(Downunder Boxing vs Girls Friday)

Intro:
The main event now sees the second time best friends Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio duke it out, this time for the BBU lightweight title here in the BBU Arena.

Miranda is 37 years old; she stands 5'9, holding a record of 32 wins, 30 coming by way of knockout, with 12 defeats, she is the current ACB bantamweight champion, a former BBU bantamweight and lightweight champion and a former Queen of the Ice Hotel.

Alessandra is 39 years old; she stands 5'9 ½, holding a record of 43 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with 15 defeats, she is the current BBU lightweight champion making her record tenth defence tonight, she is a former FCBA lightweight champion and the first ever dual BBU/FCBA champion.

As stated these two have fought before, pitted against each other in the Victoria Secret tournament in October 2017, Miranda knocked out Alessandra in seven rounds in what seemed like the only time they would fight.

But as both women head onto the stage for the press event and weigh in, Miranda wearing a green robe as she has her radiant smile, Alessandra looking more serious in a black robe.

After they go nose to nose for the cameras, they each take off their robes to reveal bikinis matching their robes, both grin as they separate to talk to their managers before the weigh in.

First up is the challenger on the scales, Miranda stands on them with hands on her hips, the announcer yelling "she weighs in at 125lbs!" Making her wink to the assembled press, she looks as fit as always.

Now it is the champion on the scales, Alessandra taps her abs as the announcer shouts "weighing in at 126lbs!" Alessandra heads off the scale to grab her title and place it on her right shoulder.

They are handed microphones to speak, with normally the challenger speaking but Alessandra instead is allowed by Miranda to say her piece to the journalists.

"I know you'll all be wondering why me and Miranda are fighting, we have been friends for god I lose count" both laugh at that as they look at ease even knowing what they are going to do to each other in twenty four hours time.

"I am about to tie the record amount of BBU title defenses, Miranda is the best fighter I know so I wanted her to be the one to try to stop me, that way if I lose well I know the title will be going to a good home" Alessandra says as Miranda taps her abs with a wink.

Miranda tells Alessandra "don't get to sappy or we'll lose all these guys before we throw a punch" winking at her friend as the champion laughs with her.

"You are right Miranda, so there is another motive for this, see I have one question in my career, am I good enough to defeat you? I love you but we are both competitive and I think you would have wanted to fight me again someday had you lost, this is the perfect time to do it as I have everything to lose but history to make if I win, you know I'm the history maker" the Brazilian smiles as she holds up the lightweight title towards Miranda.

Who grins back as she points at the title and replies "you know I never lost that belt? I vacated it to go to America, maybe that was a mistake since look at what you have achieved since then, technically I'm the linear champion against the current champion" with Alessandra agreeing at that.

"On that note then I am going to reclaim what is mine babe, I love you too but as you say, we are competitive and whatever happens after this fight is we shake hands and the answer to who is better is sorted" Miranda tells Ambrosio, both shake hands on that before they leave the stage.

Fight night; out comes Miranda first with Nikki Visser, the BBU fans welcoming back the stunning Aussie with a loud roar, Miranda strutting down the aisle with a big smile, loving the reaction to her home coming to the BBU.

She is wearing a dark green sports bra and matching shoes, dark green sports trunks with gold trim, green gloves with gold thumbs, her blonde hair is tied back into a ponytail.

Stepping inside the ring, Miranda struts around the ring, arms at her sides as she soaks in the crowds love, finishing in her corner with Nikki telling her to leave her friendship at the door, bring the title back home to Australia.

The cameras now on the aisle as out the curtain comes the Girls Friday crew, Taryn Terrell holding the BBU title up with Eva Carneiro beside, behind them is a focused Alessandra as they march down the aisle.

She is wearing a black sports bra with an "AA" badge on her left cup, black trunks with gold trim, black shoes, black gloves with gold thumbs, her brunette hair is tied back into a ponytail too.

Climbing through the ropes into the ring, Alessandra bouncing on her toes in her corner as she thuds her gloves together, looking ready to get it on with Kerr.

The referee brings the fighters to the center of the ring, going nose to nose they stare hard into the others eyes, showing that their friendship is on the back burner.

Touching their gloves up hard, they turn back to their corners, once everything is ready the bell is rung, starting 10 rounds of BBU lightweight title action.

Round 1:
"Ding" nodding to each other before they exchange jabs, warming up to the task at hand, circling at the center of the ring, loading big right hands that just miss when they throw them.

