Before:

Tonight’s lightweight action sees Foxfire’s Sophie Turner looking to avoid getting swept by the Fates lightweights as she faces off against Taylor Swift. Sophie may have lost in her title fight earlier in the year against Swift’s stablemate Emily DiDonato, but a victory against Taylor tonight would almost guarantee the redhead a title opportunity in the near future.

“Obviously, there is the goal of not getting swept,” Sophie tells the press, “and then there is getting your name into the title picture when you beat Taylor. Obviously, she’s one of the best in the league. But I think I can take her.”

Swift merely laughs when she hears what Turner had to say, coldly responding, “Please, she went 7-0 last year and is now 3-3 this year. She’s not in my league.”

Taylor Swift is the first girl to make her way to the ring, the blonde girl removing her robe to reveal a black sports bra and matching trunks with red gloves. Sophie Turner steps out moments later, and the redhead has opted for an orange top and blue trunks, which blue gloves with orange trim. The English actress steps in the ring and her American foe gets right in her face. The ref asks the two to touch gloves, and while Sophie raises hers, Taylor merely shakes her head and retreats to the astonishment of the crowd. Sophie shrugs and the ref just calls for the bell.



Round 1:

Taylor goes right for the younger girl, sticking the redheaded actress with a right straight to the mouth before burying a left into Sophie’s gut. Turner’s response flies out wide of the blonde singer’s head and leaves herself vulnerable to two straight rights from Swift, and the blonde American girl is just feeding punches to her British opponent early. Sophie backs off and Taylor pursues, landing a glancing blow to the actress’ chin, but Turner plants her feet and nails Swift in her nose, briefly stunning the blonde and allowing the younger girl to land a follow-up blow to the singer’s right cheek. Taylor comes right back with a revenge right hook and gets all of Sophie’s jaw, knocking the actress back into the ropes. Taylor quickly pounces on Sophie in the ropes, hammering away at the actress’ body as time dwindles in the round, which comes to a quick end, fortunately for Sophie. Swift unquestionably in control of the first, and the blonde former champ takes the lead early.



Round 2:

Swift quickly gets out of her corner to start the second round and chases after Turner, sending a right at the actress’ face that the younger girl barely dodges before crashing a right into Taylor’s jaw. Swift recoils and Turner snaps the singer’s head backwards with a straight left before hammering the blonde’s chest with a right that makes an audible thump. Sophie advances on the singer as Taylor squirms, protecting her head as Sophie just pounds her body, the thump thump thump of her blows echoing off the singer’s body as she works Taylor into the ropes. Swift lashes out with a quick left to Sophie’s jaw, but Turner comes right back with a left to the singer’s face and then smashes a right into her guard. Taylor quick on the clinch and forces a break. When the action resumes, Taylor keeps her distance from Sophie, leveraging her extra reach to ward off the English actress until the bell. Turner goes back to her corner hiding a grin on her face, knowing that she shutout the singer in the second round.



Round 3:

Sophie goes right back after Taylor as she feints right and sticks the singer with a left right out of the gates. Swift takes a half step backwards and shoots out a right jab that hits Turner in her cheek, but the Brit takes the blow and rocks the American with a right hook and Taylor has a blank look on her face as Sophie just pounds her face until the singer gets her guard up, at which point the actress just goes to town on the singer’s body. Taylor’s body shaking with each blow as she struggles before finally wrapping up Sophie. The referee separates the two women and Taylor’s already breathing heavily, her face drenched in sweat while Sophie seems as spry as she was in the first round. Turner steps up and looses a right at Swift, but it bounces off of the blonde’s guard and Taylor connects with a jab to Sophie before plowing a right into her ribs. Swift steps up sensing an opportunity as Turner takes a step backwards, but the redhead plants her feet and counterpunches as Taylor’s blow misses her mark. Turner hammers Swift’s chin and the blonde’s legs give a shimmy as the bell rings! Sophie with another dominant round, and the Foxfire corner can barely hide the excitement on their faces as they’re seeing Turner absolutely taking it to one of the most dominant girls in the FCBA.



Round 4:

Taylor more aggressive than one would think given how the prior two rounds have gone, and it works for the singer as she strikes Sophie with her extra reach. Turner steps forward to close the gap between the two girls, but Swift expertly keeps her backed up with a well-placed right to the actress’ chin before burying a right into her chest, knocking the Brit backwards. Swift quickly steps up and launches two blows into Turner’s raised guard, and Sophie counterpunches, knocking Swift in her mouth and busting her lip. A bit of blood drips out of the singer’s upper lip and Sophie whips follow-up straight right into the singer’s mouth, the blood coming off onto the Brit’s gloves. Taylor lashes out with a blind right that catches Sophie, and the actress is taken aback. Swift surprised the her blow landed and takes a second before following up on Turner. Swift making good headway as she works Turner backwards until the Brit plants her feet and nails Taylor with a left hook that nearly drops her! Taylor covering up in the waning seconds as Sophie hits her body to the bell. The round goes to Taylor, but Sophie again showing that she’s not going down without a fight.



