(Girls Friday vs Free Agent)

Intro:
The opening bout tonight sees Kelly Gale and Mallory Jansen look to get a big win over another prospect, will it be the Swede or the Aussie getting her hand raised tonight?

Kelly is 24 years old, she stands 5'9 ½, holding a record of 10 wins, 9 coming by way of knockout, with 4 defeats.

Mallory is 30 years old, she also stands 5'9 ½, her record is 6 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with only 1 defeat, she is a former ACB lightweight champion.

This is a close fight to call in pundits eyes, Kelly younger but Mallory arguably has the greater big match experience with her ACB title run.

The build up saw both women speak to the press at event, Kelly up first in front of the journalists, her usual beaming smile on show.

"I can't pretend my last fight went well, Helena just has my number right now I hate to admit" Kelly talking about her last fight with Helena Mattson, one she lost by knockout after putting up a great showing, the second time that has happened to her.

Pointing over at Mallory across the room, Kelly says "but her over there, I don't fear her one bit, she has won gold before me, Holly (Valance) showed she is beatable" that makes Mallory take notice.

Facing off in expensive dresses, Mallory asks "you got something to say to me Kelly? I am all ears" hands on hips as they square up to each other.

"I was just saying how I don't fear you honey, for all your hype I just don't see it myself" Kelly tells Mallory, who laughs in her face.

"Funny you say that, see I remember all the hype around you, how Kelly Gale would be the future of the lightweights, you are not even the best lightweight in your country" Mallory fires back as tempers are flaring up.

Hissing back "says the bytch who was laid flat out by Holly, let's both be honest she suits that title better then you ever did" foreheads touch as their managers rush over to separate them.

Threats and insults are exchanged before both women are led away, the journalists are in agreement that this could get even more personal between these two.

Fight night, Kelly heads out with Taryn Terrell and Eva Carneiro with her, she is looking relaxed as she heads down the aisle with eyes only for the ring.

She is wearing a baby blue sports bra, baby blue trunks with yellow stripes down the sides, blue shoes, yellow gloves and her hair tied back into a braid.

Getting into the ring, Kelly blows a few kisses to the crowd, heading to her corner with a serious look as a win here will be massive for her going forwards.

Now out comes Mallory with her coach beside her, she is staring hard at the ring as she walks down the aisle, her coach telling her to show Kelly why she is a former champion.

She is wearing a dark green with orange stripes, matching trunks and shoes, green gloves, while her hair is tied back into a ponytail.

Stepping through the ropes, Mallory pounds her chest as her eyes lock on Kelly's, beginning her warm up as both fighters keep eyes firmly on the other.

Brought to the center of the ring, they square up as they did at the media event, noses touching as the referee goes through their final instructions.

The touch of gloves is more a quick swipe, quickly heading back to their corners, the referee signals for the bell to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
They both circle in close to start, tight guards as they go through the feeling out process in the opening moments, before swinging a big hook each to try to catch the other out, they only find thin air with their attempts.

Opening up to work more, Mallory steps inside first to land two hooks to the body, taking a right to her ear though as she steps back, she gets a taste of the hand speed of Gale.

Who the next time Jansen tries to come in closer, shows it with a pinpoint jab/straight combo between her gloves into the Aussie fighters face.

Getting her timing together, Kelly is landing with more fluidize between them, Mallory having a little trouble matching the volume of punches from her younger foe, finding herself being beaten in the exchanges.

The final seconds of the round sees Mallory dip down under a right cross, head down as she works the toned body with her opponent with several shots before the bell rings to end the round.

Kelly seems happy enough with her efforts, though Taryn is telling her to sit down more on her punches once she is happy she has the range sorted out.

Round 2:
Banging her gloves together as she comes out, Mallory is looking to close the gap sooner to force Kelly into a corner or on the ropes.

She is getting clipped to her cheeks though, Kelly dancing side to side to the delight of her corner, showing nice footwork along with hand speed to keep Mallory on the outside.

Till after the opening minute of the round, Mallory dips a left cross before stepping in with her left forearm to the tits of Gale, shoving her onto the ropes, where she goes back to work on the flanks of the model.

Who needs to shove back Mallory to open up a gap, Kelly though is beginning to find out that Mallory is a shrewd operator at her best, slipping punches before using her left again to shove Kelly back.

There's more tightly fought exchanges happening as Mallory is stamping her authority on the round, an uppercut just misses Kelly's chin as she leans back in time.

