Intro:
The second bout tonight sees Doutzen Kroes look to continue her run for top spot in the Contender 6 tournament, while Caroline Austin looks to continue building her name off the veterans here in the Arena Mexico in Mexico City.

Doutzen is 34 years old; she stands 5'10 and holds a record of 14 wins, 13 by knockout with 8 defeats, she is a former BBU lightweight champion.

Caroline is 27 years old; she also stands 5'10 and holds a record of 2 wins, both by knockout and 2 defeat.

Right now Doutzen is third in the tournament with two wins and one defeat, compared to the fifth placed Caroline; who has a record of one win and two defeats.

The fighters went onto the BBU TV set to give their opinions on the fight ahead and the tournament itself, with Doutzen the first one on the set wearing a red dress.

"I hope I am beginning to show you guys that I belong in this division, when I moved to welterweight I heard all the questions on if I could make a difference, right now I feel great" says Doutzen as she smiles.

"Now I have Caroline in front of me; I honestly think that she can be a big player in future, for now though she is in the deep end and I'm going to drown her in this fight" continues the Dutch model, she soon stands up and leaves after nodding with a smile to the cameraman.

Caroline comes on the set wearing a white shirt and black jeans, she looks relaxed as she sits on the stool ready to give her thoughts.

"Doutzen Kroes is who I get now; this is a fight I've been looking for since the tournament begun, the only one with championship experience amongst us, taking her name as someone I have beat will be massive for me" Caroline says with a serious look.

"I know the odds are against me but I am younger and this is my natural weight, so I know I can knock her ass out if I can catch her, Bo (Krsmanovic) already showed that Doutzen is stoppable" continues the Aussie as she starts to grin.

She finishes by saying "I've taken my early fights as good learning experiences, now I'm going to prove why I got put into this tournament"

Fight night; out comes Doutzen with Nicole Ritchie beside her, she looks calm as she heads down to the ring, looking straight ahead as Nicole tells her to keep this streak she is on going.

She is wearing an orange sports bra, matching trunks, gloves and shoes showing her national pride, while her blonde hair is braided.

Climbing into the ring; Doutzen gives the fans a quick wave as she jogs to her corner, before using Nicole's hands as pads to punch to warm up.

Caroline heads out now with her coach behind her, she smiles as she jogs down the aisle to the ring, not looking overawed by facing a former champion judging by her demeanor.

She is wearing an emerald green sports bra, matching trunks with gold stripes up the sides, green gloves with gold thumbs and green shoes, her hair is in a ponytail.

Stepping into the ring; Caroline nods to the fans as she jogs to her corner, once there she can be heard discussing that she is going to knock Doutzen out with her coach while limbering up.

Once they are ready the referee brings the fighters to the center of the ring, nose to nose go the fighters as there is tension visible between them.

Though when they are told to touch gloves; their seems respect between them as they do as told, then return to their corners ready for 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
As the action starts Doutzen is looking to pressure Caroline from the off, keeping dodging punches from the Aussie as she steps inside to work.

Caroline looks a little stunned by the aggression of her opponent, getting caught with overhand punches that knock her back steps, with her starting to hide behind her guard.

With Caroline needing to give Doutzen a shove to open up space, landing several punches to the face of the dutch fighter to force her backwards.

A missed right though from Austin leaves her open to counter punches to the body, Kroes taking advantage to knock her younger opponent back on her heels.

The veteran is stopping Caroline getting into any rhythm, with Doutzen's work rate is allowing her to herd Caroline around the outside of the ring, the Aussie looking to stay off the ropes with her footwork.

The round ends with Doutzen looking dominant as she sits on her stool; Nicole telling her to keep this work rate up as Caroline doesn't look like she knows what to do.

Round 2:
Caroline knowing what to expect now comes out the gates more quicker, leading to an early slugfest in the center of the ring, the crowd look to be loving this as they roar the fighters on.

This time Doutzen gets a little stunned when she gets nudged by a left forearm across her chest, a right hook slamming across her cheek to turn her head.

With the veteran now finding herself being driven around the ring, Caroline is landing a lot more now that she isn't being kept under wraps.

Doutzen shows her experience though to be patient, keeping her guard up as she bobs her head, till she finally dodges a straight punch by dipping down, then rips up an uppercut that knocks Austin's head back.

Now it's Doutzen who is back in the driving seat, landing through the mitts of her opponent to knock her head back, while keeping her towards the ropes.

Once Caroline's back touches the ropes, she again gives Doutzen a shove to her face, followed this time by a straight punch so that she can stop the charge.

That allows Caroline to come on strong late in the round by beating Doutzen back across the ring in the dying seconds, with the bell ringing to end the round.

