Intro:
Two up and coming welterweights open tonights BBU PPV here in the BBU arena, Rozanna Purcell fights Nicola Mimnagh in a clash of former beauty pageant winners hoping to go on to success here.

Rozanna is 2

Nicola is 32 years old; she stands 5'11, holding an unbeaten record of 3 wins, all by way of knockout.

The build up to the fight saw both women being interviewed by the BBU TV network, with both understandably talking about their beauty pageant past, as both represented their country at world events in 2010.

Rozanna told the interviewer "obviously I have been watching Nicola for a lot of years, she has never impressed me, even as I hear people try to claim she is going to be a champion around here"

While Nicola also admits "Rozanna is the one who came out of the pageants with some hype, probably more then I did, but I am the one who has been training for years before the BBU, I'm the one who will become a champion when all is said and done"

Each is asked if they dislike the other; Rozanna in her interview laughs before she answers "I don't dislike her, I dislike the notion that she is in my league, she isn't as good looking as me and she definitely isn't as tough as me"

Nicola meanwhile replies "Rozanna and me will frankly be in competition the rest of our lives, but she will never be better then me, that fact will hurt that bytch for the rest of her life.

Fight night; out comes Rozanna in a green sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, while her hair is tied back into a ponytail.

Climbing into the ring; the Irish lass raises her arms as she jogs towards her corner, where her coach tells her to make tonight about herself as she warms up.

Now out comes Nicola; she is smiling as she heads down the aisle, eyes on the ring as she goes while banging her gloves together to get herself in the mood to crush her rival.

She is wearing a red sports bra, red tartan trunks, red gloves and shoes, while her hair is also tied up into a ponytail.

Stepping into the ring; Nicola blows kisses to the fans on her way to her corner, her coach is equally focused on making sure she is ready for this test she is about to face.

The fighters come together at the center of the ring, where the fighters square up to each other, an intense stare down sees the referee stepping between them in case things kick off.

When told to touch gloves; they swipe them together before they head back to their corners, gumshields in before the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Both come out fighting with jabs; the issue for them is the early going is tight due to it being a  mirror style match up, each has the same reach which leads to them smacking their opponent clean to the face while taking punches back.

Rozanna slips a straight to land a counter overhand left to the side of her opponent's head, it looks to spur the Irish fighter on as she forces her opponent behind her gloves with straight shots up top.

The problem for Purcell is she is mostly being blocked, with Nicola ending up leaning her head out the way of a left to counter with a right of her own to the side of her opponent's face.

Ending up grinding theirs heads together, they try to press the other back with hard body shots, with Rozanna getting a warning off the referee when she uses her left to push Nicola's head down, then fire two uppercuts to the body.

Rozanna finishes the round strong as she dodges a right cross to land two rights to the ribs, just missing with an overhand left as Mimnagh just gets her head out the way.

The bell rings with both returning to their corners looking relaxed, though they keep taking a glance at the other while their coaches are telling them what they need to do.

Round 2:
Stepping back out to fight; both fighters start throwing more punches in volume, landing several stiff shots across the other fighters face as some sweat comes off them.

Nicola lands a double jab on the nose of her opponent, then slams a right across her face, which she uses to step in close to work in the pocket, trying to grind Purcell down.

Shoving back the Scottish fighter; Rozanna lands a right cross as momentum looks to be switching again, Rozanna is knocking back Nicola as she keeps targeting upstairs.

But a missed right leaves Purcell open to a counter left to her cheek, an uppercut follows as  now the younger fighter is driven onto the ropes,  forcing her behind her gloves as Mimnagh opens up on her.

The round comes to a close with Rozanna fuming as she shoves herself off the ropes, her coach tells her to calm down as she sits down, eyes full of anger.

Round 3:
Nicola comes out looking to pressure her rival, throwing most of her punches towards the head of Rozanna as she keeps stepping forwards, taking the center of the ring as she forces Rozanna to the outside.

