Tyra Banks is at the podium

“Charlize and I fought three times, all in 1999. My first fight was against her. She won that fight by a decision. Our second fight was a draw even though she was saved by the bell three times. The third time she got lucky and KOed me. Then I came into my own in 2001 and started winning titles. Never heard anything from her. She never challenged for a title fight. I have no idea why. She was always up for a title fight. I guess she was just scared. We finally meet again tonight. When I learned this was going to be her 400th fight, I called her and congratulated her on almost unbelievable achievement. I told her that it was hard to believe, after having her mouth punched, lips cut, eyes blackened and nose bleeds that she was still a classic Hollywood beauty, and now a big time action star. She was very gracious and thanked me for the compliments. Then, I told her that it was my duty to punch her out in our fight and that was what I was going to do. You know what she said? She said “well then, bring it on” That’s what I am going to do”

As usual Charlize refuses the mic, just giving a friendly wave to Tyra

THE FIGHT

Banks enters the ring wearing a multi-colored bikini and red gloves, Her hair is falling to her shoulders. Theron is in her usual cream bikini, cream gloves, hair in corn rows and is barefooted

Round 1 The two meet in the center and touch gloves. Theron has a smile on her face. Banks wants to wipe that smile off. They circle, watching for an opening. Banks makes the first move with a right jab to the face. She follows up with another and another driving Theron back. Charlize pounds a right cross to Banks’ head. Tyra shakes it off and goes inside. She wants to fight close in, keeping her head down so Charlize can’t get leverage behind uppercuts. She working Theron’s body, sharp left and right hooks landing cleanly. The big blonde lands a right cross, but once again Banks shakes it off and goes back to the body. She hears grunts from her opponent, Music to her ears. She continues pounding away at the body, her head at Charlize’s chest as she drives Theron into the ropes. Charlize has to get off the ropes A Theron over-hand right goes astray and Banks goes upstairs Right hook, left hook, and another then straight punches slam into Theron’s chest. Tyra feels the blonde weakening. Theron seems to have no defense. She is just taking. Starting to look groggy. Finally Charlize manages to push Banks back and gets off the ropes. Banks goes after her and lands a overhand right to the face sending the blonde staggering Charlize desperately raises her guard, giving up her body to protect her face. Bruises are appearing on Theron’s torso as Banks pounds away until the bell rings. Theron looks shabby, breathing hard, on her way to the corner where she gets lecture form Lawrence.

Round 2 Banks out fast again. She is going to take it to the blonde. She fakes a right cross. Charlize bites and Banks drives another right into Theron’s body. She’s inside Theron’s guard and continues to pound the body. Theron tries to push her away and Banks right uppercut cuts between the two arms and lands on Theron’s chin. There’s a little shimmy in Theron’s legs, but she fights back. A right hook land cleanly on Banks chin stopping her. Theron is following up with right and left hooks to the body and then moving up to the chin. She’s catching Banks cleanly, but Banks is not going to put up with it. She lands another left to Therons bruised body and moves up to Theron’s chest punching way with short punches. The color drains from the Goddess’s face as her chest is abused. Theron drops her guard to protect her chest and Banks lands a right to the jaw. Theron is staggering again. Banks is on her, Charlize stops her with a right to the ear. They are now toe to toe. Hooks and crosses land to the body and the chin. Banks seems the fresher of the two. Her punches have more steam behind them. Theron seems to be breaking down and she frantically breaks it off as the bell rings. Lawrence, the welter champ, is waiting for Charlize, concern on her face.

Round 3 Both are a little slower coming out of the corner. Banks knows she has the best of it thus far. Theron looks like she’s hurting. Banks steps in with a right cross to the jaw, then a left upper cut knock Charlize back a few steps but the Goddess is not out of ammunition Theron responds with a right hook to the jaw and a left cross to the head. They are back toe to toe. That’s where Banks wants to work. Bodies are plundered, breast's banged, heads toggled. This time its Banks who is taking the most punishment. Surprisingly Charlize is getting the best of it Banks moves back and as Theron closes, Banks drills a right between the eyes. Theron’s hurt as she reels away. Banks follows, but she is at a distance where Charlize’s power comes into play and she steps into a straight right from the big blonde. Banks drops back into the ropes and Charlize is on her. Rights and lefts Criss cross Banks head. In desperation she throws two hard missiles at nowhere in particular. They land flush on Charlize's’ breasts. Theron is stopped in her tracks. Now Banks takes over punching Theron back into the ropes. Banks hesitates closing in on a hurting Theron. The slight delay cost her as Theron perfectly times a straight left that lands on Banks jaw. Banks staggers away and Theron is the pursuer now. She lands a couple hard blows to Banks head as the round ends