Caroline looks a little more relaxed as she heads back to her corner, her coach tells her that she needs to be the one dictating what is happening to win this fight.

Round 3:
This time Doutzen reverts to her usual style, she is boxing more behind her jab as she moves around Caroline, who is trying to get into the former champions face.

Instead now Doutzen is counter punching Caroline, who looks puzzled by what is in front of her, the less experienced fighter slows down her own attacks as she tries to work out what's in front of her.

That is allowing Doutzen to control what is happening to the dismay of Austin's coach, who is telling her to get inside to stop her opponent moving around so freely.

Caroline does start to land more as she gets in closer, with both fighters landing some good shots across the others face.

But as Caroline goes to shove Doutzen like the last round, the Dutch lass sidesteps her and counters with a right to the side of Caroline's head.

Doutzen drives Caroline onto the ropes, where Caroline is trying to fight her way off them, Doutzen though is the one looking better in the exchanges due to her having more room to dodge before returning fire.

The round ends with the Lookout! Corner looking happy again as Doutzen returns, her face is washed down as it has a few marks.

But it looks a lot more cleaner then Caroline's face, which looks a lot more marked up, her cheeks already have a little puffiness around them.

Round 4:
The early action sees Caroline look to close the gap early, landing several punches as she keeps moving forwards to put Doutzen under pressure.

Soon enough though she gets countered by Doutzen; who lands a right to the ribs after slipping a left cross.

Doutzen managing to bust open the lips of Caroline with two straight shots off them, a left follows into the left hook across the face of Austin to back her up.

Caroline trying to fire back to knock Doutzen to the outside, Doutzen is reading Caroline like a book though, easily moving around the Aussie so she can counter.

Making Caroline look like she is losing confidence, she is covering up more as Doutzen is moving in closer to work the body, taking clipping punches to the top of her head.

The round ends with Doutzen again looking supreme so far, she enjoys getting a cool drink of water as she listens to Nicole praising her.

Across the ring is a much more louder exchange of views, Caroline arguing with her coach about what she should be doing, all the while a cut man is trying to stop the blood flowing from her lip down her chin.

Round 5:
It's clear Caroline's lack of experience compared to her opponent is proving a huge obstacle for Caroline to over come.

She is becoming tentative as she tries to measure up Doutzen; WHO SLIPS UNDER A STRAIGHT PUNCH TO COME UP WITH TWO UPPERCUTS, THE SECOND KNOCKING CAROLINE TO THE DECK!

The Austin corner is throwing their arms up in anger as they see their fighter down, 1...2...3... Caroline has her eyes open but they looked badly glazed, 4...5...6..7.. She blinks rapidly to try to clear her head, 8...9...10 that's all she wrote though for Caroline.

Winner Doutzen Kroes KO Round 5

After:
This may go down as the most dominant performance of the tournament, Doutzen said she'd drag Caroline down to the deep end, boy did she ever!

The victor raises her fists as she does a victory lap around the ring, she looks ready to go a ten rounder now as she smiles at her fans, who are chanting her name.

Meanwhile Caroline is helped to sit up as she comes around, she punches the canvas in frustration, admitting she felt such a rookie tonight, which considering this was her fifth fight is saying something.

Her coach chalks it up to a bad night at the office, helping her up to show there's no ill feeling over the arguing they did before.

Doutzen rushes over when she sees Caroline is standing to check on her, Caroline says "I'll be OK; thank you though" with Doutzen nodding as she sees the younger woman isn't in the mood to really talk to the woman who just knocked her out.

So instead Doutzen jogs over to her corner to get her gloves taken off, Nicole praising her as she tells her "you keep showing the world that this is going to be your division babe, future hall of famer!"

"A little early to talk about all that" jokes Doutzen as the two blondes laugh, Nicole hugging Doutzen to show how much she appreciates her.

Once Caroline has been cleaned up; both women come to the center of the ring, Caroline doesn't look over to Doutzen, still looking heart broken to have been swept aside so easily by the looks of things.

While Doutzen gets her hand raised to a loud cheer, the winner bows to each side of the crowd to show her thanks for their support of her.

Caroline leaves the ring with her coaching team, this is the big gut check time for the young fighter, can she emerge from this fight like a Phoenix to finish the tournament strong or has this tournament been a mistake for her?

She has Melissa Satta in the final round of fights, both have had disappointing tournaments, so that could be a key fight to see how both advance from the tournament.

Inside the ring Doutzen is beaming, while she can't win the tournament; she has a possibility of finishing second, she is facing Alice Goodwin in her final tournament fight, that a straight shoot out as it stands for that second spot.

Doutzen for now leaves the ring; talking to Nicole about already getting back to the gym, both joke around as they are certainly in a good mood concerning Kroes future in this weight division.
