Before:

Olsen and Ratajkowski make their way into the crowded press room, full of reporters looking forward to the press conference. The stakes are always high in the upper echelons of the FCBA and a big win could get a title opportunity, but on August 11, bantamweight champion Bella Thorne declared that the winner of this fight would be the number one contender and would face the champ for the bantamweight title in September. Neither girl has previously held a title – Emily’s only title opportunity was for the JMD title back in 2018 where she lost to – yes – Bella Thorne. A win here would earn her an opportunity to get revenge against Thorne and hoist a title. Elizabeth’s sole title chance came in 2014 for the bantamweight title, where she lost to Emily VanCamp. But right now, they’re only focused on beating the other girl, and Bella Thorne has explicitly stated that she wants to see blood on the beach from the fight.

Emily speaks first, “Well, I think we all know who the favored fighter is. We met last year, and as I recall, I put Lizzie out cold and stepped over her prone body as I exited the ring. It’s going to be the same tonight. I haven’t lost a fight yet this year and I am going to get my revenge against Bella.”

Elizabeth takes a deep breath before speaking, “Nothing lasts forever. If anything, that’s the one thing I’ve learned from my time in the FCBA. I spent over four years with one stable, became a free agent for two years, then found a new stable. Nothing is permanent. Just like your record this year. I am going to beat Emily. And then I am going to the get title that I’ve been looking for for the past eight years.”

Ratajkowski merely laughs, “See you on the ground again.”

Olsen gets up, says “We shall see,” and the Avenger storms off.

The crowd cheers as the number one contender match is announced. The announcer introduces Elizabeth Olsen first, the longtime fighter looking to accomplish what has eluded her across two stables and free agency. Olsen is accompanied by her stablemate Emily DiDonato on the way to the ring, and the Avenger takes off her robe to reveal a scarlet bikini with black gloves, her hair up in a bun for the fight. She talks to DiDonato as Emily Ratajkowski makes her entrance – the younger fighter donning a revealing navy triangle bikini and matching gloves, the younger brunette’s hair in a ponytail for the fight. The two girls step into the face of the other, with Olsen having to incline her head up to look at the taller brunette. The ref invites the two to touch gloves and they both shoot him a look that lets him know that they won’t oblige. They back off and off we go to determine the number one bantamweight contender!

Round 1:

The bell rings and Ratajkowski charges right at the smaller Olsen, quickly tagging the Avenger’s chin with two rights and a left body shot that leaves the older girl in full retreat. Emily quickly chases after Lizzie, baiting her with a right feint before unleashing a left to Olsen’s nose and Lizzie’s just covering up as Emily pounds her into the ropes! Tell Bella Thorne that Emily Ratajkowski isn’t playing around, she’s whipping rights and lefts into Elizabeth Olsen’s guard, trying to break through and end this in the first round! Olsen keeping her guard up, struggling to find an opportunity to clinch or counter until Emily fires off a right that slips off of Elizabeth’s guard and ends up with the younger girl lunging in slightly. Olsen sees her opportunity and drives two short jabs into Emily’s jaw to escape the ropes, keeping her distance and forcing Emily to chase after her. Ratajkowski does land a pair of blows on the smaller bantam, but Olsen makes sure the blows aren’t clean or uncontested before the bell rings. Emily Ratajkowski came out with a purpose in the first, winning it on points, wide, as Olsen’s chest is already heaving and she’s shaking her head, while Ratajkowski is getting compliments from her corner.

Round 2:

Emily starts the second by going right after Elizabeth again, but the Avenger is ready for the younger actress this time, being sure to dig a right into Emily’s ribs after Ratajkowski slams a left into Olsen’s guard. Emily quickly responds with a right to Lizzie’s head, knocking Olsen backwards, and Ratajkowski advances. The VIX girl quickly returns the body blow the Fates girl dealt her earlier, and Olsen winces slightly as the blow connects with her midriff. Emily takes two steps forward, slinging two big punches at Liz’s head, but the Avenger ducks out of the way and drives a cross into Emily’s jaw and the VIX girl is wobbly! Ratajkowski staggers backwards and shoots out a right as she sees Olsen advancing, but Olsen shifts her head out of the way so the blow barely glances her, and she shoots out two vicious hooks before connecting with an uppercut that drops Emily to the sand as Olsen flips the switch! Lizzie retreats to the corner as the ref counts over a prone and stirring Emily as the crowd erupts from the turn of events. One. Two. Ratajkowski lifts up her head to see the official at three. Emily gets her arms underneath her at four, and gets to all fours at five. At six, Emily picks up a foot and she wobbles! But she quickly gets it back under her and forces herself up at eight, and immediately starts moving towards Olsen. The ref briefly gets in front of her just to make sure she’s alright, and quickly backs off. Lizzie steps forward and Emily catches her with a solid right jab that reminds her she’s the smaller fighter, and the Avenger changes tactics to bait overextensions from Emily. The bell rings as Emily sparingly went after Elizabeth in the waning seconds, not wanting to open herself up to a counter after a somewhat surprising knockdown out of nowhere from Olsen. It’s a wide round for Olsen after taking a beating in the first – Bella Thorne may well get her wish of seeing blood on the beach in this number one contender fight.

