Intro:
The first of our four title fights that sees undefeated Catalina Otalvaro get her shot at the BBU bantamweight, Alice Eve makes her first defence and will be hoping to take the zero from her challengers record.

Australia's Gold Coast is the venue for this hotly anticipated fight, Catalina beat a former BBU bantamweight champion in Dorota Rabczewska to go an impressive five wins undefeated just this calendar year.

Alice meanwhile has also had a stellar year, winning this years Contender Six tournament without losing a fight in it, then going on to dethrone Daisy Ridley in a great fight three months ago to claim the title she proudly wears.

Before the fight both women stepped onto the beach they are going to fight on for the weigh in and press conference, both step onto it wearing sarongs, Catalina's is a Columbian flag patterned sarong, Alice's is a union Jack one.

Coming together for the face off, both fighters touch noses as they are both very similar in builds, eyes locked in an intense stare as neither looks at all scared by what they will be fighting.

Separating as they pull off their sarongs to drop them to the beach, Catalina heads over to the scales, stepping onto them wearing a yellow bikini, she signals she is going to have the belt across her toned waist as she comes in a 115lbs.

Alice then gets her chance on the scales, she is wearing a navy blue bikini as she raises her index finger on her right hand, saying "I am the number one" while looking at her challenger, she weighs in exactly the same weight to show how close they really are.

Getting microphones each, the first to speak is Catalina as she tells the press "I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me as I wouldn't be here if not for my friends, family and my coach" smiling at her coach.

Before turning to look at Alice, her expression turning cold as she tells her "now to you honey, I know you are a tough fighter but you have something of mine, I've heard all those saying I am getting this shit too soon, every time I have stepped up I have proven my class, this won't be any different"

Alice nods through Catalina's speech, replying "I picked you because you are the best challenger I could pick, you have torn through the division to get to this point" Catalina smirking at that.

"The thing is though that I am going to have to break your streak, I worked my arse off after years of training, bleeding and sweating for this sport, you are not going to take my title" Alice tells Catalina as the mood turns a little more colder.

A few heated words are exchanged before they decide it's better to wait till fighting time, turning away from each other to head off the beach, Alice getting her BBU title off her manager/coach Nicole Ritchie.

Fighting time, the ring posts are set directly onto the beach, with no crowd to watch, just the judges table near and two cameramen around the ring to stream the fight on PPV.

Out onto the beach first comes Catalina with her coach behind her, the model struts as if she is on a catwalk, walking around the ring so the cameras can capture all her beauty before she slides through the ropes into the ring.

Settling into her corner, Catalina is wearing a yellow bikini with red trim, red gloves, while her hair is tied back into a ponytail, she listens to her coach on the game plan as they await her opponent.

They don't have to wait long as Alice heads onto the beach with Nicole holding up the title, she eyes up Catalina as she heads towards the ring.

Getting into the ring, Alice heads to her corner wearing a baby blue bikini with matching gloves, her hair is also tied into a ponytail, bouncing on her toes as Nicole tells her to show why she is the best in the division.

The fighters step together at the ring center, going eye to eye as the referee goes through their final instructions, the fighters don't say a word as they look all business.

Told to touch gloves, they thud their gloves into their opponent's before they return to their corners, gumshields are put in before the bell rings to start 10 rounds of BBU bantamweight title action.

Round 1:
"Ding" stepping out their corners trading probing punches to start, testing each others defences out as plenty of respect is shown over the first thirty seconds.

It is Alice who lands the first combination, a double jab to the mouth of Catalina is followed by a left cross to her cheek, Alice just gets out the way of a left cross in time.

The challenger looks a little tense, not throwing much back at Alice, getting caught with several clean punches to her face, along with ones testing her abs out.

A straight/left cross pushes back Otalvaro to the outside of the ring, with the ropes near her back, it seems to spur the challenger on as she comes on harder now.

Heads down when they both work in tight, this seems to suit Catalina more as she begins to back Alice up with hard digging body shots, the round soon coming to an end with Catalina not looking too happy with herself after that start.

Round 2:
Coming back out with more gusto, Catalina let's her hands go more to match Alice in the opening moments of the round, cheeks getting clubbed by cross punches when they plant their feet.

Alice again lands the cleaner punches after slipping a straight, showing off her hand speed along with her upper body movement, aiming most of her punches into the jaw of her opponent.

After the opening minute though Alice gets caught with a right hook, a double jab knocks back the head of the actress, who groans as she is now knocked back by the hard hitting Otalvaro.

Along the ropes goes Eve covering up more, Catalina now opening up as she looks in control, Alice only able to land single punches out her guard, showing off a staunch defence but still getting clipped by hard shots.

Trying to work her way off the ropes, Alice tries to throw straight punches that opens her up to a right to her ear, a left cross lands to her jaw to turn her head.

