These two 29 year olds are both feisty, and fightfans are looking forward to seeing them fight, Amanda making her second appearance in the ring, after beating Gemma Bissix on her debut, with Charlotte having her eighth fight

Round 1
Both girls have started in a very aggressive mode, and they’re already landing solid punches in the early exchanges, with Amanda starting strongly, jolting the Geordie’s head backwards, as she moves silkily across the canvas, but Charlotte thumps her hard in the ribs, then gives her a booming punch to her flank, and now she’s gaining the advantage, and working Amanda around the ring, pressing her, and making her work hard to keep those bodypunches at bay, but Charlotte’s trying to press the Mancunian backwards into the ropes, although Amanda’s standing her ground bravely, trying not to show how much Charlotte’s punches have hurt her, but she knows how hard the Geordie can punch now

Round 2
The girls are both quick to get stuck in again, Amanda landing a neat left jab and right cross combination in the first exchange, but Charlotte takes those, and whips a good left hook into Amanda’s liver, and follows up with a series of good punches to her face, and a hard right hook to the cheek as Charlotte presses forwards has Amanda wilting, and the Mancunian seems to be in trouble as we get mid way through the round, Charlotte’s right hook constantly whipping into her face, and she’s beginning to show some signs of swelling around her left cheek, staggers backwards, finds herself backed into the ropes, and Charlotte drops her to the canvas with a sound combination, two right cross and a left hook, and Amanda still looks fragile when she gets up at 7, her breathing laboured, but Charlotte’s running out of time if she wants to finish her off 

Round 3
Bristling with aggression, Charlotte comes after Amanda immediately, but the Manchester babe stands firm and beats her backwards with good punches, solid ones to her face with her right and left hands, shocking the Geordie, who clearly thought she was on a winner, and now they clash again, swapping some hefty punches, both girls having their heads knocked from side to side, the snot and sweat flying from their faces, Charlotte getting that right hook to land on Amanda’s swollen cheek, but she’s the one who gets hurt this time, with Amanda’s punches more accurate, and she’s homing in on the soft tissue around Charlotte’s eyes, the Geordie girl beginning to look ragged

Round 4
Charlotte’s face needed attention between rounds, and certainly it’s Amanda who looks the more aggressive again this time, and she rocks Charlotte with a pair of hooks, right first, then a left, and now the girls trade punches in close, each landing to the body, and Amanda’s hurt Charlotte with a solid straight right to her belly, making her stoop, and she’s vulnerable now, the girls clinching after some more hard shots from Amanda to Charlotte’s face, and Charlotte comes away from that clinch bleeding from her left eyebrow, sliced open by a chopping right hand from Amanda, who works on the damage with a couple of right hooks, then hits her to the body again, switches back to her face, and in the closing seconds, Amanda puts Charlotte down with a left hook, the girl getting up at 6, her face streaked with blood

Round 5
The referee has checked on Charlotte, making sure she can see enough to fight one, and her seconds have done a good job on that badly gashed eyebrow, patching her up to be able to come out for round 5, but Amanda’s causing her more problems now, thumping her in the ribs a few times, and Amanda soon opens up her cut eye, and Charlotte sags at the knees when the Manunian hits her agin, this time a solid shot to her mouth which almost floors her, Charlotte backed into a neutral corner now, as Amanda kind of toys with her, feinting to her face with a left hook, then hitting her in the liver instead, Charlotte in pain and Amanda knocks her down again with a left hook, Charlotte on her feet at 8, but she should have stayed down, because she’s getting hammered and she goes down again, another left hook to her cheek, but still she beats the count, up at 8 again, but the referee stops the fight, waving his arms and cradling the brave Charlotte

Result: Amanda Clapham stopped Charlotte Crosby in round 5

Amanda is certainly a good scrapper, but whether she would have beaten Charlotte without that cut is open to question
