Emma Watson vs Emilia Clarke

Emma:
(28, 5’6, 33:23 FCBA, VIXENs)

Emilia:
(33, 5’2, 9:11 FCBA, Belle’s Boxers)

BEFORE:
“I’m a little surprised we haven’t met before,” Emilia says with a smirk. “We’re not that far off in terms of age, and who doesn’t want to see the Mother of Dragons beat down Hermione Granger?”

Emilia is of course drawing laughter from reporters at the press hall backstage, 24 hours before their officially scheduled fight.

“Emma might be the former Flyweight champion, but I still don’t see what the hype is to this day. I’m glad that a fellow Brit managed to take the American crown but don’t get me wrong, I think the little she-devil must have cast a spell on her opponents or something to get them to go down. We won’t be having that problem tonight though - I’m fully immune to her wiley charms.”

Half the time, one can’t tell if Clarke is being serious, witty or downright crazy, but I guess that’s part of her charm, ain’t it? If Emma Watson is finding her words funny, however, the fellow Brit ain’t showing it, caught narrowing her eyebrows at Clarke from across the table, then biting back moments later:

“You know, I honestly don’t understand half the things out of that potty-mouth of Emilia’s. If she wants to banter the entire night, I’m sure she’d win that fight. But if she wants to actually trade punches in a few hours, there’s no doubt in my mind who the better fighter will be. If this is the superfight fans have been clamouring to see, I’m sorry to say they are about to be disappointed: we all know which franchise is superior.”

Both ladies meet in the center stage for the official staredown, and while both of them belong to the same division, it’s curious to see Emma towering over the shorter Emilia, the Harry Potter starlet sporting a four-inch height advantage over her counterpart. Clarke of course is sporting more bulk in her frame, will be looking to utilise her power to upset the former champ in the fight.

We’re back in the ring, where both girls are listening to the referee drone on about the rules. Emma’s dressed in hot pink sports bra, white boxing shorts and black gloves, whilst Emilia’s going for a dark blue top, black trunks and red gloves. HERE we go with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Lots of excitement at the start of this fight but unfortunately, not much corresponding action. Whaddaya expect from a pair of Brits who love to wait in line too much? Girls circle each other for the majority, occasionally poking jabs out of their guards as they test each other’s waters early. Emma however squeezes out a lead with her superior reach and height, scoring more frequent jabs on Emilia’s frame than receiving. Clarke needs to do more down the line to get over this disadvantage, but for now, she’s forced to take the occasional blow to her face, Watson repeatedly exploiting the holes in her defences from a distance.

ROUND 2:
Clarke moving in with more aggression, perhaps at the urging of her own corner - she knows she needs to get in close to exact punishment on Emma’s tall frame. She surprises Emma with short bursts of speed, absorbing jabs to her face but at the end of the day swinging more devastating hooks to the younger woman’s body and arms, stunning Watson back with grunts. This is what the fans have paid to see, and the crowd lets out a roar Clarke momentarily traps Emma’s back to the ropes with another mad blitz of hands flung forward, shots landing on the actress’ torso before the Harry Potter starlet manages to skirt away down the line of the ropes. Watson is forced to move faster as a result, keeping Clarke away the rest of the round with persistent jabbing to her head, but it’s a lost cause for the Vixen to salvage this round.

ROUND 3:
Clarke’s got a winning formula now, the actress turning up the pressure on her counterpart by moving at Watson in a straight and fast line, pestering her with jabs to the head before letting loose with tight crosses aimed at her midsection, using Watson’s hesitancy to score off her body and chest before she gets a chance to retaliate. By contrast, Emma’s light jabbing at her foe’s head isn’t as effective, especially at scaring Emilia away - the Vixen lets out another shout of pain as she’s folded over with an invasive cross into her belly, stumbles away and covers up as Emilia follows with more rapid jabs sent towards her head. The former champ’s in trouble early as she struggles to adapt here till the bell saves her from going down.

ROUND 4:
Watson’s corner looking concerned as well as the challenger continues to have her way with their girl, while Watson’s solution is to keep the f*ck away. Emilia smirking and pushing inwards with greater tenacity, hoping to score an upset as she tags Emma with another overhand right to the forehead, pushing her back with surprise. Clarke scoots in once more, targeting that vulnerable tummy, but Emma surprises everyone by holding her ground all of a sudden, returning fire with a hook dashing Emilia across the face! Emilia lets out a shout, barely brings up her guard to absorb the blow in time. The two girls unload on each other for a good thirty seconds, taking and dishing out punishment in tandem, their mutual determination on display! If Emilia was expecting a pushover in the taller Brit, she’s sadly mistaken, however, as Emma weaves to avoid another flying hook aimed at her face, slips in instead to bash an uppercut into the base of her chin! Ouch! Emilia knocked backwards this time, the two girls resuming their dance from a distance until the bell.

ROUND 5:
Plenty of action so far but Watson’s fans delighted to see their girl mount a comeback: Emma falls back on her excellent counter-punching skills, blocking and weaving around Emilia’s hooks and then stunning her fellow Brit back to the face, a left hand bunching up the cheek here, another swipe across the face there. Emilia left perplexed and breathing hard come the second and third minute, having to block more shots now that the tables have been turned. Clarke can swing all she want, but if her opponent’s gonna avoid a good majority of her punches, what’s the point? Another slugfest occurs in the final seconds of the fifth - Clarke’s turn to hold her ground and try to squeeze in as many blows as she can into Watson’s body and arms, but ultimately, we’re gonna give this round to Emma for sheer number of punches landed.

ROUND 6:
One thing’s for sure by this point: Emilia’s looking gassed. Clarke having expended most of her energy earlier in an attempt to score an early knockdown, now has to contend with Watson circling in for the kill. Emma pesters her with renewed vigour, her jabs sent in fast and steady, tagging the shorter woman on her face and chest without much danger received in turn. Clarke pushed backwards slowly, but for the most part, appears to be keeping her face hidden well. That is, until she takes a particularly nasty thump to the nose from a looping left, making her throw her arms up in pain. Emma switches immediately to her exposed tummy, thundering fists in with wicked combos, before she ends with a hard SWIPE across Clarke’s face! AND DOWN EMILIA GOES!! She gets felled by the power of the taller fighter, Emma having stepped in and put all her strength into that one blasting hook! Clarke sent down onto her chest, barely able to raise her head even as the referee’s count thunders above… he hits the count of 10 and she’s still on all fours! The stadium ROARS as one franchise reigns supreme tonight!

Official Decision: Emma Watson defeats Emilia Clarke via KO6!

AFTER:
Watson smiles as she holds up a glove to the audience, slowly making her way back to her corner whilst ignoring the boos of all the Game of Thrones fans trying to fight back the only way they can. Emma receives pats on the back, congratulatory hugs from her corner as she puts away a prolific counterpart and perhaps even a future rival in the ring tonight.

“Emilia just didn’t stack up,” Emma says later to reporters, a little out of breath. “She thought she had me, but she didn’t stack up in the end. Hell, Game of Thrones doesn’t stack up to Harry Potter, and that’s a fact!”

Emma laughs as the boos and jeers once again resonate throughout the stadium. Clarke on the other hand is too busy recuperating on her stool to try and mount a defense of her beloved television show. The Mother of Dragons may have made the recent move over to her new stable, but she still has room to grow if she wants to take this world by storm.
