Intro:
Now we have a fight between a possible future champion and a former champion, Damaris Lewis and Joan Smalls are two big hitters wanting to find themselves in the title picture.

Going into the fight both kept their heads mostly down, knowing the importance of a win over the other, reporters only catching glimpses of them heading into gyms looking in good moods.

Finally before the fight they stepped onto the set of the BBU TV network, Denise Van Outen interviewed each separately about the bout, Damaris on first wearing a navy blue dress with a short skirt, along with matching heels.

Patting down her dress as she sits down, Damaris tells Denise "so finally I get a shot at the supposed great Joan, I have heard so much about her run around here, how I should look to her for inspiration in my own way of fighting"

Leaning forwards, the proud model continues "do you think I need to copy her? I know I am better then her, I have been dying for a chance to lay my fists on her, prove the fact that she should be looking to be like me, not the other way around"

Denise asks if she beats Joan, does that mean she should get a title shot, laughing before she answers "I should already be getting a shot, once I step over the knocked out body of Joan, I want my shot" Damaris clenching her fists before she smiles and heads off the set.

Joan then heads onto the set, she is wearing a red dress with matching heels, a big smile on her face as she shakes the hand of Denise before she sits down.

"I heard Damaris say I should be more like her (laughing) you know my record as everyone does, some peoples egos I guess make them believe what they want" Joan says looking in a good mood.

The former champion adds "I am sick to be honest of these bytches who brag and haven't done anything, she is building a good career I'll admit, right now though she is a nobody and I'll keep her one" smirking as she stands up and nods to Denise before leaving.

The fight is taking place on Muscle Beach in America, the ring posts set up on the beach itself, no crowds just two cameramen and the judges table nearby.

First onto the beach comes Damaris with her coach, she struts onto the sand with a confident grin on her face, her coach telling her to smash Joan around till she either is out cold or quits.

After getting into the ring and heading to her corner, Damaris is wearing a navy blue bikini, matching gloves, while her hair is tied back into a ponytail.

Now out comes Joan with coach Rebecca Romijn and cut woman Eva Carneiro, she has her eyes firmly on the ring as she looks all business, wanting to shut up Damaris it seems.

She steps into the ring and heads to her corner, wearing a black bikini with a floral pattern on, purple gloves, while her hair is tied back into a braid, Rebecca rubbing her shoulders as she whispers something into Smalls ear.

The fighters come together at the center for the final instructions, neither blinking as they stare hard into their opponent's eyes, no hint of fear for the others power.

The touch of gloves is a hard one, a crack of leather heard before they return to their corners, gumshields are in as they are both ready to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Kicking off the fight up on their toes, circling around each other with their piston like jabs smacking into cheeks, looking to get the range right for their big right hand.

Damaris is the first to swing it, missing though as Joan steps back, landing a double jab into the American's face, moving around Lewis as she looks to work in space.

The younger fighter looking a little too keen to take the head off of Joan, leading to mistakes that the former champion exploits with cross punches after dodging shots.

As they get into the final minute, Joan lands a jab/straight to push back her opponent, following with two left crosses as Damaris is shoved back behind her guard near the ropes.

Soon the round comes to a close, Damaris mouthing "f***" as she turns to her corner, her coach telling her to put her punches together better, use the jab to set up the right.

Round 2:
Doing as she was told; Damaris is matching up well with Joan's jab, both landing stiff rights across cheeks, some going into body as they move in closer.

Using her left to nudge back Joan, Damaris lands a right uppercut to knock back the veteran, beginning to press her back towards a corner with two more straight punches into her face.

With Joan trying to fight back at first, the two fighters going hammer and tongs, Damaris winning the exchange as Joan can't pull back her punches as far, leading to the Puerto Rican fighters head getting knocked back.

Forcing Joan to pull Damaris into a clinch, both pushing against the other as their feet dig into the sand, an early test of strength as the referee struggles to pry them apart.

Once they are broken apart, Damaris again tries to press her advantage, missing with a left cross as Joan leans out the way, with an uppercut from Joan now knocking back Damaris.

The final minute seeing Joan press back Damaris onto the ropes, again both let their fists fly as they slug it out, the difference being Joan is winning these exchanges as now Damaris can't pull back on her punches as much.

At the bell both scowl at their opponent before they head to their corners, Joan now looking annoyed as she sits down, knowing even with her late rally that round probably went by the wayside.

Round 3:
Planting their feet more in these exchanges, heads getting turned from hooks to cheeks, barks ringing out as they slug it out in the opening thirty seconds.

Changing up her tactics, Joan feints with her left up top, landing the real double jab into the abs of Damaris, with an overhand right landing to the younger woman's jaw to push her backwards.

Herding Damaris around the outside part of the ring, Joan is keeping her rival on the back foot, drilling punches into gaps in the guard of Lewis to make her groan out.

Damaris catches Joan coming in with a left hook, timing her attacks better as she fights her way back to the center, heads grind as they work the others body.

Things become a little scruffy as shoulders and forearms are used to try to disrupt their opponent, uppercuts starting to fly in as coaches will them on.

At the bell they push apart, cheeks starting to look a little rosy from the punches they've taken, turning back to their corners with annoyed looks on their beautiful faces.