A left cross smacks Miranda to her jaw when she goes to step in with a straight, Alessandra lances a straight into the nose of Kerr to push her back a step.

The champion landing the better punches so far, drilling Miranda to her cheeks, happy to box on the outside for now, catching Miranda coming at her with cross punches.

After the half way point of the round sees Miranda land her first big punch of the fight, she feints with her jab and comes up the middle with an uppercut to knock back Ambrosio to her heels.

Back towards the ropes goes Alessandra, Miranda landing another two cross punches before she gets clinched up, they push with their bodies as the competitive edges they have are rearing their heads.

Broken up with forty seconds to go, Alessandra stings the cheeks of Miranda with a double jab, ducking under a left cross to land a right under the ribs of the challenger to make her hiss out.

At the bell Alessandra returns to her corner with a determined look on her face, this is the most important fight of her life and it shows, while Miranda looks relaxed even after the slow start.

Round 2:
Again it is a cagey start as both know how hard the other hits, they are trading more them simple jabs but are not pushing the boat out in the opening forty seconds.

Miranda reminds Alessandra of her skills, feinting with her right before landing an overhand left to the cheek, she then pierces the guard of Ambrosio with a right the face.

The challenger drives back Ambrosio towards the ropes, body shots causing Alessandra to grit her gumshield to not grunt out, needing to shove back Kerr to get her way off the ropes.

Now they are beginning to throw more combos, bodying up to each other as they drill punches into cheeks and abs, barks and groans ring out from them.

Late in the round Miranda gets clipped with two cross punches to her cheeks, Alessandra leaning out the way of an uppercut, landing a counter right hook to turn the Aussies head.

At the bell they fist bump before returning to their corners, still being friendly enough even in the circumstances, their coaches telling them they need to step it up if they are to get their hand raised.

Round 3:
Coming out their corners quicker, they end up trading on the inside, using their lefts to give the other little shoves so they can land their right crosses.

Alessandra landing two uppercuts to the abs of Miranda, starting to beat her back to the ropes, where Miranda pulls her into a clinch to stop the assault.

Once apart Alessandra tries to get back into the face of her opponent, she misses with a straight and eats a left hook to her jaw, Miranda turning the heat on her with two more straight shots to her face.

Back and forth goes the action as it heats up, faces get turned by hooks as they go toe to toe before retreating and resetting.

Alessandra will force back Miranda with straight shots into her mouth, before an overhand punch will hammer her jaw, Miranda then works the body to drive back towards the center of the ring.

The round ends with no fist bump, both looking hyped up as they return to their corners grinning, cheeks marked up after that hard fought round, crowd roaring as the arena is electric.

Round 4:
Nearly clashing heads early on as they try to work on the inside, they snap the others head with straight shots, crowd chanting their names to will them on to fight harder.

After a minute of more back and forth slugging it out in tight, Alessandra leaks out the way of an uppercut, INSTEAD ALESSANDRA LANDS A RIGHT HOOK TO THE CHIN OF MIRANDA THEN AN OVERHAND LEFT KNOCKS THE CHALLENGER TO HER BACK!

The champion yells "yes!" As she heads to the neutral corner, 1...2...3... Miranda shakes her head as she turns to her side, 4...5... Getting to all fours she crawls to the ropes, 6...7...8.. Using the ropes Miranda beats the count.

When they resume Alessandra looks to land the killing blow to her friends title challenge, Miranda covering up as she boxes defensively, still looking a little buzzed.

Alessandra does land a crisp double jab/straight combo to snap the head of Miranda back, forcing her into a corner, where Miranda pulls her into a clinch, enjoying taking a breather from being pushed around.

The round comes to an end with Alessandra mouthing "come on" as she returns to her corner, Taryn washing her face down as she tells her to take this chance.

Across the ring Miranda gets water poured over her head to wake her fully up, Nikki telling her to not risk it all in a shoot out, she needs to box the ears off of Ambrosio.

Round 5:
Aiming at the head of Miranda, Alessandra is looking to drive her friend back straight away, with both landing punches through the others mitts to marked up faces.

A left cross to the nose of Miranda causes blood to flow from her nostrils, the challenger forced behind her guard, she needs to stem the assault she is under as Alessandra grows in confidence.

