(Beever's Babes vs The Siren's)

Intro:
The Contenders 6 tournament kicks off with Jourdan Dunn and Melissa stepping into the Docklands Stadium hoping to take one big step towards the title.

Jourdan is 28 years old; she stands 6'1 and holds a record of 7 wins, all of those by knockout and 2 defeats.

Melissa is 32 years old; she stands 5'9 ½ and holds a record of 8 wins, herself all by knockout and only 1 defeat.

The fighters were interviewed by Denise Van Outen in the build up to the fight, with them doing separate interviews on the set of the BBU network.

Jourdan was asked how confident she feels going into this tournament after losing her last fight to Martha Hunt, Jourdan doesn't look impressed and replies "it doesn't matter, that was one bad night, something that won't happen again"

When asked about her feelings on Melissa, Jourdan answers "she is a good fighter but she is just a roadblock to my title shot"

Any message to the other fighters in the tournament is met with "I'll let my fists do the talking for me as they have since I stepped into the ring"

Melissa is happy to talk to Denise about her chances in the tournament, telling her "I see former champions and top contenders but I am better then all of them, only Petra (Nemcova) beat me and that was just a lucky punch"

When asked about Jourdan, she replies "she has proven to be a bottler as you Brits say, she should have won the title against Joan (Smalls) she failed miserable as she did against Martha Hunt, once I pressure her she'll wilt"

Melissa tells her future rivals "they'll be bowing down to me by the end of the tournament" smiling as she stands up and shakes Denise's hand.

Fight night; Jourdan comes out with coach Denise Lewis by her side, she poses at the top of the aisle with hands on her hips before jogging down to the ring.

She is wearing a black sports bra, black trunks with gold trim, black shoes and gloves, with her hair is braided.

Stepping into the ring with an all business look on her face, limbering up with Denise telling her to make a statement to the rest of the field tonight.

Now Melissa comes out with her coach Henry Carvill, she is smiling as she heads down to the ring, Henry and her chatting about what is going to happen.

She is wearing a light blue sports bra, matching trunks with white trim, white gloves, blue shoes and her hair is in a ponytail.

Climbing into the ring; Melissa waves to her fans before staring over at Jourdan, waving her opponent to bring it on as Henry just laughs as he shakes his head at her.

Both women come to the ring center, Jourdan staring down at Melissa who is just smirking right back at her, with them thudding their gloves together before heading back to their corners to begin 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Both women start off jabbing away at each other, Jourdan looking to establish the range she wants early, landing over the top of Melissa's guard early.
Melissa trying to dip down and move inside, with Jourdan landing a double jab off the top of the Italian's head to keep her back.
The Brit controls the pace as she forces Melissa to the outside of the ring, keeping Satta behind her guard as grin forms on her face.
But Melissa times her attack right; slipping under a straight to go to work on the body of Jourdan, who retreats and fires jabs in defence.
Suddenly the fight has comes to life, Jourdan trying to force Melissa off her as they slug it out at the center of the ring, with Melissa throwing overhand shots across the cheeks of her taller opponent to force her back.
With late in the round Jourdan shoving Melissa back and striking her with a two punch combo straight into the face of her older opponent.
The bell rings with Jourdan looking surprisingly annoyed even though all pundits agree she won that round, Denise telling her to not let her focus slip.

Round 2:
Jourdan looks to keep pressing Melissa back around the outside of the ring, firing jabs at the head of Melissa, who is bobbing and weaving to look for an opening.
Melissa dips under a right and comes inside to work the ribs of her opponent with hooks, making Jourdan cry out as she tries to retreat back.
The Italian fighter though is keeping in the face of Jourdan, making it hard for the bigger fighter to land her punches clean.
A right across the face of Jourdan knocks her onto the ropes, where she has to fight hard to try and get off them, under an onslaught from Melissa whose clearly looking to end the fight early.
Jourdan pushes Melissa back so she can move off the ropes, drilling punches into the overly keen Melissa's face to keep her at range.
With Jourdan able to start getting a rhythm going again to keep Melissa off her for the reminding minute of the round.
Once the bell rings it is Melissa with a smirk on her face as she heads to her corner, Henry nodding at her as that was mostly a great round for her with some improvement needed.