Round 4:
After a little standing to trade, they throw in some jabs as they try to find an answer to the questions their opponent is asking them, leading to them moving a little more while trading single punches.

After the opening minute Damaris jams a straight into the mouth of Joan, followed by a left hook that knocks back Smalls a step, while stepping after the older woman herself.

Taking the center of the ring, Damaris is controlling her spot with head hunting punches keeping Joan on the outside, making her cry out when she busts open the bottom lip of the Puerto Rican.

Who with less then a minute to go, finds her way to the inside after parrying a right, landing two hooks to the body, just missing with an uppercut as Lewis leans out the way.

The final moments of the round sees both stand to trade, barking with effort before groaning each time they get hit clean, sweat flying off of heads as they are landing hard shots.

At the end of the round, both just hold back as they stare daggers, blood running down the chin of Joan from her lip, the referee stepping between them to make sure it doesn't kick off again.

Round 5:
Kicking off the round more on the front foot, Damaris double jabbing Joan into her mouth, taking the ring center like the last round again, outworking the former champion from the start.

Forcing Joan to cover up more tightly, with Damaris sticking to attacking the head of Joan, becoming maybe a little too predictable as after the opening minute Joan finds a way around a jab to smack Damaris with an overhand right to her jaw.

Joan pressing back Damaris as she works the body, head down as she bullies back the Garnet's Gunners fighter to the ropes, throwing uppercuts that knock back the head of Lewis to the delight of her coach.

Pushing back Joan as they have less then a minute to go, things get scruffy as they desperately try to win the game, using their left to shove the other, throwing hooks and uppercuts as they brawl on the inside.

At the bell they shove each other, referee risks their health to get between them, heated words being exchanged before they calm down enough to return to their corners, a tight round to call as both are giving their all to win this.

Round 6:
Coming out their corners with fire in their eyes, they trade more punches in bunches, planting their feet into the sand as Joan now busts open the bottom lip of Damaris to even things up.

Slamming a double jab/straight into the mouth of Lewis, Smalls begins to push back her opponent towards a corner, keeping the pressure on with hooks to the body when Damaris covers up.

Pushing back Joan to get off the ropes, Damaris tries to push back Joan, leading to both nearly clashing heads as they let their fists fly up close.

Slamming in her left forearm to the chest of Lewis to knock her back, the referee warns Joan as some frustration seems to be bleeding through the normally more poker faced Smalls.

With moments left in the round, Damaris catches Joan with a left hook/straight to send sweat and blood flying, knocking back Smalls towards the ropes with a flurry of punches knocking back her head.

The bell rings to end the round with Joan looking over to her corner looking annoyed, Rebecca trying to calm down Joan to get her focusing again.

Across the ring Damaris nods to her coach, not looking too happy herself as both are used to bullying a rival, they are meeting an equally hard hitting rival.

Round 7:
Fighting around the center of the ring, both throwing their big right hooks that just miss, trying to take the heads of their rival, eyes locked behind their gloves full of hate.

Drilling a jab into the mouth of Joan, Damaris follows up with an uppercut that lands flush, making Joan stumble back a few steps, A RIGHT HOOK LANDS FLUSH ON THE CHIN OF SMALLS, GUMSHIELD GOES FLYING OUT AS DOWN GOES JOAN TO HER BACK IN THE SAND!

Raising her arms into the air, Damaris smirks as she looks down at Joan, referee pushing her to the neutral corner, she jogs over to it with her eyes locked onto Joan.

1...2...3...4.. Joan is laying spread eagle with her eyes shut, 5...6...7.. The referee looks over Joan, SEEING SHE IS KNOCKED CLEAN OUT, THE REFEREE WAVES IT OFF SAYING SHE IS KNOCKED OUT!

Winner Damaris Lewis KO Round 7

After:
Possibly the biggest win of her young career, Damaris pounds her chest with her right as she yells "that's it bytch! I own your ass!" At the out cold Joan.

Rebecca rushes into the ring with Eva, putting smelling salts under her fighters nose to stir her awake, soon enough Joan's eyes open as she splutters awake.

Over comes Damaris as she tosses her gloves aside, pushing Eva and Rebecca away so she can stand over Joan, pointing at her as she says "I f***ing told you I am better you bytch!" With Rebecca shoving Damaris back.

A shoving match breaks out as Eva and Damaris's coach rush over to break apart Rebecca and Damaris's coach to keep them from fighting, especially as they trade insults as tempers are boiling over.

Joan slowly sits up, with Rebecca getting Eva's help to get up Joan to her feet, before they help her get out the ring as Damaris says "next time I will have that bytch kissing my feet" with Rebecca giving her a middle finger response.

Off the beach heads the Girls Friday crew, their tails between their legs as Joan still looks badly dazed, the former champion maybe meeting resistance in the new breed of fighters coming into the division.

Inside the ring Damaris calms down, celebrating as she poses at the center of the ring hands on her hips, watching Joan go with a smug look over this impressive win.

The referee raises her right hand in the air as Damaris smirks, she tells the cameras filming "I'm the best in the world, screw all those fake bytches!" Flexing her right arm to show off her toned bicep.

Heading out the ring, Damaris tells her coach "keep bringing them on for me to knock out" laughing when her coach says they'll line them up for her, this is a breakout year for Damaris who seems to have champion potential.