Rozanna manages to slip a left cross to land two body shots, she is soon knocked back though by a left across the side of her head as Nicola buries two lefts into the body of Purcell.

It's Mimnagh controlling the action; her high aggression attack is leaving Rozanna mostly stuck near the ropes, where she landing only a few counter shots before being pounded back.

A right to the body of Rozanna leaves her open to a left straight into her face, Nicola moves in to work the body with her head down, forcing Rozanna to pull Nicola into a clinch, the referee needed to pry them apart.

When the bell rings Rozanna looks up to the ceiling as if looking for advice from a higher power, instead she has her coach yelling at her to fight smarter.

All the while Nicola is relaxed in her corner; getting a drink and washed down as her coach tells her to keep this simple, Rozanna will crack under pressure.

Round 4:
Rozanna is starting to look more mobile, not heading straight on to fight Nicola, leading to the older fighter missing more as Rozanna jabs straight into her face.

As Nicola swings a right to try to catch Rozanna; she misses and pay for it with a left across her face, a right to the nose follows as the Irish lass presses forwards.

The speed of Purcell is giving her rival problems; she keeps targeting the gut of Mimnagh to make her grunt out, worse for the Scottish lass is she can't land her power shots like before.

But Nicola does manage to catch out her opponent with a left across her face as she steps that way, following up by stepping inside to force Rozanna into a close range exchange.

Till the round ends with both women returning to their corners with marked up faces, both women glare across the ring as their coaches tell them what they need to fix to win this.

Round 5:
Both fighters come out trading single punches to start; Nicola is moving to cut off the ring more to force Rozanna into more heated exchanges as the crowd cheers both fighters on.

Nicola backs Rozanna towards the ropes; where she gets clinched up by Rozanna, the referee has to break the hissing pair apart as tempers are rising.

It looks like Mimnagh is starting to take control of the action as she keeps Purcell near the ropes, drilling punches between the younger woman's gloves to knock sweat from her head.

As Nicola throws a left cross; Rozanna dips under it and counters with a right just above the waistband of Nicola's trunks, the older fighter looks winded as suddenly Rozanna now is the one driving her backwards.

The round ends with Nicola taking deep breaths as she returns to her corner, while Rozanna looks to her coach who is smiling at her, telling her to keep at the hurt Nicola and make her crumble.

Round 6:
Nicola is fighting more defensive; definitely feeling the body shot from the last round as Rozanna moves around her, throwing jabs up top till SHE LANDS A HARD RIGHT TO THE GUT OF MIMNAGH, WHO GOES DOWN TO ALL FOURS!

The crowd roar as Rozanna heads off to a neutral corner, 1...2...3... Nicola spits out her gumshield to breath easier, 4....5...6.. Looking up at the referee, Nicola is lightly sobbing as 7...8...9... Her coach yells at her to get up but 10 it is over!

Winner Rozanna Purcell KO Round 6

After:
"F***ing come on! Roars Rozanna as she jogs over to her corner, mounting the bottom ropes as this is a big victory for her, taking the unbeaten record of her rival.

With Nicola helped to her feet holding her stomach, her coach tells her not to let this defeat get to her as understandably she looks glum when looking at the coach.

Things get worse for her as Rozanna comes over now without her gloves on; grabbing Nicola by her hair as she makes her do a walk of shame, telling the beaten fighter " you'll never be in my league you bytch!"

When the lap is over; Rozanna shoves Nicola into her corner, ordering her out the ring as she says Nicola doesn't deserve to be in the ring with her, which with help from her coach Nicola does, head down as she feels humiliated.

In the ring Rozanna gets her arm raised by the referee; she yells out "come on Vogue (Williams)  I want a rematch you lucky cow!" challenging her  bitter national rival who she lost to months ago.

Vogue might have other ideas but all Rozanna can do now is smile as she leaves the ring, waving to the fans as she heads up the aisle with getting a run together of wins on her mind now.
