Intro:
The opening bout tonight here in the Mytishchi Arena in Moscow sees Lily James look to try to keep her unbeaten run going, in her way is the tough Ming Xi, who can be great and sometimes not so, which version of Ming will we get tonight?

Both women agreed to meet at a neutral venue, with them seemingly all business as they kept quiet while sticking to their workouts, only before the fight did BBU TV get anything as they sent Kate Abdo into each fighters dressing rooms.

First heading into Lily's room, she finds Lily is stretching to prepare, smiling as she gives Kate a quick wave to the interviewer, showing she is in a good mood as they exchange peasantries.

Asked about the fight, Lily tells Kate "well this won't be easy, Ming is taller, much more experienced and can hit, so I am not taking her lightly at all" getting serious as she nods at Kate.

She continues "I am here to win though, don't worry about me being afraid of her as I'll need to keep pushing myself to get into that elite bracket, I can do this" Kate pats Lily on her shoulder and wishes her good luck.

Heading into Ming's locker room, Kate has to speak to Ming's coach as she is too busy shadow boxing, the coach tells Kate "as you see Ming is up for this fight"

Taking Kate outside so Ming isn't distracted, the coach adds "we have been working hard as anytime you can stop an undefeated records record is fun, Ming is building her record up and I hope people don't see her as a stepping stone" with the coach thanking Kate for coming over but leaving her so they can go check on Ming.

Fighting time, Lily heads out through the curtain, she waves to the fans as she jogs down the aisle, her coach following as the crowd give her a round of applause.

The actress is wearing a black sports bra with white trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, her hair is tied back into a ponytail as she steps into the ring, looking focused as she talks to her coach on tactics.

Now out comes Ming with her coach, she steps down the aisle as if walking down the catwalk, nodding to the fans as they give her a round of applause too.

The model is wearing a white sports bra with red trim, matching trunks and shoes, red gloves, while her hair is braided, she steps into the ring and bows to each side before settling into her corner.

The fighters come together at the ring center, the height difference on show as Ming stares down at Lily, both fighters staring hard at each other.

They touch their gloves up respectfully with their opponent, then turn back to their corners, once everything is ready the bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Coming out their corners, both show the other respect to start off behind their jabs, moving around the ring center looking to get the range where they want it.

Lily is able to duck down to land some stiff jabs and straight to the body of Ming, getting hit to her forehead though to stop her getting in closer as she wants.

A left cross/straight catches Lily as they enter the second minute, Ming starting to open up more after she knocks back the English fighter to the outside of the ring, taking the center for herself.

Covering up more tightly, Lily is looking tense as Ming is happy to herd her around the ring, landing some stiff shots to the chest of Lily to try to open her up.

The final moments of the round sees Lily duck under a straight to land a straight, followed by two hooks to the body as she finally gets right into the face of the taller fighter.

Problem is the bell rings to end the round, with Lily nodding to Ming as she knows that she didn't come out this round looking good, Ming getting the pat on her back from her coach.

Round 2:
Looking to get inside faster, Lily lands a few more punches to the body of Ming, taking a few clipping punches around the top of her head as Xi moves to box off her back foot.

A nice jab/straight allows Ming to push back Lily, forcing her to get behind her guard as the Chinese fighter looks to push forwards with more head hunting punches.

Ming getting a little too comfortable as she throws a lax straight, Lily ducks it and buries a left under the ribs, an uppercut just glancing the chin of Xi as she takes a step back.

They trade more punches in closer range, Lily's compact body is allowing her to win these exchanges, landing some beautiful combos to knock back Ming to her heels.

Soon Ming finds herself on the ropes, throwing single punches out her guard as she tries to keep Lily from her overwhelming her, Lily landing punches around the ribs of the taller fighter to keep her back.

The round comes to an end with Lily looks happier with her effort, Ming not looking too worried though as she sits on her stool, listening to her coach.

Round 3:
Stepping around the ring more as she fires out her straight punches, Ming is hoping not for a repeat of the last round, instead keeping Lily tied up covering up.

Lily does manage to slip inside to land several shots to the body, she gets nudged back though by the left of Ming, then a right hook smacks across the actress's face to ward her back.

The action is primarily being controlled by Ming, she is landing a more variety of punches as time goes by, adding more shots to the abs and chest of Lily to make her hiss out.

As they head towards the final minute, Lily scores with an overhand left to the jaw of her Chinese opponent, following up with more body shots as she wants to cut down her bigger opponent.

Who needs to clinch up as she struggles to shove back the gritty James, the referee needed to break them up, with Lily taking a jab/straight combo to her face just before the bell rings to end the round.

Both women's faces tell the story so far, Lily looking slightly annoyed by her struggles getting inside, Ming more relaxed as she just sits taking advice.

Round 4:
Again Ming starts quickly on the move side to side, bashing in punches off the guard of Lily, keeping her at arms length as she stays a hard target to pin down.

The lack of experience from Lily showing so far, she isn't cutting the ring off as she should be, leading to her getting popped to the top of her head by straight punches.

A missed right cross by Lily leads her to take a jab/right cross to her face, Ming turns the heat up on James to knock her back towards the ropes, switching to attack more now as she has Lily open.