Round 4 Theron thinks she getting second wind and she is ready when the bell rings. She moves to the center of the ring and waits for Banks to make a move. Banks wants to go back to the body, but three quick jabs to her face indicates she not going to make it. As Banks backs off, Theron follows her keeping the pressure on. Banks decides she want to punch and once again manages to get inside the blonde’s guard. The two are in the center of the ring once again bodies are harmed, beautiful faces bruised. It’s a short exchange as Charlize is out-punching Tyra. Banks has to break it off. She can’t match Charlize in the center of the ring. She needs to get Theron on the ropes. Theron is not cooperating. Banks unleashes a wide right cross sails past Theron’s chin. Theron has the opening she was looking for and drives a right and left into Banks bra. Banks is stopped, just looking blankly at the blonde. Charlize now concentrates on Banks chest, She rips punch after punch driving Banks into the ropes. Banks trys to back Theron off, but Theron hangs in working face and chest. Up and down, up and down. Banks is in trouble. She can’t get off the ropes, and the punishment is adding up. The sounding bell comes to her aid’

R5 Theron is upbeat in her corner and is quickly out. Banks is still hurting from the previous round. She wants to stay at long range, but that puts her in Theron’s power alley. She knows that the advantage of fighting inside is now favoring the Charlize. Theron is pressuring, slowly cutting off the ring She has Banks close to a corner and steps in with a quick right-left to the head. Banks puts out a weak jab. Theron slaps it away and goes back to punching Banks face. Banks get her hands up protecting her face and leaves her body open. Theron pounds a right and left to the breasts and then back up to play chin music. Banks’ guard has fallen apart as Charlize pounds away at will. The crowd is starting to call for the fight to be stopped. Theron isn’t ready as slams a right into the solar plexus. Banks starts to double over, but Theron lifts her up and throws another vicious right to the solar plexus. Ringsiders are on their feet yelling for the bout to be stopped. Theron pushes her left glove into Banks’ face and rams another right into the belly button. She sees the referee coming in., She’s in a KO rage. Mercy doesn’t cross her mind and rips a savage uppercut to Tyra’s chin and steps back letting her opponent crash to the canvas face down

AFTER

Theron walks over to where Banks is being brought around and stands watching. She helps getting Tyra to her feet and give her a hug and then heads back to her corner and the dressing room. The press is quite critical of Charlize for the way she ended the fight. The last punches they say were uncalled for, but they haven’t been in the heat of an FCBA battle where emotion sometimes over rides propriety. Lawrence and Robbie have already decided to have a serious talk with the GOAT. They know fighters have scores to settle with the Goddess or Theron with other fighters, but she has to cool it down so she or other fighters don’t get seriously hurt.

In a short press conference, Charlize addresses the room of reporters as champaign is passed around “Look I know I have been severely criticized for uncalled punches recently and for that I apologize. I have already sent note of apologies to my opponents. When this push to get to 400 was suggested, I was for it. That was a mistake. We made a schedule and then it was changed and I ended up with twelve bouts in three months. I am not 22 any more. I shouldn’t have agreed to that kind of schedule. After every one of those bouts, I was tired and beat up. I knew I would be in trouble if the bout went nine or ten, so when I had my opponent hurt, I had to make sure she wasn’t going to get up. That’s not an excuse, it’s just the way things were. Now that the drive to 400 is over I’m getting back to a more reasonable schedule. I’m booked for the rest of the year with more bouts than I would like, but no more three or four bouts a month. Frankly your criticisms were justified even though I didn’t enjoy reading them. Now I got almost four weeks off. I’m going to chill for two weeks and then get ready for the PPV. Thank you for hanging around and listening”