Round 3:
Both start off quicker as they trade more punches in volume, Jourdan shoves Melissa back to open space up and lands a left across her cheek.
It looks like Jourdan has stepped up another gear, drilling a three punch combo through the gloves of her opponent to force her back.
With Satta now stuck behind her guard trying to create an opening with her footwork, instead Dunn is keeping her trapped as she swings hooks around the guard of the older fighter when she tries to move out the firing line.
It takes Melissa dipping down and nudging Jourdan back with her left shoulder and coming up with an overhand right.
But Jourdan clinches up with her before she can gain traction, the referee needed to step in as both spit insults.
Once apart Jourdan again gets control of the action by sidestepping Melissa and landing a right across her face, forcing her back onto the ropes with straight punches banging off the gloves of her opponent.
The bell rings to end the round with Jourdan giving Melissa a little shove to the face, telling her "you're nothing" with the referee needed to step between the fighters to order them back to their corners.
Jourdan gets praised by Denise but again is told not to lose focus, with Jourdan scowls at Melissa across the ring.

Round 4:
Jourdan comes out strong as she continues to dig Melissa through her gloves to her face, causing blood to run from the nostrils of Melissa.
Who tightens her guard as Jourdan continues to force her around the outside of the ring, looking for a way to get inside the reach of the lanky fighter.
That happens as Jourdan swings a right hook that Melissa slips under, coming up with an overhand left and follow with an uppercut.
Jourdan is reeled back by Melissa, who is swinging punches up across the face of Dunn, who tries to match firepower with her own.
But the smaller Melissa is the one winning the exchanges, dipping under punches aimed for her head and comes up with a hook across the chin of Dunn.
Jourdan is starting to be knocked backwards by the aggressive Melissa, she tries to clinch up but gets caught with an uppercut again that rocks Jourdan's head back.
The bell rings with Melissa calling Jourdan a bytch before she turns and heads to her corner, Jourdan scowls at her before getting to her corner.
Melissa gets a smile from Henry, who tells her to keep in close and keep hurting Jourdan, with Melissa nodding in reply and her eyes locked onto Jourdan.
Who is getting yelled at by Denise, who animatedly tells Jourdan to get her arse in gear and to beat the hell out of Melissa till she regrets getting into the ring with her.

Round 5:
Jourdan looks to push the action from the bell, with both women landing stiff shots across the others face to roars from the crowd.
Till Jourdan makes a mistake! She misses with a left hook and gets caught to the liver with a right that makes her gasp out.
Jourdan is bent down enough for Melissa to pound her across the face, SENDING DUNN STUMBLING BACK, WITH A LEFT HOOK CATCHING HER ACROSS THE CHIN TO SEND HER TO HER SIDE!
Melissa shouts "yes!" In her native tongue as she jogs to a neutral corner, 1...2...3...4 Jourdan spits out her gumshield as she holds her stomach, 5...6 tears well up in the eyes of the Cockney woman as 7...8...9...10 she is counted out soon enough!

Winner Melissa Satta KO Round 5

After:
First fight of the tournament and it was an explosive battle, Melissa heads over to Jourdan and screams at her "pitiful bytch!" Before spitting on her.

Denise is quickly out her corner to shove Melissa as a brawl nearly breaks out between them, if not for the intervention of Henry to stand in front of his fighter to get her back to her corner.

Jourdan has rolled to her back with her focus seeming to be on catching her breath, Denise kneels down to check on her but looks upset about seeing her lose again.

As soon as Jourdan feels OK; she is helped to stand, though she is holding her gut as she heads over to her corner to be cleaned up.

Meanwhile across the ring Melissa is grinning as Henry tells her how proud he is, she gets her gloves taken off and gives him a massive hug to his delight.

When it comes time for the announcement, Jourdan instead leaves the rings to a few boos, while Melissa shouts "run away little girl" which considering Jourdan is over 6 foot is a hell of a taunt to make.

Melissa gets her hand raised and puts up her index finger on her other hand to show that's 1 down, plenty more challenges stand in her way of getting a title shot.

But as she leaves the ring after thanking the fans, the Sirens stable must know that this is a big step to that tournament title, Jourdan is far from an average fighter and Melissa sent a strong message with this stoppage.
