(Double A Boxing vs Girls Friday)

Intro:
Two veteran bantamweights fight it out tonight here on PPV, Una Healy and Sophia Bush are both looking to get back on the road to a title shot.

Una is 38 years old; she stands 5'7, holding a record of 25 wins, 19 coming by way of knockout, with 16 defeats, she is a former two time BBU bantamweight champion.

Sophia is 37 years old; she stands 5'4, holding a record of 30 wins, 28 coming by way of knockout, with 27 defeats, she is a former FCBA JMD champion.

Ironically both these women lost their last fight to title challenger Daisy Ridley in the same fashion, getting knocked out in the seventh round of competitive fights, tonight they both look to move forwards with a win.

The fighters were interviewed before the fight at their gyms, BBU TV's Denise Van Outen got word from them, with first up Denise at the Double A gym to see Una.

Who finishes working the punch bag with her coach holding the bag, she wipes her brow with a towel, then waves to Denise with a big warm smile.

"Hey Denise, I am so ready for Sophia, I have been working my arse off to get into the best shape I have been in a while" says Una tapping her abs with her green boxing glove.

She is asked about her views on Sophia, Una replies "she will be a good test, though let's be honest she has never been an elite fighter, she has one title and that's for being busty"

Adding after having a drink of water "so I expect to be back on the front foot in my career, I know people doubt I can come back to the title, I will do my best to get another belt around my waist before I am done fighting"

Across at the Girls Friday gym, Sophia is finished her session when she speaks to Denise outside the locker rooms, giving her a handshake before they begin to talk.

"Things haven't went too smoothly this year, but I am enjoying just getting to fight, I have had a mixed time the past few years for getting regular fights, things are different now" says Sophia as she looks over her stablemates training.

She turns her attention to Una, telling Denise "now I am looking forwards to getting into the ring with Una, I know her history in the BBU is well legendary, she probably will be a hall of famer someday"

Then she gets more serious as she continues "but I am so ready for her, I have boxed the best throughout my career, Una will just be another one on that long list, hopefully with a win in the column for me"

Fight night; out comes Una with her coach beside her, she is her usual focused looking self as she heads down the aisle.

She is wearing a lime green sports bra with gold trim, green trunks with a gold waistband, green shoes and gloves, her red hair is tied back into a ponytail.

Climbing through the ropes and heading to the center of the ring, Una gives the fans a quick wave before heading off to her corner, where she nods to her coach as they discuss tactics.

Sophia heads out to the ring, flanked by her coach Taryn Terrell and cut woman Eva Carneiro, she blows kisses to the crowd as she jogs down the aisle.

The American is wearing a red sports bra, stars and stripes pattern on her trunks, red shoes with white gloves, her brunette hair is tied into a braid.

Getting through the ropes, Sophia thuds her gloves together as she heads to her corner, looking more intense as she begins her warm up while Taryn tells her to put on a good show tonight.

The fighters are brought by the referee to the center of the ring, where they look each other over for the first time since they weighed in the day before, neither looking worried by what they see.

They touch gloves up respectfully before turning back to their corners, the referee is happy enough to signal for the bell to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Both are veterans of the game and it shows as neither rushes in, throwing jabs in the early going to test out the others defences.

It's Una stinging the face of her opponent more, using her extra reach to keep Sophia on the outside, when Bush tries to move in closer, Una lands a left/right straight into the face.

Sophia does manage to slip a right to get in close, using her left to bump back Una, Sophia lands an overhand right across the cheek of the Irish lass.

But when Sophia has Una near the ropes, Healy uses her left to shove her opponent to her face, landing a right hook across the cheek to force Bush back a step.

Late in the round Una lands a jab on the nose of Sophia, the following uppercut pushes back Sophia to her heels, where she is struck behind her guard up till the bell rings to end the round.

Una is hoping that late charge in the round has given her lead on the scorecards to start, her coach is happy enough though they want her to push more.

Round 2:
Now they both know what they are facing, there is more action as they let their hands go more, Una starts off faster though with her quick hands finding gaps in the guard of Sophia.

Who changes things up a little by feinting with her left as she moves more side to side, dipping under a jab to step inside with a right to the body.

Sophia looks like she wants to rough up Una on the inside, using little nudges with her left forearm when she can move in tight to the singer.

