BEFORE:
A battle of Bantamweights to open this event as Kyra Santoro goes one-on-one with ex-Consortium darling, Mila Kunis. We’re LIVE in the Dreamland Boxing Club, located off Woodard Rd in San Jose, California, where the Vixens are poised to put on five fights to this packed boxing hall. A red-floored ring is situated in the center of the gym, with the sidelines and aprons filled to the brim with foldable metal chairs. Already, latecomers are hollering at the back of the room when Kyra’s music begins to blast through the nearby speakers.

Santoro strides out from the double metal doors in a simple black sports bra and fighting briefs, a white hoodie covering her head as she raises both hands to the crowd. Earlier, the Vixen spoke to reporters about her recent fortunes in the ring, along with her thoughts on her opponent tonight:

“Mila’s a legend. She’s been at this game much longer than I have. It’s a shame, really, the way she went out like that. She should have retired with more grace, and definitely with a winning score. But I’m excited she accepted the fight offer today - I’ve been wanting to test myself against her for a while, especially since I haven’t been faring that well at JMD.”

Next up is Kunis herself, guest fighter on VIX soil tonight but looking confident and unfazed as she strides down the narrow walkway. Kunis is definitely the named fighter in this contest, as evident from the loud cheers and shouts from her packed fans tonight. She smiles, gives a little wave, before climbing up the ring steps in a pink bikini top and hot denim shorts. Earlier, she responded to Santoro’s comments herself:

“Look, Kyra’s got some strong suits. She’s got potential. What she doesn’t have is the experience. It’s gonna be day and night logic once that bell rings, you’ll see. I plan to win firm and strong tonight.”

Ladies touch gloves with a bang in the middle of the ring, the referee enjoying the rare display of sportswomanship. But don’t let that fool you, with neither of these girls smiling or in a happy mood as they set each other with more-than-serious glares, before heading back to their corners. There goes the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:

Kyra’s looking strong as she storms in early, hounds Mila to the head as though she’s fully in charge. That speed bump two months ago when she fell to Jess Nigri doesn’t seem to bother her as she pounds away at Mila’s guard, drawing grunts as she pushes Kunis about the ring for the first minute. Kunis however built sturdier as well, finally holds her ground and bashes back with force, trading blows in the middle of the ring with the eager Vixen. Kunis and Santoro both landing choice blows to the face, loud grunts from lips but neither girl wants to back down in this back-and-forth. Santoro keeps her arms firmly locked over her head, however, absorbing another glancing hook to the arms before replying with a tight swipe across Kunis’ face, winning the exchange for now. The ex-HISC starlet back on the retreat, trying to weather Santoro’s continued assault till the bell. Good first round for Santoro as she storms into an early lead here.

ROUND 2:
Kunis’ focus on her defence makes sense as she keeps a good distance, fending off sustained attacks by Santoro. But Kyra still steaming inwards, clearly the aggressor as she lands hooks and crosses early to the arms, which blow Mila about, but Mila not breaking easily, breaking bread instead as she lands return jabs that snap into Kyra’s face, stunning the Vixen repeatedly and drawing sharp gasps from her lips. Santoro takes three hits before getting stunned to the spot, her arms back up but body taking another one-two combo before she decides to back away. Kunis stays away for the remainder of the round though, happy with the turn of fortunes for now with the two girls exchanging long-range hits to the head before the bell rings to end this second stage.

ROUND 3:
Santoro adapts well, however, keeps her distance and then blasts straight hands down the middle of Mila’s arms, shocking her to the midsection and chest more than once or twice. Mila does her best to keep up but can’t quite rely on her own social distancing to score punches on Kyra’s face as Santoro meets her blow for straight cross, stunning the brunette on the nose and making her break for high ground once more. Santoro knows she’s got the advantage in terms of speed and youthful power, keeps headhunting her opponent about the ring, trying to score that elusive knockdown. Mila may be close to being a cougar herself, but she ain’t going down without a fight, battering the young Vixen to her body and sides whenever she gets in too close, thereby stopping Kyra in her tracks with another thump to her belly or ribs to knock the wind outta her lungs. Round ends with Santoro slightly in the lead, but she has to be more mindful of her enthusiasm going forward.

ROUND 4:
Case-in-point: Mila going back on the offensive, surprising Santoro with an early right hook that sails in outta nowhere, bangs hard off the top of her forehead. Santoro stunned, staggering away, but her guard still absorbing more punishment as Kunis gives chase and runs after the money-shot. Another wild flailing of arms and fists in the center of the ring as Kyra lets fly her own return hooks, but rather haphazardly, hoping to score back on Kunis’ face and stop her brazen advance. She sees some success in the exchange, both girls turning each other’s heads to the side, grunting as they fold each other over in half with snap uppercuts to the belly, then clinch up tight as they wrestle for dominance. Referee has to separate them at least twice before both women simply CLAP back together in a warm, heated embrace, till the bell rings and the dust is forced to settle for now.

ROUND 5:
We’re a little surprised that Kunis can take this much punishment for her age, with Kyra seeing early signs of trouble at putting away such an aged veteran from across the ring. Kyra’s anticipating another all-out brawl in the middle of the ring as Kunis rushes in at her again. But this time, Santoro’s ready and waiting, even more eager to throwdown. The Vixen takes a glancing shot across her face but shakes it off with determination, POWERS through a right hand of her own as she BLASTS Kunis clean off her feet!! Kunis lets out a grunt of pain as her chin takes the brunt of that shot, sending her entire body twisting and turning as she falls face-first to canvas with a THUDD! A KNOCKDOWN for Kyra Santoro as she draws the first and last blood of the evening! Kunis’ left pawing at the ropes whilst on her belly, but makes little effort to get off all fours! Referee hits the count of 10 and waves the rest of the fight off!

Official Decision: Kyra Santoro defeats Mila Kunis via KO5!

AFTER:
What an all-out brawl to kick this evening off as Kyra Santoro puts away the former Flyweight champ within five rounds! Santoro clearly elated, standing by the ropes as she smiles and raises a glove to the crowds, her toned frame satisfied that she’s back in the winning column after tonight’s show.

She goes over later to check on Mila, who’s still semi-conscious by the ropes, muttering short replies to the medical team whilst seated up by the ropes. It seems like the poor actress can’t catch a break for herself, extending her losing streak after getting dropped by her former stable, and the night ends with Kyra graciously accompanying her former adversary out of the ring, back up the ramp and backstage.

“Poor Mila,” Kyra says later to reporters, with all sincerity. “She really did give it her all. I could feel her need for a win tonight - I wished I could give it to her, but I’m trained to give it my all and win. Maybe next time, we’ll have a rematch, and I do hope she doesn’t give up just because of a few losses.”
