DANIELLE CAMPBELL VS MICHELLE WILLIAMS

Danielle: 25 YO, 5’3 (1.60 m), 25-14-0, 25 KO since 2014, Pretty Little Punchers

Michelle: 40 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), 150-71-7, 111 KO since 1999, Hawkeye International

Before: “It’s one of the joys of this phase of my career than I can still whup the butts of kids (relatively speaking) like DC Campbell here. I always enjoy the opportunity to pound s reality check into Foxfire’s JV Squad—the Punchers. It’s not quite as rewarding as reducing a Foxy to a quivering pile on the canvas, but still an entertaining evening.”

Danielle Campbell rolling her eyes and scowling during Mishy’s extended trash talking remarks finally gets her chance to speak.

“I would go over there and slap Michelle’s face, but I wouldn’t like to be accused of elder abuse. This will be my first fight with her and all I say is that it will be a pleasure to pound so respect into her. The Punchers are no one’s ‘JV team’ and you are going to learn that the hard way.” An angry DC declares.

Michelle just smirks at the younger woman’s agitation: “I have heard that line from lots of girls who ended up drooling into the canvas at the end of our fight. Don’t be surprised if it happens to you.”

“Don’t you be surprised if I knock your dentures into the last row!” snaps Dani.

Now it’s Michelle’s turn to roll her eyes: “You really need to work on your trash talk, kid, I am not impressed.”

“You will be!” Dani declares hotly.

The ill-will remains strong as the two fighters meet in the ring on Fight Night. Danielle is in a blue and white striped bikini with blue gloves and boots (white laces). Her hair is in ponytail. Michelle in ivory lacy faux lingerie bikini with black gloves and boots (white laces). Mish’ short blonde hair loose and wetted down.

Dani looking impatient during the ring instructions. Mish giving her a disdainful look throughout the proceedings. The instructions are covered. There is a quick tap of the gloves and the fighters are back in their corners. Mish looking cool and collected. Dani banging her gloves together and finally the bell rings…

R1: Dani goes right at Michelle as soon as the bell rings and peppers the blonde veteran with hard blows to the rack, ribs and then the jaw. Michelle jabs back to DC’s rack and adds a uppercut of her own to clip Dani’s chin. Dani swings and then smashes Michelle to the head with a powerful right. Michelle sent lurching to one side, covering her head as Danielle slams leather into her right flank ribs. Mish twisting away her face grimacing as Dani hammers away to the bell. Mish heads to her corner nursing a set of fresh and throbbing bruises while DC has the pleasure of winning the opening round.

R2: Danielle coming right back at Michelle, driving hooks into the blonde’s body, but Mish takes the challenge and stands her ground. They exchange hooks to the belly and rib cage. Then the action shifts to some jugg busting shots—straight rights and lefts into the bra cups. Dani trying to move to the side to go after Mish’s right flank, but then Mish fires a cracking left off the brunette’s jaw. Danielle looks dazed, covers up her face with her gloves and this gives Mish the chance to pound DC’s torso. Dani lashes back with the jab off Mish’s head to force the blonde back, but the rounds draws to a close. The judges give it to Michelle Williams by a narrow margin.

R3: Both fighters out quickly, but Dani Campbell has a step or two on Michelle Williams and uses to crack a rick off Mish’s chin. Then a left uppercut to the chin and Mish is falling back in some disorder. DC happy to take advantage with a barrage of punches to the body and she is careful to continue to work Mish’s right side. Michelle trying to keep her right away from Dai’s mitts, but this is allowing DC to strike at rib cage and belly. Mish counters with some rights and lefts to the body of her own, but then gets smacked hard with a right to the jaw. Mish finishing the round all hunched up and defensive. Round goes wide to Danielle Campbell.

R4: Michelle looking to be more aggressive this round. She manages to get out first and go after Dani to the head. Right hand bounces off the Campbell cranium, but Dani replies with a stuffing right hook to the belly the doubles the blonde up with a loud gasp. Dani quickly adds a left to the belly and then another right. Michelle doubled up, trying to backpedal when DC brings blockbuster right uppercut that starts down around her ankles and then shoots up to connect with Michelle’s chin. BAM! Michelle’s head snaps back and THEN MISH COLLAPSES TO THE CANVAS! Mish is sprawled on her face arms down at her side and Danielle has a big grin as she goes to the neutral corner. Referee starts counting. Michelle seems to have been revived by the impact with the canvas. She makes it to all fours, then moves to a crouching position and then rises fully to her feet as the referee cries: “EIGHT!”