Who gives up the center of the ring, moving along the ropes drilling Sophia towards her nose to keep her at range, showing off her crisp punching that has given her two title reigns.

Missing with a straight though leaves Una open to an overhand right across her chin, Sophia knocks back her opponent onto the ropes, where she has her head down as she goes to the body.

At the bell Sophia nods over to her corner team, when she sits on her stool Taryn is telling her "that's better babe, you can't win letting her jab your lights out"

Round 3:
Bouncing on their toes as they exchange piston like punches through gaps in the others defences, Una bashes back Sophia with a jab/right cross combo.

It looks like Una has stepped up a gear, hammering Sophia more around her guard, while she is darting more side to side herself.

Though Sophia soon deflects a right aimed at her face, landing a counter right under the ribs of the redhead, followed by a left across her jaw.

Allowing the American to back up Una to the outside of the ring, trying to sling uppercuts through the guard of the former BBU champion, forcing Una to drag her into a clinch.

The referee breaks them apart, where Una catches out Sophia with a left cross/straight to knock back the smaller fighter, opening up more as she looks to keep her opponent back.

Una keeps Bush struck around the ropes, Sophia struggling to do more then land single punches, taking more punches to her cheeks to make her look miserable.

When the bell rings Una looks her usual cool self again, especially compared to Sophia, who thuds her gloves together while returning to her own corner, knowing she let Una back in charge that round.

Round 4:
As they resume; Sophia is moving her upper body more, still taking several punches to the top of her head, but she is finding more ways to get in tighter to her opponent.

Leading to more heated exchanges on the inside, it isn't pretty as they bump shoulders, Una isn't bothered about slugging it out with anyone, almost looking like she is enjoying this.

That's till Bush lands an uppercut to snap back the head of Healy, two hooks land as Sophia steps forwards, knocking back the redhead near the ropes.

Una looks to be gritting her gumshield, as Sophia targets those ribs with nasty short sharp hooks, forcing Una to pull Sophia into a front headlock.

After being broken apart; Sophia isn't going to be kept back so easily, the crowd cheering as they watch both women go toe to toe late in the round, sweat flies off them as they redden up their opponents cheeks.

At the bell they nod at each other before turning on their heels, returning to their corners where they get washed down, both knowing they are in a tough fight.

Round 5:
It seems like Sophia is finding more ways to strike on the inside, drilling more shots to the abs of Una, who is clipping the top of the brunettes head.

Feinting with her right; Sophia lands a left hook on the chin of Una, AS UNA GOES BACK A STEP, SOPHIA UNLEASHES AN UPPERCUT ON THE CHIN OF THE SINGER, THE GUMSHIELD FLIES OUT AS HEALY GOES DOWN TO HER BACK!

The crowd are stunned as Sophia raises her fists in the air, once in a neutral corner the count begins, 1...2...3...4... Una is laying spread eagle with a glassy look to her eyes, 5....6....7... The Double A coach just looks down as 8....9...10 Una is counted out!

Winner Sophia Bush KO Round 5

After:
This is a massive win for Sophia, she gets the stunning knockout and as shown by the way she is jumping for joy, this means a lot to the winner for her immediate future.

Sophia returns to her corner to be met with a big hug from Eva, Taryn just laughs as she shakes her head, telling Sophia "you two should get a room" making Eva blush as she let's go of Bush.

While the Girls Friday corner is merry, at the center of the ring it is anything but, Una is helped up after she comes fully around from being knocked out.

Heading back to her corner with help from her coach, Una has her head down, putting a towel over her head as if trying to hide herself away from the world, her coach trying to console her.

Una doesn't come to the center of the ring when asked by the referee, instead she won't look as Sophia gets her hand raised in victory.

Though happy she won; Sophia even looks worried for Una, not going over as she looks conflicted, maybe thinking it will just cause more issues then to help if she checked on Una.

Who steps out the ring looking a shell of herself, the Double A coach putting their arm around her shoulder as they try to help her, the arena almost feeling like a funeral with its quietness, maybe watching Una's elite era just end.

Inside the ring Sophia poses for the cameras, not smiling too much as she knows it could have been her feeling the same way had she lost this fight.

Sophia heads out the ring with her corner team behind her, she waves to the crowd as she goes up the aisle, looking forwards to what she hopes with be a brighter future.
