Megan Fox vs Sarah Carter II

BEFORE:
This rematch is over 13 years in the making as Megan Fox seeks revenge for her Unanimous Decision defeat the last time she met Sarah Carter back in 2007.

Both ladies have come a long way in their respective fields, with Fox winning a title and Sarah of course considered a multi-time champion herself.

"I've clearly evolved as a fighter. I'm not the same girl Sarah fought all those years ago. Carter took advantage of my inexperience, but tonight, she's in for a rude awakening," Fox tells reporters earlier at the press conference.

Carter equally dismissive as she shakes her head from the other side of the room, a smirk on her face as she responds:

"I recall Fox was equally 'confident' of her abilities back when we first fought. And in the end, she still came up short. She can talk big all she wants, but it's not going to make any difference."

Ladies meet at the podium and blonde and brunette are of the same height, but Carter packing a little more bulk in her frame. They don't say another word to each other even though their lips are almost touching, fists raised confidently in both directions.

Hours later, Fox in the ring, in a traditional black bikini and red gloves, black hair tied in a ponytail. Carter going for a sunshine yellow bikini, unveiling a white bottom after she unfastens and flourishes a beach towel around her waist. Referee waves for the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Megan makes good on her promise early, wide shots sent at Sarah’s guard, headhunting the blonde back as she takes ground in the first minute, eliciting grunts from Sarah’s lips as one or two or three shots sting her face repeatedly. Carter’s beginning to realise that she really is fighting against a new breed of woman as she struggles to keep up, getting herself out of range of Fox’s punches, to no avail. Fox cuts her off to the left and right, combos sent into the arms or forehead, then slammed into the body for punctuation. Sarah barely manages a jab back or two throughout the entire round, not able to keep up with the younger woman’s vigour.

ROUND 2:
Fox is still salty over the fact that she hasn’t been offered another shot at the Flyweight belts. These recent routs of girls like Vanessa Hudgens and Kate Mara determined to prove her point that she can take any girl, stablemate or not. But she’s in for a rude awakening herself as Sarah catches her on the face with a right hand, then another one-two combo dings the nose before Fox hones her defences. It’s a wake-up call right there for the Vixen, who’s kicking herself for taking her eyes off the prize. Carter, repaying the favour from the last round, knocks punches into Megan’s toned tummy to garner grunts from her lips, then more heavy blasts sent into her arms to send her reeling dangerously to the side. Thankfully, Fox stays at a distance, battles back with long hands extended into Carter’s face in the final minute, keeping her chances alive till the bell.

ROUND 3:
Megan roars back, dominates the first minute with plenty of warning-swings and fast starts towards Sarah, showing a smirk when Carter immediately ducks backwards in retreat to avoid her charge. Fox lands her shots as well though, hooks thrown first followed by rapid flurries of jabs and straights fired at Carter’s head, this reverse-combo strategy appears to work as Sarah can’t defend what she can’t predict. Carter groaning as another hook slams into the side of her head, throws her briefly to the side in pain. Fox tries to finish her off but gets a mouthful of leather as well when Sarah shoots a reflex glove out and through her guard. Ladies reset at corners and end the round with an exchange of fast hands in either direction. A close round to Fox from her early investments.

ROUND 4:
Carter’s power however not to be underestimated. Fox tries the same strategy as last time, wading in slow and steady with jabs before leaping into action with a straight cross to the arms, followed by a looping hook at the head for a knockdown. Carter used to this tactic by now, leaps out of the way of the incoming swing, POWERS her own right hand into the actress’ face from the side in a cruel reversal of fortunes! OUCH! Megan’s face whipped to the side, and she stands there looking comically stunned for a moment, then forced back to reality as Carter storms in to inflict more punishment. Suddenly, the tides have turned, with Fox sent on the retreat and the wiley blonde chasing after her. But Megan keeps calm, her head hidden away behind a closed guard, body taking a beating from multiple jabs sunk in but otherwise comes out alive of the fourth.

ROUND 5:
Sarah with another soiree forward, eager to punt the brunette’s head to the side and perhaps send her down to the canvas like last time. Fox however has other ideas, scooting backwards to give the charging blonde as much space as required, takes a couple of punches to her arms but otherwise keeps herself well defended. She’s tiring Carter out fast as the Foxfire girl’s stubbornness means she doesn’t sense that her tactics aren’t working. Fox begins to fire back with blows of her own, counter-jabs tagging Carter on the cheek or bashed into her side to draw painful grunts. Carter slows down by the third minute but definitely not by choice, panting hard as she continues her useless quest. Fox slaps another one-two quick hands into her face, and that seems to have wobbled her!! Carter groans, arms wavering over her head as the punches sail in unabated, Fox picking her targets with precision and then slamming her gloves inwards, a final BASH right to the chin seems to have done it: Carter’s strings CUT as the older woman collapses down to the canvas!! Referee gives her the benefit of a 10-count but Sarah makes no move to get off her back - it’s all over!

Official Decision: Megan Fox defeats Sarah Carter via KO5!

AFTER:
Redemption for Fox tonight at an early but disappointing loss in her career. Thus far, she’s gone on to greater things, and that’s exactly what she’ll tell you as well if asked post-fight:

“I can’t keep settling old scores, you know,” Fox smiles at reporters, her face glistening with sweat. “Whether it’s Lily, Natalie or some other girl holding the Flyweight title, I’m coming back for it at some point in the future. So they’d better be ready!”

Carter on the other hand has to be revived by smelling salts, her fight team hovering nearby the entire way as the older fighter nears her Cougar status sooner or later. Gracious to the end, however, Carter offers Fox her congratulations after the excitement has died down in the ring, to which Megan accepts, the two women sharing an embrace on the ropes to the cheers of the crowd.