Michelle steadies herself and looks over referee’s shoulder to give Danielle a look of defiance. Referee waves Dani back in, but then Mish charges passed him to counterattack the brunette. This sets off a head swiveling exchange of right and left shots to the jaw. Both fighters put back on their heels but then lurch forward to go after each other to the chin. Blows land almost simultaneously and both chins hit hard. Mish and DC again back on their heels, but then times runs out. They both look more than a little unsteady getting back to their corners. However that knockdown has won the round for Dani.

R5: HISC and PLP corner people kept busy reviving their dazed fighters during the break. Both look a bit slow coming out and they look wary in approaching one another. Then Dani moves forward and goes after Mish’s right side ribs once again. Mish turns away and clouts Dani in the breasts. That gets DCs attention and very quickly this turns into a toe to toe body battle. Dani pouring on the punches as the roasts Mish to the ribs and belly. Mish giving it right back to DC’s ribs and belly. They pound away with grim determination. Then Dani does a left sidestep and dries both gloved fists into Mish’s tormented side ribs. Michelle shudders and twists away, putting distance between herself and a pursuing DC. Mish using jab to stall Dani once the brunette catches up with her, but the round ends. Judges give it to Danielle Campbell—close.

R6: Dani encouraged by her attack on Michelle’s right side in the previous round so she goes right after Mish’s starboard flank at the bell. However Mish is circling away from Dani, then suddenly reversing course to keep DC off balance. Dani starts lunging to get at her elusive opponent and that is just what the wily veteran has been waiting for: she brings a sudden crashing right into Dani’s jaw. Dani all but knocked off her feet by the force of the blow, slams into the nearby ropes and desperately grabs at them for support. Mish now smashes rights and lefts to DC’s face and jaw. DOWN GOES DC CAMPBELL! Dani drops onto her back alongside the ropes, her face suddenly a swollen wreck and her body shuddering. Mish heads for the neutral corner. Dani grasping ropes to help pull herself up. She beats the count at “NINE!” Referee looks her over with concern, but allows the fight to resume. Mish with a wolfish smile on her lips closes in on the wobbly Dani and goes first to the belly with a volley of hooks. This pulls own DC;s guard and Michelle now brings her left /right punches crashing into jaw and cheekbone. Dani being driven along the ropes, but she can’t even seem to get her gloves up to protect her head which is being batted around alarmingly. THE REF JUMPS IN! Official cradles DC to safety as a grinning Michelle raises her right arm in victory.

THE WINNER: MICHELLE WILLIAMS DEFEATS DANIELLE CAMPBELL TKO6!

After: MIsh chats with press in the ring and keeps glancing over to the PLP corner where a Dani’s badly bruised and swollen face is being tended by her corner people. She is a sad sight, but one that Mish clearly savors.

“I think she thought she could wear me down in the early going and thought she had succeeded when she got that 4th Round knockdown. I’m tougher than that and I came back. Took me two rounds, but I beat her to a pulp and now she knows as far as she’s concerned: I’m her boss in the ring!”

Danielle Campbell, unsurprisingly, has no comments that night, but she does speak briefly to Archer News reporter Skip Tracey the next day: “How dare she claim to be the Boss of Me. She just beat me—that’s all—and if she thinks that proves her superiority—she could not be more wrong. She won I lost. End of story—for now. Just hope the old girl lasts long enough for a rematch some day.”

No word if Michelle or HISC are even interested in another go round with Danielle. This one was plenty exciting and showed the veteran Mish is not only tough, but tricky. Dani did look to be wearing Michelle down, but even the knockdown in the 4th didn’t really accomplish that. Michelle came off the canvas and found a way to beat Danielle into a stoppage in the 6th. Exciting fight. Mish looks as dangerous as ever, especially to younger fighters. Painful loss for Dani, but she should be able to come back from this setback soon. In the meantime, fans can savor the memory of a hard punching fight.
