BEFORE: Losing to former Miss Alabama Hannah Brown was bad enough Odette Yustman took four months off only to fall to the promising Dua Lipa and it's fair to wonder if her contender status will ever recover given her relative lack of success dating back to 2018. Meanwhile Christina Ochoa could feel herself honored to be a part of the monthly PPV, she's been dismissed as the Asylum cannon fodder with two quick defeats at the hands of Taylor Hill and Gemma Arterton before but she targets a genuine upset tonight and points out Odette is "damaged goods at this stage of her career". LCA trainer Eva Mendes channels her Latin temper and both women trade verbal barbs much to Odette's bemusement but it's really tough when girls with 0-2 record show you no respect and the California native has to show some urgency before her promising career tail-spins into the irrelevance abyss!

Round 1:
Odette is a fighter who usually reacts to her opponent's actions but she abandons that somewhat predictable tactics and tries to slug it with the Spanish foe which raises a few eyebrows around the area. Christina is happy to accept the slugging tactics and outworks the American in close range before she lands the biggest punch of the initial exchange and nails the fellow actress on the chin. She follows through with a right overhand on the nose and Yustman stumbles to her heels with a whimper as the Spanish girl tees off with more jabbing menace. She backs Odette onto the ropes almost too easily but maybe the Lioness brunette is truly damaged goods these days as she struggles to embrace a hectic drive that allows Ochoa to dominate the second minute. Odette remains trapped underneath the steady barrage even though Christina can't break her resilience and the vintage counter-puncher tries to steal some late points when she thumps the Spanish women in the guts but Ochoa protects her dominant position and lands more quick hooks on each temple to eventually shut Yustman down for good.

Round 2:
Christina races forward to pick up the slugging menace but misfires with a couple of strikes over the top and wobbles into Odette's range which triggers a steady counter-punching assault sooner than the Spanish free agent would ever want it! Ugh! She slices more thin air above the American's head and gets thumped from the inside as Odette stretches her elbows and keeps firing those head shots in close range whole Ochoa just doesn't have the agility to step away and soaks up one nasty hit after another. She eventually wants to outslug the Lioness brunette again but loses her precision wholesale and gets crippled with a rare shot in the solar plexus before Yustman winds up and TEARS a bloody patch across her nasal ridge just past the one-minute mark. Ugh! Christina gurgles in anger but still leans forward, she bounces off the top of Odette's forehead and gets SMOKED with a brutal left hook on the ear that sends her into shimmy shake mode on the spot! Huh! That's not your everyday Odette Yustman power punch but it's too much for Christina anyway as she stumbles back to the ropes and she tries to bide her time there only for the California southpaw to waltz her way into a position to SLAM another right/left double that results in more blood spilled from the Spaniard's nasal wound. Ochoa grabs the ropes with both arms in order to stay upright but Odette shows her no mercy and FLOORS HER with a ruthless hook on the right temple that leaves the Spanish challenge sinking on the double. Odette struts back to her corner while her opponent just can't even lift her head anymore and tails off in the fast-tempo ten count demise! KO2 Odette Yustman!!!

AFTER: Odette needed that victory and she knows it. She dismisses the media notion she reached for a low-hanging fruit and it's truly not her problem Christina appears to be way too hittable to sustain even a journeywoman career going forward. However the Lioness entourage is still puzzled where the California stunner goes from here. Stablemates Joy Corrigan and Lily Aldridge seem to find better match-ups these days but Odette is simply too talented to be stuck as the third option on the otherwise crowded lightweight pecking order. Maybe it's time to swing for the fences again?