Round 5:

The fifth round open and it’s all Turner out of the gates, digging in rights and lefts into Swift’s body, the singer’s flanks turning a deeper red by the second. Taylor desperately keeping her guard up as Sophie tries to brute force the singer into oblivion. Sophie buries a right body shot into Taylor’s midriff and the blonde shouts out and takes a step backwards. British actress moving forward, striking out from range – and the American catches her in the jaw with a right. Swift springs forward pounding a right into Turner’s ribs and following up with a left to her nose that makes Sophie retreat. Taylor takes a big step forward and shoots out a right that barely misses the redhead’s face AND BOOM! SWIFT’S HEAD SNAPS BACKWARDS! Sophie lands an uppercut that drops Swift! The ref starts his count as Taylor rolls around on the canvas. The singer looks up from all fours at Sophie on the count of six, and while in fights past she would have had a look of rage, she has a look of misery. Swift hears the ref at eight and wills herself up, looking worse for wear as Turner chases after her. Sophie landing plenty of blows to Taylor’s ribs as the blonde singer just covers up and clinches, holding on to the end of the round which mercifully comes. No question as Sophie yet again comes out on top and is on the verge of scoring nothing less than an absolutely massive win.



Round 6:

Swift gets a talking to between rounds and the gist of the message is to either pick it up or be knocked out. Meanwhile, the Foxfire corner just tells Turner to keep on doing what she has been doing. Taylor gets out of her corner quickly, landing two blows as the round begins, forcing Sophie onto her back foot. The British actress retreats around the ring as the American singer gives chase, lashing out with a right that bounces off of the redhead’s gloves. Sophie quickly counters with a straight right to the blonde’s head, putting a scowl onto Taylor’s face as Turner goes to Swift’s body. Sophie slowly working Taylor backwards, just getting in body blow after body blow. Taylor dropping backwards thanks to her long legs and nails Sophie’s chin as the redhead steps forwards! Turner freezes for a second and that’s all Swift needs to bury two rights into the actress’ body before snapping her head back with an uppercut and drops Turner! The ref starts counting as Sophie shakes her head. Turner looks up and sees the ref at the count of five, and gets herself up by seven. The round comes to an end, and Swift gets her way back into the fight thanks to knocking down Sophie.



Round 7:

Swift bounding out of the Fates corner, ducking a right from Turner and burying a left into the redhead’s midriff. The Foxfire girl winces and Taylor connects with a right hook that buckles Sophie’s legs but the Brit stays up! Sophie Turner giving up her body as she covers her head and Taylor Swift is going to town on the British girl’s body, hammering blows into her trunk. Turner wraps her arms around Swift briefly before letting go and sticking a quick left into the singer’s upper lip, reopening it. Sophie leaps forward, hitting the blonde with a right hook as Taylor retreats. Turner closes distance and shoots out a left but she misses and is promptly bent double by the singer as Swift buries leather into her solar plexus! Turner gasps out in agony as she nearly bends double before Swift snaps her back upright with a right uppercut. Turner stumbling around the ring as the Foxfire corner is shouting at the ref. Taylor seemingly takes her time lining up her next blows and drops Sophie with three straight rights. Turner groans as she hits the canvas and clutches her body, weakly moving around on the ground. She takes a look at the ref as he holds up “seven” in front of her face, but she doesn’t have the strength to get up. Your winner by KO7, Taylor Swift!


After:

“Not. In. My. League.” Taylor bellows as she raises her arms and parades around the ring, not even paying attention to Sophie’s exhausted form. Swift mounts the ring post, standing up on her long stems as she poses for the crowd before leaving without even going over to check on Turner. Sophie is sitting upright thanks to the help of her trainers, and eventually makes it to her feet with their help and to the applause of the crowd, before she leaves the ring, hiding tears after taking it to the former champ for five rounds before losing.

“Sophie put up a fight, but she can’t beat me.” Taylor brags afterwards, “I mean, nobody really can. I’m on the top of my game, and when that happens, nobody, and I mean nobody, can beat me.”

Several press reporters ask Taylor about her seven losses this year, but it falls on deaf ears as the singer leaves them.

Sophie’s comments are brief, and it’s clear she’s not happy with how the fight ended. “I had her early. I had her. And I lost.” Turner tells them. “When I face her again - and I will face her again - I will finish the job.”