Wisely Lily clinches up after her back touches the ropes, some blood runs from her nostrils as the referee breaks them apart, giving Lily a chance to move into space.

Ming looks to keep the pressure on Lily, drilling punches around the body of the Brit to make her groan out, leaving herself too open though as Lily slams a right across her cheek, then a left under her ribs to make her wince.

Soon the round ends with Ming getting a dominant round in, she gets a nod from her coach but neither is getting too excited yet, especially as her body is starting to get a pink hue where the body shots have come in.

Meanwhile across the ring Lily's nose is cleaned up as her coach is telling her like a drill instructor what they expect from her, Lily nods before getting up banging her gloves together.

Round 5:
Stepping out their corners, Lily is quicker out the blocks to force a more heated exchange between them, fists flying as both women look to bash back their opponent.

Moving back a step to dodge a left cross, Lily steps in with two short sharp right hooks to the body, then an overhand left smacks Ming across her mouth to make her cry out.

Ducking and swinging in overhand shots, Lily ends up smacking Ming back into a corner, where the model pulls her into a front headlock when Lily puts her head down to land hooks to the body.

Pulled apart with Ming getting warned by the referee to keep it clean, Ming is able to get some rhythm back as she spikes Lily to her nose with two punches.

Back across the ring goes Lily as Ming is throwing more combos herself, a missed straight from Ming leaves her open to an uppercut to the body, which makes her gasp out before a left hook turns her head.

The round comes to an end with Lily looking happier as she jogs to her corner, Ming gets ice on her body as her coach tells her to get the fight back to where they want it to be.

Round 6:
Trading jabs to kick off as both try to get the range to their liking, Lily slips a jab to hammer in a right to the ribs, an overhand left smacks Ming across her cheek.

Back goes Xi towards the ropes, Lily pressing in tight to her, thudding in body shots to make Ming gasp out, Ming clinching up with Lily as both sweat soaked stunners try to shove each other back, grappling till the referee can break them up.

Ming manages to catch Lily with a right to the top of her head, forcing the smaller fighter back towards the ropes, Lily covering up as Ming now gives her some body shots as payment for the ones she has taken so far.

Using her left shoulder to bump back Ming, Lily slips a jab before rifling in a shot to the liver, MING GOES DOWN TO HER KNEES, CRADLING HER STOMACH AS SHE LOOKS AT LILY!

Jogging to the neutral corner, Lily keeps her gloves up ready to strike if needed, 1...2...3.. Ming rubs her stomach as she spits out her gumshield, 4...5...6.. Sucking in air as she pushes up to a knee, 7...8.. Getting up to her feet looking still hurting.

The referee checks Ming, then gives her some time to recover as she gets a fresh gumshield in, Ming nods to her coach that she'll be OK, the fight resumes with Ming boxing defensively.

Luckily for her the bell rings to end the round, Ming gets an ice pack on the body, Lily staring across the ring knowing she has Ming hurt, can she take advantage of this?

Round 7:
Coming back out her corner, Lily moves side to side, looking to find a way to get inside to hurt Ming, who is throwing jabs to be more defensive, looking to recover from that knockdown.

Feinting with a jab, Lily manages to slip her way in closer to land an uppercut to the body, Ming groans out and shuts her eyes, TWO MORE BODY SHOTS COME IN AND DOWN GOES MING TO ALL FOURS!

Off to the neutral corner again goes Lily, she still keeps her gloves up ready for anything, 1...2...3...4... Ming spits out her gumshield as she rolls to her right side, 5...6...7.. Cradling her body as she sucks in air, 8...9...10 too sore to get up, Ming is counted out!

Winner Lily James KO Round 7

After:
A tough back and forth ends with Lily getting the victory after her body work throughout the fight, she leans on the turnbuckles raising her arms in the air, celebrating a sterling win.

Ming's coach heads over to her, helping her to sit up as they put an ice pack on her body to numb the pain, she is sucking in air still as she got winded badly by those hooks that ended the fight.

Over comes Lily to check on Ming, who nods to her and gives her a fist bump to show that she will be OK, Lily smiling at her as she says "great fight" to show her respect to the model.

When Lily gets to her corner, she gets a hug from her coach, patted on the back as she gets praised by her coach, Lily is looking proud of herself as she smiles warmly.

Across the ring Ming is helped to her stool, where she has caught her breath again, apologizing to her coach for losing this fight, the coach telling her not to get too worked up by this defeat, they can build off the good parts as she has shown before she can grow from defeats before.

Coming to the ring center, Lily gets her hand raised by the referee, Ming applauds the winner, with both women nodding to each other to show respect again.

Ming leaves the ring with her coach, she doesn't look too heartbroken by tonight's performance, her coach putting their arm around her shoulder as they tell her to look to the future.

Inside the ring Lily bows to the crowd, getting a good cheer from them, she poses for the cameras with a big smile, throwing up the peace sign with a wink.

Then she leaves the ring, Lily looking good so far in her career, who will be next across the ring from her? Well for now she looks in the mood to celebrate as she jokes with her coach about trying some of the local vodka.