It forces Kelly to tighten her guard up as Mallory hammers away in the dying seconds of the round, at the bell Mallory jogs back to her corner looking up for this test.

Round 3:
There's a jabbing exchange to kick this round off, Kelly trying to keep the gap between them since Mallory seems to have the better inside fighting skills.

Something she can show off again as Mallory slips a jab to land an overhand right to the jaw of Gale, a left hook buries itself into the side of the Swedes body to make her hiss out.

Another fiery exchange starts as Mallory nearly rams her head into the mouth of Kelly, angering the younger woman into planting her feet to go toe to toe with Mallory.

Who is showing that big fight experience as she seems to be a conductor leading an orchestra, stepping back outside when Kelly winds up a big right haymaker hook, instead it's the actress landing a double jab into the cheek of Kelly to back her up.

The Jansen corner smiling as they see their girl beginning to toy a little with Kelly, switching gears and tactics to confuse the younger fighter into mistakes, ones she makes her pay for with hooks.

At the bell Kelly returns to her corner angrily kicking the bottom rope, Taryn sits her down before giving her a telling off for letting her temper get the better of her.

Across the ring Mallory on the other hand is serene, sitting with a grin as she sees she got to Kelly this round, her coach looking confident in their fighters abilities to get the win sooner then later.

Round 4:
Coming out her corner looking calmer after the talk with Taryn, Kelly is moving her head more while throwing straight shots, getting on her bike again as Mallory stalks her.

The actress lands a good jab/straight to the chest of Kelly, trying to keep her in one place it seems, a left hook though smacks her across the jaw to make her back off.

Both showing off nice boxing skills to dart inside to work, then getting out when they are getting hit across the cheeks or back of their heads.

Mallory looks to bully Kelly again with a left cross to the cheek, she finds only thin air again and a straight smacks right into her eye to make her blink and back off.

There seems to be dread showing on the faces of Mallory's corner as they watch Kelly get her rhythm back, landing more cleaner punches as the round moves further along.

A missed right cross from Jansen leaves her open to an overhand left to her cheek, an uppercut snaps her head back as Kelly sits down more on her punches, bashing the Aussie back onto the ropes as the Girls Friday corner cheer her on.

The round ends with Mallory staring hard at Kelly, not enjoying being on the receiving end, her coach wiping her brow as they chat about what went wrong there.

While Kelly gets a nod from Taryn to tell her good work, both chatting about what needs to happen next from Kelly, with Kelly listening keenly to the advice.

Round 5:
Again they settle into trading jabs, Mallory is itching to get in closer judging by her moving more on the front foot of the two before moving back when she is nearly getting caught with hooks.

Feinting with a left, Kelly causes Mallory to move to the left, where her right hook comes flying straight across the chin of the former champion.

Jelly legs on show from Mallory, Kelly not disappointing her corners cries of go for her, slamming three straight punches into the face of Jansen to back her up, A LEFT HOOK CRASHES ACROSS THE CHIN OF MALLORY TO SEND HER DOWN TO HER SIDE!

Pumping her left fist into the air, Kelly certainly enjoyed that punch as she jogs to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Mallory spits out her gumshield as she looks over to her corner, 5...6...7.. A dazed look on her face as 8....9...10 she is counted out without barely moving!

Winner Kelly Gale KO Round 5

After:
Maybe the biggest name on her record, Kelly jumps up and down as Taryn and Eva head into the ring to join her in celebrating, all three beaming as her fans cheer loudly.

Mallory on the other hand needs helped to sit up, she holds her chin as she looks close to crying, that air of invincibility she once had is gone well and truly now, she seems to know it perfectly well as she asks her trainer where she went wrong.

The coach telling her she got baited into the hook, they'll work on that more in training as the coach tries to keep the mood chipper, not wanting to upset Mallory any more as she is helped to her feet.

She doesn't look too happy when she sees Kelly posing in her corner for her fans, left arm flexed as she pouts with a wink, making Mallory grit her teeth wanting to do something to ruin their mood, knowing she isn't in shape to do it though.

Bother fighters get their gloves taken off and washed down, then head to the center of the ring for the final result to be announced, Mallory staring hard at Kelly as she watches the winner get her hand raised.

Shaking her head before stepping out the ring, Mallory can't believe she lost a fight she controlled through the middle rounds, her coach following behind as they let her stew.

Inside the ring Kelly jogs around the inside of the ring, getting rid of some demons tonight after her defeat two months ago, she is all smiles this time as she jogs to the back, hoping for more wins to build herself up as a real contender.