Soon enough the round ends with Catalina nodding to her coach, who tells her to keep Alice near the ropes, across the ring Alice looks relaxed still, too experienced to let herself get frustrated by just one bad round.

Round 3:
Both circle early on trading jabs as they look to land their bigger shots, Catalina just misses with an overhand right as she tries to close the gap, leading to her eating a left to her ribs, then a straight to the body.

After it looks like Alice is going to take control with her counter punching, she gets caught with a left to her mouth, a right cross bangs across her jaw to make her retreat back.

Trading more combinations as they continue to fight around the center of the ring, one starts to push the other back before they find themselves going back the other way.

They nearly clash heads with less then a minute to go, Alice lands an uppercut when they step back, Catalina lands her own right hook when Alice tries to push forwards.

The round comes to a close with both women staring through their opponent, heading past each other to return to their corners, knowing they are in for a tough test.

Round 4:
Drilling punches into gaps in their opponent's defenses, neither seems able to gain control of things in the early going, knocking back heads when they land clean.

A missed right by Otalvaro leaves her open to a counter left hook to the body, then landing an uppercut to knock back the challenger to her heels.

Finally giving Alice control of the round, bashing back Catalina into a corner, keeping her head down as she swings away to the body till she ends up getting clinched up, forcing the referee to break them apart.

Keeping on the attack, Alice switching up her targets to keep Catalina guessing where the punches are going to come from, judging by her smile she is especially enjoying hearing Otalvaro groan when she lands to the body.

Late in the round, a left cross catches Alice before a straight lands to her nose, covering up more as the Latin fighter is moving inside, paying back the older fighter with her own hooks to the body.

At the bell they separate and turn on their heels back to their corners, eyes locked across the ring as the intensity levels seem to be going up a notch, coaches wiping down the reddened cheeks of their fighter as they tell them what they expect.

Round 5:
Stepping back out with eyes locked behind their gloves, both are throwing more punches in volume now, Catalina stalking Alice down more as they fight around the ring.

When Alice tries to close the gap, she takes a left hook to her jaw, a straight snaps her head back as Catalina goes in hard on the champion, knocking her head back with sweat flying off it.

A right cross by Alice misses as Otalvaro leans out the way, a counter right to the jaw of Eve looks to have rocked her, she covers up more tightly as Catalina presses forwards with punches clean to the face.

Needing to clinch up to stop the assault, Alice's bottom lip looks swollen as she shakes her head of cobwebs, Catalina digging away to the left kidney of Eve to make her wince.

Pulled apart by the referee, Alice is working more on the back foot, trying to keep the gap between the fighters, Catalina stalking her around the ring with both landing stiff shots to the joy of the fans.

At the conclusion of the round, Catalina proving that she can hurt Alice with her raw power, her coach praising her as they discuss what happened.

Across the ring Alice is told to fight with her brain, don't leave herself open due to that strength of her challenger, with Alice nodding as she gets her face washed down.

Round 6:
Looking to get into the face of Alice straight away, Catalina coming in too quickly as she misses with a straight that the champion dips under, a counter right lands to the liver of Catalina, wincing as she gasps out.

A left hook bashes Catalina to her ear with an uppercut knocking her back to her heels, ANOTHER LIVER SHOT MAKES CATALINA CRY OUT AS SHE FALLS TO HER KNEES!

Spitting her gumshield out before she goes to all fours, Catalina looking badly hurt, 1...2...3...4.. Alice watches closely in the neutral corner, 5...6...7... But Catalina is sucking in air as 8...9...10 she is counted out!

Winner and still BBU bantamweight champion Alice Eve KO Round 6

After:
An impressive finish from Alice sees her keep her title, she jumps up with a big smile on her face, Nicole rushes into the ring to hug Alice with both beaming.

Catalina is helped up to her knees, an ice pack on her body as she looks upset, her coach pats her on the shoulder as they tell her to not get too downbeat, she gave a great fight to the champ.

Who comes over to her, Alice says "good fight honey" with a nod of respect, then returns to her corner to celebrate as Catalina stares down at the canvas, the words from Eve not looking to help Otalvaro too much.

Getting to her feet, Catalina yells at Alice as she holds her body "I'll knock you out next time!" Alice turning back around to stare hard at her, maybe realising that Catalina won't accept this loss that simple.

As Catalina leaves the ring, she tells her coach that she will get that title, a smile on her coach shows they are happy to hear that she won't let this loss set her back.

While in the ring Alice gets her hand raised by the referee, Nicole places the title around her waist, Alice poses for the cameras with her arms in the air along with a big smile.

Soon after she leaves the ring with Nicole, both women talking about possible next challengers, Alice then points out that she has champagne in her hotel ready for them to celebrate tonight.
