Melissa Villaseñor

(32 / 5’2” / 0:0 FCBA / The Comediennes)

Ashley Tisdale
(35 / 5'3" / 19:29 / Free Agent)

Results: Lookout! / Story: The Comediennes

Pre-Fight:

“First fight, I’ve definitely got some butterflies,” Melissa says. “Pressure is definitely on. Everyone else in the stable got off on a positive foot. I came in a little… softer than the other girls in the stable, but after a month of training and sparring with Elyse I think I’m ready to go.”

“This is EXACTLY what I needed,” says Ashley. “New girl. Fresh meat. I’ve been on quite a slump but it ends tonight. She doesn’t have what it takes to beat me. Simple.”

R1: With cotton blue shorts and gloves, Melissa wades out into the center of the ring. There she meets Ashley with her hot pink ensemble. A flash of pink leather shoots through the air and snaps Melissa’s head back. It’s not the first time she’s been hit, but the first time she’s been hit competitively and it shows. Ashley keeps her distance to see how Melissa reacts.

The free agent bounces around a bit when Melissa tries to throw a jab back, a bit too much. She’s getting too fancy trying to confuse Melissa. Her feet aren’t moving quite as fast as they used to and as Ashley dances, Melissa hardens. She lands a couple of jabs that take Ashley off guard.

Ashley’s eyes widen as her defense tightens up. Melissa keeps her distance, but is able to fire off a few more shots to push her opponent back onto her heels. As Ashley backs up she reacts more like a caged animal, throwing a wild right hook that Melissa ducks! Ashley is open for a right cross that bangs her on the chin. Melissa presses.

She lands a few more successful combos, nothing devastating but enough to establish her authority. Ashley ends the round with only a few grazing shots to Melissa, but at least she fights her way out of the corner.

The bell rings giving Melissa the round wide, 10-9.

R2: Melissa gets off to a hot start, which seems to be the way of it for the Comediennes. The girls meet in the middle of the ring. Stinging jabs and straights are traded with Melissa just barely getting the better of it. Ashley gives out squeals.

The new girl starts to get a little bolder. She throws a right hook that catches Ashley on the chin. She staggers back. Melissa presses. She starts throwing punches left and right as Tisdale defends. The veteran doesn’t let anything slip and even is able to snap a nice right-hand to Melissa’s nose before pulling her in for a clinch.

Ashley digs her chin into Melissa’s shoulder and holds on tight. The two throw some half-hearted taps to one another’s backs before being separated by the ref. Ashley takes the break to pop off a couple jabs that snake their way to Melissa’s nose. She’s now taken three shots there. Melissa finds herself getting brushed back now, but before Ashley can really dig in the bell rings.
Melissa takes the round close, now up 20-18.

R3: Ashley looks to continue the momentum she ended round two with, but Melissa does a good job of side-stepping anything heavy. Tisdale takes a breath, which allows Melissa to fire off a couple of left-hands into her ribs. Ashley eats them and presses forward.

Tisdale snaps a one-two combo that Melissa can’t defend in time before ducking a right hook. The former Disney Channel star then steps up and buries a right hand square to Melissa’s gut. The comedian coughs out in agony as she struggles with her first big shot. Ashley isn’t finished though.

As Melissa tries to punch her way out of trouble, Ahsley is more than willing to hang back and pick her moments. A jab here. A straight there. Another couple of quick jabs. All the while she dodges everything Melissa throws at her. The rookie is telegraphing everything and Ashley reads her like an open book.

After another wild swing by Melissa, Ashley steps up and fires a right cross that nails the chin. Melissa puts her guard up, but that allows Ashley to start working the body. Sinking uppercuts that rock Melissa all the way back in her corner. Ashley hits her with a left hook to the ribs then follows up with left hook to the cheek as the round ends.

Ashley takes that round wide. It’s 29-28 Villasenor.

R4: Tisdale feels the hesitancy coming from her opponent as the round starts. And when you’re hesitant in this ring you’re done for. Ashley does a good job blocking the timid punches and following up with her counter punches. She’s not into dodging anymore, she’s willing to eat a few shots if it means getting up close.

Ashley knows if she crowds Melissa the fight is over, and it’s exactly what she does. She gives Melissa no place to squeak out to and it’s open season for the free agent.

A beautiful right hook followed a left uppercut knocks Melissa square on her ass. Her mouth guard slips from her mouth as the ref rushes over. Tisdale is already celebrating with her hands up as she walks back to her corner. The ref gets to ten and Melissa isn’t even on the second rope yet.

Winner: Ashley Tisdale KO Round 4

Post-Fight:

“Remember what I said about her not being able to hang with me?” quips Ashley. “She had nothing come round three and I could see it in her eyes. The Comediennes really shouldn’t have pressed her into action. They need to go back to the drawing board with that one. Maybe give me a call… or a better stable maybe? I mean, I’m 1 win away from a winning streak!”

“Honestly I didn’t expect it to be that hard,” sighs Melissa. “I mean, I’ve improved so much over the last month. Really I have. But I guess I ran out of gas and ideas a bit there. Not quite in the shape I should be and I wasn’t prepared for shots like that one. She’s got quicker fists than I thought. But all I can do is try to be better next time.”
