JENNA COLEMAN VS HAYDEN PANETTIERE

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Hayden: 31 YO, 5’1 ½ (1.55 m), 74-39-1, 57 KO since 2006, Foxfire Boxing

Jenna: 34 YO, 5’2 (1.57 m), FCBA: 35-8-1, 32 KO since 2013, Global Boxing Syndicate

Before: “It’s bugged me for a long time. Jenna knocked me out in 8. I don’t like leaving a loss to someone else unanswered,” Hayden says frankly. “So I am back at her again and I determined that this time she’ll be the one going down and out.”

Jenna Coleman shrugs: “You shouldn’t take losses so seriously, Hayden, it will mess up your mind. Of course, I’ve only had 8 losses, so it’s just not that big a deal to me. What IS a big deal is the chance to go 2-0 against a former Flyweight Champion and a Hall of Famer. I am really looking forward to that happening,”

‘Then prepare to be disappointed,” Hayden snaps.

“Arrogant twit,” Jenna mutters.

“What did you call me?” Hayden demands.

“An ‘arrogant twit’, “ Jenna replies coolly.

“That’s what I thought. Just remember that this ‘twit’ is the woman who beat your arrogant arse!” Hayden retored.

Things were getting unexpectedly heated. FCBA Security scrambled to get into position to intervene, but Hayden and Jenna contented themselves with frosty looks before departing the stage. (Some groans in the attendees of the press event).

Hayden enters ring in a light purple string bikini with dark purple gloves and boots, Hair pulled into a top knot on her head, Jenna enters in a black and gray faux lingerie string bikini with gray gloves and boots. Bobbed hair loose but wetted down.

Ring instructions are covered briskly. Cold looks between the two women, but nothing more. Quick tap of the gloves and they are back to their corners. The bell rings.

R1: Both fighters move smoothly from their corners and go to the center of the ring. Quick flashing head shots as the two maneuver around each other. Jenna getting the better of the exchange as she clips Hayden to the chin. Hayden pulls back, regroups and moves back in, she starts banging at Jenna to the body. Jenna replies in kind and the two work over each other to the ribs, stomach and breasts. Staying even until Jenna suddenly smacks Hayden with uppercut to the chin. Hayden’s head snapped back and she totters back. Jenna adds hooks to the belly and some straight shots to Hayden’s chest. Hayden rallies late behind her jab to stop the attack, but Jenna has accomplished enough to win the round by a narrow margin.

R2: Hayden attacking swiftly as the new round begins. Pounding attack to Jenna’s ribs and stomach, then expands to working over the Brit’s knockers. Jenna trying to lash back with body punches of her own, but Hayden is bouncing around elusively. Late in the round, Hayden now goes for Jenna to the head. Punches smack Jenna hard to the jaw, clip her to the chin, and bounce off the side of her head. Jenna falling back in a hunched up defensive posture and her mitts up around her head. Bell sounds and Hayden Panettiere books this round wide.

R3: Jenna much quicker out of her corner this time and she goes right at Hayden to the body. Hayden struck with deep hooks to the midsection, but the blonde fires back with hooks of her own. Now they are go at it at point-blank range. Firing in those short rights an lefts to pound ribs, stomach and finally juggs. Tough grinding battle of attrition where neither wants to give ground. Then Jenna gets seems to get extra into her belly busters and Hayden falls back several steps with a gurgling gasp. Jenna adds a nice smashing right to the jaw to swivel Hayden’s head and put a shiver down her legs. Hayden hangs in, but Jenna outpunching her as the round end. Jenna emerges victorious with a close win in a hard fought round.

R4: They go right back at it as the 4th Round begins. They are at center ring and hammering away at each so close that their sweating foreheads nearly touch at times. Elbows moving in and out like pistons as they wetly smite the sweat coated torsos of each other. Jenna began working Hayden’s aching stomach with fresh hooks. Hayden hits back, but can’t get Jenna to move back. Jenna again strikes high late in the round, this time sneaking in a right uppercut to lift Hayden’s chin. Hayden put back on her heels and struggles to regroup as Jenna pounds away at her head and shoulders to finish up. Jenna again emerges the narrow winner of a hard-fought round.

R5: Hayden and Jenna go at up close and personal for a third round. Once more they are at the enter of the ring and firing away to the body. Jenna trying more jugg mugging this time as she brings mean uppercuts into the undersides of Hayden’s bra cups. Hayden responds with vengeful straight rights and lefts that crush Jenna’s knockers against her ribcage. This proves to have the added result of knocking the air out of Jenna’s lungs. Jenna soon gasping for air as Hayden just keeps hammering jugg, though she does add some hooks to the belly to add to Jenna’s discomfort. Jenna finally has to retreat to get air to her aching lungs. Hayden advances smartly with more hooks to the belly, though Jenna able to use jab to smack Hayden in the face sufficiently to stall her attack at the bell. Yet another hard fought round, but this time the narrow win goes to Hayden Panettiere.

