner is at. Cierra wastes no time and begins launching bombs at Isabela’s body. The body shots are heard clearly in a sold out MSG. The mexican crowd goes wild as their fighter is pummeling Isabela’s abs. Cierra gives every shot with 100% power as Daisy screams at her fighter to swing back. Isabela does just that, and Cierra ducks and hammers a 1-2 straight to chin. Her eyes flutter as she covers up as much as she can. The punishment continues the renaming of the round, but what is incredible is that Cierra couldn’t manage to get a knockdown on Isabela. Moner ‘s chin proves to be as tuff as nail as those shots surely would have knocked anybody else out. She wobbles to her corner really dazed, it looks as if she doesn’t know where she is exactly. Cierra raises her hand as she knows she definitely hurt Isabela pretty bad.

Round 5: Following the beating she gave Moner, Ramirez springs back into action, going in for the knockout but she quickly realizes that her stamina isn’t the same as in round 4. She throws sloppy punches that Isabela blocks fairly easily. Cierra very visibly, breathing heavy, her mouth open, her chest puffing in and out, and her hands hanging too low. Isabela capitalizes on this and throws two jabs that sting Cierra and finishes it with a left cross that bruises Ramirez right under the eye. It begins to swell impairing her vision on her right side. Moner throws quick combinations to the body and then to the face. Cierra’s limbs start to stiffen up as the pain consumes her body and finally decides to fight back. She catches Isabela with one good hook but it is too little too late as Isabela takes the round in convincing fashion.

Round 6: It has been one hell of a fight as we start the second half of the fight in a scheduled 10 rounder. The fans have seen an action packed fight seeing Ramirez take 2 rounds and Isabela take 2 as well. Both ladies took serious physical damage throughout this battle. Cierra seemingly has recovered slightly and regained valuable stamina needed for the later rounds. Once again Cierra establishing control early in the round using her footwork to get close to Isabela. Two sharp jabs and a hook to the body push Moner towards the ropes. Another left cross bounces Isabela’s head back as Cierra is setting the tempo here in round 6. Two minutes pass by and Isabela can’t find the answer to Cierra’s attack. Suddenly Isabela lands a strong uppercut from out of nowhere that catches Cierra completely off guard. She stumbles to the center of the ring and Isabela follows like a lion chasing her prey. Cierra blinks rapidly trying to shake off the daze but Isabela is too quick and delivers a devastating combo. A right hook to the liver that shuts Cierra’s body down, a straight right into her partially opened mouth, and finally a brutal uppercut that she never saw coming! Sweat flies off her head as her body instantly goes limp. She falls straight back, crashing into the canvas like a ragdoll. Her eyes rolled back and her arms crash above her head. The ref starts the count and Cierra is motionless. He reaches the count of 7 and her eyes flicker open. She tries to roll over but fails miserably as she falls back down, cheek smacking the canvas. AND IT IS ALL OVER! Isabela Moner KO6!

After: Isabela is all smiles as her hand is raised by the referee. Cierra is getting tended by Roselyn who looks at her defeated fighter in shock. She felt they had the fight in their hands and can’t believe it got away. “They call themselves ‘Latina Knockouts’ but the only ones getting knocked out are them. They don’t even have the best Latina in their roster to begin with….pathetic.” Isabela slams the mic as she leaves the arena with a hard fought victory that saw her in trouble a few times but managed to overcome. She continues to move up in the Flyweight division in search of gold around her waist. As for Cierra, she now has 1 win and 1 loss to her name. She put up a good fight in what is only her second time stepping into the ring. She will have to recover quickly though, as her next fight is in a couple of days against none other than Camila Mendes.
