Elodie Frege vs. Elizabeth Olsen

(Words: Front Street / Results: Lookout!)

BEFORE:

Olsen coming into this one on quite the roll, having beaten Ratajkowski, Kosarin and Lilly and lost in twelve to champion Thorne in her last four. And, the blonde is allowing no illusions about where this is headed. "She's not in my league," says Elizabeth. "It's that simple. I'm not going to be challenged tonight."

"She is ABSOLUTELY going to be challenged tonight," says a hard-eyed Frege. "I've fought better fighters than Elizabeth. And, I've BEATEN better fighters than Elizabeth."

ROUND ONE:

Olsen right after Frege and, quickly, one begins to wonder if the blonde's watched any video at all coming in to this one. Because, all that aggressiveness leads to the redhead going into the pocket on the ropes. Which leads to MORE aggression from the blonde, who ups the ante, falling right into the French beauty's trap. Elodie plays the pocket perfectly, blocking, slipping, rolling with, and filling all the openings being created by Olsen's punches with sharp, accurate counters. Elizabeth keeps firing way, but it's very counterproductive, as Frege's getting the better of things in a big way, even backing the blonde up a couple of times with hard right hands. When the bell rings, there's no doubt about the results of the first. It's Frege wide and up 10-9.

ROUND TWO:

Olsen plays it smarter. She sets up at range and decides to box with. French beauty has ZERO problem playing this game. Elodie's slick with quick hands, and she gives as good as she gets despite giving away a bit of reach to the American. For Elizabeth's part, she's getting more done on these terms. She's getting punches put together, landing more shot, getting some effective offense going. It's two-way all the way, with neither fighter gaining a real advantage and both having moments where it looks like they might. No one's hurt and everyone's happy with terms, so both blonde and redhead continue working the same way until the bell sounds ending the stanza. And, while neither blonde nor redhead can go back to her corner confident of having claimed the points, Olsen's done so narrowly and evened things at 19.

ROUND THREE:

Third verse, same as the second. Women boxing at range in the middle of the ring. Lots of stuff for purists to like in this round, just like in the second. Heads, hands, feet, all moving. Ladies playing angles, working geometry. Frege showing some great slickness at getting to spots and then putting quick flurries together, while Olsen's jab is a terrific weapon, stopping and holding Frege for nice combinations from the blonde. Again, nobody's hurt, but that doesn't mean heavy leather isn't landing. Heads are snapped back and sweat is sent flying again and again as both fighters work hard for the entire three minutes trying to claim the points. When time expires and the ladies head back to their respective corners, it's very close again, but it's Frege, who forges back into the lead 29-28.

ROUND FOUR:

Boxing at range again and both women having their moments. Olsen a little quicker, Frege a little slicker. All boils down to pretty even stuff until...BOOM! Straight right hand, ELIZABETH and ELODIE IS HURT! Frege stumbles backward, nearly goes down and Olsen is all in, hammering the redhead with heavy leather, driving her back to the ropes. Frege in the pocket now, and Olsen working body, then going upstairs, more cautious this time, wary of the counter. French beauty taking beating, hanging on, not doing much. Blonde looks one punch from finishing it, and she tries to find that punch, but can't do it Elodie able to slip and roll with and block enough of the heavy fire to ride it out to the bell. When it rings, Olsen's grabbed the round wide and evened things at 38.

ROUND FIVE:

Olsen pressing now, backing up a wobbly-legged Elodie with hard shot. Frege keeping the guard high, countering here and there, trying to play for time, ends up on the ropes and working from the pocket. Again, the redhead does so well, blocking, rolling with, slipping, but there's so much fire coming from Olsen that some of it gets through. Too much of it. A right hook wobbles Elodie's legs and then a three-punch combination snaps back her head and DOWN GOES FREGE! Elodie noses in at Elizabeth's feet! Olsen to a neutral corner to watch and wait. Frege pushes up to right elbow and haunch at six, gets to all fours at eight, but can get no further! She's still on hands and knees when the count passes her by and it's OVER! And, your winner by KO5 is Elizabeth Olsen!

AFTER:

Olsen all smiles in the post-fight. "I told you," the blonde says with a smile. "She's not a bad fighter, but she's not in my LEAGUE, and she's no challenge at all for me! I play in the big leagues, and I'm going to prove what a lot of people already know and won't admit, I'm the best bantam in the world!"