Round 3:

Olsen is now the girl who goes right after her opponent, wasting little time in baiting Ratajkowski with a left before closing the distance and throwing a right jab, popping the younger brunette in her mouth. Emily recoils slightly before retreating and planting her feet to smash a right through Olsen’s gloves and backing the A-lister back off. Ratajkowski follows carefully, gloves up, testing Olsen’s guard with tight, crisp jabs that harmlessly bounce off the smaller actress’ gloves, but Emily’s reach advantage is just enough for Lizzie to not be able to jab back effectively. Elizabeth starts to move to her right, trying to get in striking distance of Emily and tags her with a solid right, but quickly gets a right slammed back into her from Emily. Ratajkowski quickly fires off a left follow-up that hits Olsen, but not solidly, and the Avenger gets in a pair of body shots before the two girls briefly grapple in close quarters, each girl wrapping her opponent up as the bell rings and the ref steps in. Ratajkowski bounces back from an early knockdown, edging out Olsen for the round.

Round 4:

The brunette actresses both get out of their corners and start circling each other and Emily again looks to take advantage of her reach advantage, bashing Lizzie in her nose early and snapping Olsen’s head backwards. Ratajkowski charges after Olsen and splits the Avenger’s guard with a right that opens Lizzie up for another left to the nose and a trickle of blood makes its way out of her nose. The blood drips onto Olsen’s bikini top as she drops backwards while Ratajkowski pursues, a wild look in her eyes. Emily steps up and digs a right into Lizzie’s flank, and Emily’s head snaps backwards as Olsen drives a short left into Ratajkowski’s face, briefly stunning the VIX girl with a blank look on her face and Lizzie pounces, hammering home two more blows before Emily gets her guard back up. The blood drips off of Olsen’s nose onto her jugs, but the Fates girl doesn’t seem to notice as she quickly drives Emily backwards with short blows to her ribs and pounding her into the ropes as the bell rings. Emily started the round off strong, but Elizabeth didn’t give up and came back to take the round, close.

Round 5:

The cat and mouse game continues into the fifth as Emily again looks to abuse her reach over Lizzie and just wear down the Avenger with repeated jabs over time. Olsen smartly covering up, not trying to compete with Ratajkowski’s range as the younger girl chases her around the ring, occasionally getting hit back with a right from Lizzie when she gets too close. But Emily still gets Elizabeth backed up into a corner and launches a straight right at Liz but Olsen blocks Ratajkowski’s blow and quickly counters with a right to Emily’s mouth, knocking Emily back a step. The bigger girl quickly plants her feet and fires another punch at Olsen but this time she misses, and Elizabeth goes for a right hook that gets all of Emily’s jaw! Ratajkowski is stumbling backwards as on comes Olsen who is just unloading lefts and rights into Ratajkowski’s ribs and the younger brunette winces with each blow driven into her body as Olsen works her backwards and eventually into the ropes. Emily bounces off the ropes and sticks Lizzie with a left and sets up for a right but gets smoked as Olsen swivels Emily’s head with a right hook that buckles her knees, but Emily stays up! Ratajkowski has her gloves up but Olsen shatters her guard with a one-two combo and follows up with a right uppercut that drops Emily to the sand in a heap! Olsen gets out of the ref’s way as he begins to count again, but this time, Emily’s barely moving on the beach. Ratajkowski takes a glance up as the ref hits six and she tries to get her limbs underneath her, but the second knockdown is too much as her eyes are blank as the ref gets to ten! Your winner by KO5 and the NUMBER ONE CONTENDER, ELIZABETH OLSEN!

After:

Olsen is jumping with joy as her stablemate Emily DiDonato surges into the ring to hug the actress as Olsen gets the second title shot of her career after over 50 fights. Lizzie gets out of Emily’s arms and mounts the ringpost, beaming at the crowd. After a mediocre 6-7 record in 2019 – with a subpar 4-7 conventional record – Olsen is 6-2 in 2020 and will be squaring off against Bella Thorne in September for the bantamweight title. As Elizabeth celebrates, The VIX staff quickly heads over to Ratajkowski, who’s still in a pile on the ground, mumbling, “I lost?” Emily’s tended to by the medical staff, gradually helping her regain awareness of her surroundings and eventually back to her feet and out of the ring.

For Emily, it’s a crushing loss as not only does Elizabeth Olsen tie up her record against Ratajkowski, but Emily also loses her chance to get a rematch against Bella Thorne for the time being. Only time will tell if she is able to get back into the title picture and get back in the ring against Bella.

For Elizabeth, it’s an exhilarating win, and she shows it in her postfight interview. “Well, it’s been a long time since I’ve punched my ticket to one of these,” Olsen excitedly tells the press afterwards, “I was with Ginny last time, then I became a free agent for two years before Fates signed me. It’s been a long journey. Now, I know Bella’s bigger and has been wildly successful and that I’m going in the underdog. Well,” Olsen pauses, taking a big breath as she’s still breathing heavily from her fight, “I’ve still got something left in me. I know Tess Valmore doesn’t think I can win – heck, Tess thinks that anyone who has been canned – Tess, that’s with two “n’s” – one “n” is caned – by Ginny should not get another chance. Well, I think I proved tonight that I’m not going anywhere. I’m an eight year veteran of the FCBA with over 50 fights to my name. Taylor Swift has reigned. Emily DiDonato has reigned. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley may reign later tonight. Fates has had success at lightweight. But we’re in all four weight divisions. And I’m going to get our first title outside of lightweight.”

With that, an Elizabeth Olsen who is as focused as she has seemed over the past five years walks out of the press, with her goal clearly in everyone’s mind. Win the title.