Pushing back Alessandra when her back hits the rope, Miranda yells "bring it!" With Alessandra smiling and nodding at her, they bump shoulders as they work away in close.

Miranda trying to show her toughness, gets knocked back when a double jab smacks her on her nose, a right cross doesn't land flush as she gets her glove up in but is being herded along the ropes.

Final thirty seconds and Alessandra misses with a straight, an overhand left smacks across her jaw with an uppercut snapping her head back, Miranda driving back Alessandra to the center of the ring.

At the bell Alessandra jogs back to her corner with under round under her belt, Taryn warning her to be careful though, she got a little too open at the end of that round for her liking.

While in the Downunder camp, Nikki is telling Miranda to get her backside in gear, the fight is starting to pass her by in Nikki's eyes.

Round 6:
Trying to pin back Miranda behind her guard, Alessandra kicks off the same way she did last round, too predictable though Miranda slips a straight to hammer a right under the ribs and an overhand left.

Showing she has her feet fully under her again, landing several stiff cross punches, Miranda backs Alessandra to the outside of the ring, controlling the center herself.

Parrying a straight, Alessandra is able to drill in one of her own to the nose, following up with a left hook to get her fans cheering again as sweet flies off Kerr.

When she misses with a left cross, Alessandra gets clocked with an overhand right to her chin, a right to the mouth of Ambrosio backs her off with blood running from her bottom lip.

Miranda is slowly gaining ground in these exchanges, late in the round she lands a left hook to the cheek, followed by two straight punches that allows her to pin Alessandra to the ropes till the bell rings to end the round.

With Miranda breathing a sigh of relief at getting back on the board after a difficult last few rounds, both starting to breath harder as they stare across the ring at each other.

Round 7:
Trading hard straight punches to start, blood trickles from their cuts down their faces, Alessandra tries to step in with a left cross but misses and earns a right across her chin.

Next time they exchange Alessandra gets caught with a left hook/uppercut combo, that reels her back two steps as Miranda pounces on her with more nasty head hunting punches.

The champion tries to fight back as Taryn yells at her to clinch, instead an uppercut knocks her head back, A LEFT/RIGHT HOOK COMBO SENDS ALESSANDRA TO HER BACK!

Nikki jumps for joy as Miranda nods over to her, 1...2...3.. Alessandra is groaning as she stares up at the lights, 4...5...6.. Her right knee is bent as it looks like she is going to try getting up, 7...8.. But it doesn't look like she has any strength, 9...10 that's all she wrote for the Ambrosio title reign!

Winner and new BBU Lightweight Champion Miranda Kerr KO Round 7

After:
For the second time in her illustrious career Miranda Kerr is on top of the BBU mountain, ending the historic reign of her best friend with a brutal combination.

Showing she still cares about her friend and doesn't lose herself in the moment, Miranda jogs over to Alessandra, kneeling next to her as she checks on the former champion.

Who is helped to sit up and admits "you got me again babe, you are the better fighter" Miranda hugs her as all competitiveness washes away from them, back to being friends first before anything else.

The crowd applaud both fighters, who are now standing thanks to help from their coaches, they are both sore but smiling as Alessandra gives Miranda a hug to show no hard feelings.

Returning to their corners to be patched up, the Girls Friday corner looks sombre about what happened, not much being said as Alessandra just nods when Taryn tells her she missed her chance in the fifth to end things.

Across the ring the mood is much more happier, Miranda getting pats on the back from her corner crew, Nikki telling her "I honestly never doubted you, even when you went down you are just that damn good I didn't fear you losing" Miranda joking at least one of them felt that way, making all in the corner laugh.

Coming to the center of the ring, the BBU executive places the title around Miranda's waist as Alessandra raises her right hand in the air, a passing of the mantle at the top here tonight, Alessandra telling Miranda "I hope you challenge my records babe, show everyone why you are the best around" making Miranda tear up as they embrace.

Alessandra then leaves the ring to a round of applause, she blows kisses to the crowd, not looking too upset by losing, making some wonder how much hunger she has left in her for success, the record breaker in this division, what is next for her?

Back in the ring Miranda lifts up the title in her right hand above her head, roaring to the fans as they chant her name, no doubt who the undisputed queen of the BBU lightweight division is right now.

Leaving the ring, Miranda places the title on her right shoulder, the first reign she vacated the title, will this time be different or will history repeated itself? Already the media want to hear what is in store with the new BBU champion of the world.