R6: Jenna and Hayden continue the torso torment for the fourth straight stanza. They do seem to moving a bit stiffer as they set on the familiar center ring battleground. Once the punches start to strike off, the intensity of the action goes back to a high level as the two fighters seem determined to prove one of them is the toughest body breaker. Ringsiders can now hear the involuntarily gasps, groans and gurgles as hard-driven leather meets bruised, sweat covered flesh. Jenna concentrating on Hayden’s belly and she is tipping the blonde forward as the round rages on. Hayden slowly driven back, each new blow from Jenna causes her to gasp and shudder. Yet Hayden stubbornly unwilling to pull back out of range. Bell rings. Jenna steps back and observes a shuddering, sweat dripping Hayden, her top knot is coming undone and tendrils of hair are drooping down onto her face. Jenna smiles with weary satisfaction, but Hayden’s eyes burn with defiance before referee reminds them to go to their corners. Jenna Coleman gets a narrow win.

R7: Urgent consultation in Foxfire corner as Head Trainer Virginia Madsen seems to be advising Hayden that it is time for a new approach. Hayden leaning back on her stool to ease the ache in her midsection nods. Meanwhile Jenna is being urged to “finish the job”. Bell rings and the two fighter move out. However, Hayden is moving much faster than Jenna and as she closes in, she makes a feint with her left towards the familiar target of Jenna’s abs. This gets Jenna’s attention and allows Hayden to bring a crashing right into Jenna’s unsuspecting jaw. Jenna’s head whipped around and Hayden then clouts her to the jaw with a left. Jenna is reeling and Hayden adds a vicious right uppercut to the chin. Jenna’s legs are suddenly turned to rubber. Jenna covering her head, but now Hayden goes to the body with her hook. Jenna doubled up and driven into the ropes. It’ all Jenna can do to remain seated on the ropes, gloves in face, and give up her body to Hayden’s leather. Hayden using Jenna’s tormented torso like a heavy bag. Looks like she’s trying to get Jenna’s legs to give way, but though they bend, they do not collapse. Bell rings and now Hayden gets the satisfaction of seeing a blasted Jenna Coleman peel herself off the ropes and move slowly towards her corner. Judges call this a shutout for Hayden Panttiere, all the more shocking considering the closeness of nearly all the earlier rounds.

R8: Intense discussion in GBS corner during the break. Could Jenna be throwing in towel? If this is what she’s being told to do, she looks to be angrily refusing the proposal, Hayden and Virginia Madsen can see the agitation and Hayden whispers: “She won’t quit. Coleman’s not that kind of fighter. I sure wouldn’t.” Indeed, when the bell rings, Jenna Coleman comes out, though slowly and very stiffly. Hayden Panettiere moves in on Jenna warily and fires off some testing punches to the body. Jenna responds sluggishly. She is trying to jab, but these lack power and good direction. Hayden keeps working Jenna to the abs, but Jenna’s chin. Blow seems to freeze Jenna and instantly Hayden brings in rights/lefts to the jaw that swivel Jenna’s head from one side to the other. Jenna’s legs fold up and she heads for the canvas, but Hayden smashes in one last right uppercut to the chin. Jenna’s head snaps back, her feet leave the canvas and DOWN SHE CRASHES ON HER BACK! Jenna Coleman, arms and legs out flung, is starfished on the canvas. Hayden trots to the neutral corner. Referee moves in, Jenna slowly stirring as the counting begins, she tries to pull herself up, but falls back unable to get her body to cooperate.

“SEVEN!...EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!” Cries the referee.

THE WINNER HAYDEN PANETTIERE DEFEATS JENNA COLEMAN KO8

After: “I told her I would beat her arrogant arse and I did,” a weary but triumphant Hayden Panettiere tells the press after he fight. “That makes us 1-1. I wonder if she wants to go for a rubber match. Once she’s recovered from this one, of course.”

No direct comment from Jenna Coleman tonight, but sources say: “Jenna was really disappointed in herself. That 7th Round turned the fight completely around. Jenna admits she was careless and paid the price. A third fight? We’re not making any decisions until we feel Jenna is fully recovered, but Jenna’s not likely to let their record stand at 1-1 for long.”

Very good fight between two tough small flyweights. Those body punching rounds were exciting to watch, but when Hayden suddenly changed tactics in the 7th, the roof fell in on Jenna. Goes to show even a veteran can make mistakes that another veteran can seize upon. Good win for Hayden who now has 3 victories in a row and is 4-2 for 2020. Jenna Coleman slips to 1-2 in FCBA action this year. Fans looking to see if Hayden can build on these wins to finish the year strong and if Jenna can come back to go .500 at year’s end.
