3. Kate Beckinsale vs Denise Richards (Cougar Bout)

Kate:

(47, 5’7, 55:38:3 FCBA, VIXENs)

Denise:
(49, 5’6, 34:52:2 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
“McCarthy might swoon after she hears this, but I highly doubt I’ll be able to hit 100 fights by the end of 2020, let along qualify for the Hall-of-Fame. It’s just not physically possible,” Kate says in the pre-fight press conference. If she’s affected by the thought of just falling short of the required number of fights, that smile on her face ain’t showing it. “That doesn’t mean I’m going to stop trying, of course - I’ve never been on such a roll in my life, and I predict crossing the finish line sometime early in 2021.”

Denise Richards, on the other hand, has seen her fair share of ups and downs, once a frequent fighter in the ring, she’s faced off against tougher competition both inside and outside the ring. Now, at the age of 49, she’s still looking ravishing as she flips her luscious blonde hair to the side like a lioness pruning her mane.

“Beckinsale can hope and speculate all she wants, but I’m not like some of the other girls she’s fought these past few months. I’m a former champion, and as you all can see, someone who’s fighting fit at the age of fifty. Nothing personal, Kate - I wish you the best of luck getting into the Hall-of-Fame, but tonight, you’re about to hit another speed bump.”

Ladies are cordial at the podium, however, with Kate and Denise coming together at roughly the same height and built. Beckinsale’s in a navy blue sports bra, striped with white, yellow boxing trunks and white gloves, whereas Denise shows off that toned body at 50 in a revealing red floral bikini top, white bottoms and black gloves.

We’re back in the ring where the referee spouts his final instructions. Nod of assent from both cougars and HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Good lord is Denise Richards busy this month, first getting KO-ed by Susan Ward in the first week of November, now squaring off against Beckinsale with another fight scheduled later next week for the big PPV. Richards definitely a sex symbol just a couple of years ago, now reliving the fantasy life as she gets all the attention within a span of a few weeks. The irony’s not lost on Kate as she storms in to steal her spotlight, left and right swings battering the arms as she puts on her offensive charm in the first minute, relishing the squeals from Denise’s lips as she gets what she asks for. Richards gets pushed back but holds hard and fast, occasional swipes back at Kate scoring on the Brit’s face, giving her a drubbing back multiple times as these cougars go at one another. Beckinsale couldn’t care less about Richard’s legacy, of course, her eyes on the prize of 100 fights and beyond as she takes this first round with plenty of fire.

ROUND 2:
Richards however has everything to gain and not much to lose - the aging actress fights smart here, holding back and lets Kate come towards her before punting a cross hand straight through the arms and into the nose. Ouch! Beckinsale didn’t see that fast hand coming, head tilted upwards in pain as another lightning cross sails in at the speed of sound. Richards, beaming with her fans in tow, continues leading Kate along by the nose as Beckinsale fails to resume the momentum from the last round. Kate’s still trying her best, however, swinging fists at the head and poking at her body, but mainly scores at air or the arms, with Denise always a little out of reach. Wide round for the guest tonight as Richards sees light at the end of this redemptive tunnel.

ROUND 3:
Slow first minute however as Kate catches on quick, stays at distance and forces Richards to engage in fisticuffs when both cougars meet in the center and trade punches to the face. Denise thinks she can hang with her Brit counterpart, gets socked in the mouth when Kate returns the earlier favour and drives a right hand straight to her lips, another one-two combo stinging the nostrils as she has Richards on the retreat again. Denise covers up and grunting, hasn’t learned her lesson to fight smart against someone with more experience and punching power. Too late though - Kate’s got her in her sights, shooting in punches left and right as she batters the American backwards, taking hard swipes into the side of her guard and knocking her head about up top - Denise lets out another groan as she’s turned about on the spot!! Kate delivers a step-in right hook, which catches her flush on the cheek, SENDING HER DOWN!! Good lord - what an early KNOCKDOWN attempt from Beckinsale as Denise spins mid-air, falls face-first to the ground with a THUD!! And that’s where she stays, folks, the referee counting her out till 10, with Richards barely making a whisper!! It’s all over in fifteen!!

Official Decision: Kate Beckinsale defeats Denise Richards via KO3!

AFTER:

Perhaps such a tough schedule makes for tough competition, as Denise Richards extends her losing streak now to eight in a row since the summer of 2013. Whatever was her management thinking to allow her to fight three fights in one month??

But it’s done and dusted as Kate is at least gracious enough to head over post-fight to check on Richards, who still looks a little groggy as she’s sat up by the ropes by the medical team. Richards’ ambitious schedule aside, the Vixen’s head-honcho takes one more step towards immortality and her place in the Hall-of-Fame. For the Brit, it’s only a question of when!
