Intro:
This months main event sees two Geordie fighters meet in their hometown for the BBU flyweight title, the O2 Academy in Newcastle hosts the battle between the challenger Marnie Simpson and the champ Cheryl Cole.

Marnie is 26 years old; she stands 5'4 and holds an unbeaten record of 6 wins, all by knockout.

Cheryl is 35 years old; she stands 5'3 and holds a record of 42 wins, 37 by knockout and 23 defeats, this is the 5th title defence of her maiden BBU flyweight title run.

With this being a big event in the area, the press conference was held at St. James Park on a crispy day, both women heading onto the hollowed pitch for photos, facing off with each other and Cheryl holding the title in Marnie's face.

After the photos are done; both women are happy when they going inside to one of the clubs boxes where the press conference can truly begin.

Marnie is given the nod to speak first, straight away she goes after her opponent "Finally I get what I have been after, a shot at the title and at this f***ing fake bytch, you're only proud of where you come from when it suits you pet!"

Cheryl just smirks and shakes her head, with Marnie continuing "I am proud to be a true Geordie, I'd never leave here because this is what made me who I am, So let me speak in our native tongue and tell ya that Ah will prove ah am the best in the north east an' in the world"

The champ simply puts her title belt on the table and replies "Marnie pet, you are talkin' to the woman who got thrown off American X-Factor because they couldn't understand me, so don't talk b******s!"

"The simple fact is you are jealous; I moved out of here and am a world famous singer, I nivvor see you on the cards I go on pet for a reason" Cheryl mocks Marnie, who scowls at her.

She picks up her title and finishes by holding it above her head and finishes with "this is why I'M the best in the world! So go f*** yourself!"

Marnie doesn't take that kindly as she gets right into the face of Cheryl, both exchange insults as they look ready to blow up, security and coaches needed to pull them back.

But Marnie takes a cheap shot of sorts by tossing water from a glass at Cheryl, leading to in the commotion both getting free and go for the others hair in a snarling catfight.

Both reliving nights on the town as they tumble to the ground and security struggles to get the snarling pair apart, with them finally pulled apart and taken out the room still spitting insults at each other.

Fight night; out comes the challenger Marnie first down the aisle, stopping to bump fists with her friends Holly Hagan and Chantelle Connelly in the front row.

She is wearing a black sports bra, tight black shorts, shoes and gloves, with her hair braided for battle as she steps into the ring.

Marnie struts around the ring with her arms in the air, before pouting as she poses in the ring center to loud cheers from her friends and family.

The champ now comes out with her coach Mel B by her side, Cheryl marches down to the ring wearing a Newcastle United shirt with Cole 9 on the back.

Mel helps Cheryl take her shirt off to reveal the title around her waist and that she is wearing a black sports bra, black and white striped trunks, black shoes, black gloves with white thumbs and her hair in a ponytail.

Climbing into the ring; Cheryl poses at the center of the ring, hands on hips with the title on show as her eyes are locked on Marnie, then Mel takes the title off her and hands it to the referee as Cheryl heads to her corner to warm up.

After:
Cheryl pulls the win out after a tough fight with Marnie, the champ having to lean against the turnbuckles in the neutral corner as tiredness washes over her.

While the ringside doctor checks on Marnie, putting smelling salts under her nose to waken her up, with Marnie holding her chin as she asks what happened.

As soon as Marnie realises the answer; she starts sobbing into her gloves, with Holly Hagan and Chantelle Connelly rushing into the ring to check her.

Cheryl heads over to her corner and mocks them by saying "don't worry girls, I know you all love to be on your backs" leading to Holly standing and getting into Cheryl's face.

After some shoving; Mel gets involved to shove Holly, leading to them starting to fight to a roar from the fans as the girls trade hair pulls and slaps.

Cheryl tries to get involved and gets punched by Chantelle, leading to Lioness Club members and Cheryl's former bandmates Kimberly Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts charging the ring from the locker room.

Sarah and Kimberly tackle Chantelle down to the canvas, while Nicola pulls Holly off Mel and gets a slap for her troubles from the Geordie Shore star.

Security intervenes to separate the two warring groups, with guards lining up across the center of the ring to stop any more scuffles taking place.

All the while this was happening; Marnie was helped to her stool by her coach and had to watch the fighting as her cut eyelid was patched up.

The Geordie Shore girls help their fallen friend out the ring to the back, clearly not happy with the way things have went down.

Even as ringside pundits give Marnie a ringing endorsement after this fight, she was very close through the middle rounds of upsetting Cheryl and claiming the title.

Instead it's Cheryl in the ring getting the belt attached around her waist by her coach Mel after she tears the title out of the referees hands.

Cheryl proudly proclaiming "I'm the best fighter in this ring period!" To a lot of cheers, only a few boos from the Marnie fans.

The Lioness crew leave the ring together, looking not their usual dazzling self's due to the fighting they've all done, but all strutting up the ramp as they look to have sent a message to others stables not to f*** with them.
