BEFORE:
Challenger Havana Brown returns to action after almost four years away from the ring and nobody knows what she looks like these days. But that doesn’t diminish the girl’s standing in the eyes of the competition, with Havana having accrued a three-fight win streak over her brief career, including a win over Lookout Atlantic’s Emilia Clarke herself. 

“I know I haven’t been in the ring much over the past few years, but my record speaks for itself. I wouldn’t have thought of myself as the first choice for the Flyweight title, but if Diana’s so eager to lose her belt, I’m not complaining.” Havana grins from the table with her arms folded across her chest.

Diana of course having taken a little hiatus herself, the Siren not having fought since January herself due to the Covid-19 scare. 

“I’ve been taking some time off with friends and family. That’s why you haven’t seen me in action these past few months. But I’m back and ready to defend my belt. Brown’s action in the ring has been impressive, make no mistake - that’s why she’s getting the title shot tonight. But I don’t intend on letting a ‘nobody’ take this away from me.”

Sweet Diana sets the challenger with a heavy glare, with Havana actually the one looking calm and relaxed as they enter the ring from opposite corners. Diana in black bikini top and denim shorts and red gloves, definitely been keeping in shape during this lockdown period. Havana Brown naturally in good shape herself, with her job as a dancer; she's sporting a red bikini and yellow boxing gloves. 

Ladies touch up as the referee waves for the bell. HERE we go with ten rounds of Flyweight action! This here’s for the BBU Flyweight championship!

ROUND 1:
Diana tests Havana’s defences early, jabs and circles, wondering what the fuss and hype is with this blonde. Havana still looking cocky, arms taking the blows but ain’t troubled at this point none. Brown jabs back with a straight and accurate right hand, tagging Diana on the face and making the champ wince hard. Diana scowling after her, uncharacteristic for that pixie-innocence we’re so used to. She drives forward with more aggression, but Havana follows her footwork in tandem, the challenger evading with ease as she uses those dancing legs to effect. Korkunova ends up taking more jabs to the face as she tries to close the distance, allowing Brown to box her out instead. A good round for both girls, if you ask us, as they start this championship bout with an overall draw.

ROUND 2: 
Havana upsets Diana early with a big punch to the middle of her face, that cross-hand sailing in at the close of the first minute! OUCH! Diana shocked by the challenger’s power packed into that tiny frame, as she desperately fends off more rockers that slam into her arms. Havana takes the offensive yet again, and it’s clear that Brown knows she’s got the goods to deliver - that's why she’s swinging hard, bashing lefts and rights into Diana's body before taking aim at her chest and forearms. Diana getting bulldozed about the ring this round - not a great look for the reigning champ indeed as she’s bullied by the smaller girl and left breathing hard on the ropes by the time the bell finally rings.

ROUND 3:

Diana accepts the slugging exchange and both girls JUST GO AT IT in the middle, slamming mitts into the face and then the sides, each consecutive hit drawing a loud grunt and face twisted in agony. Diana shows she too can hang and bang with her opponent's brand of power, jams a left into Havana’s side before knocking the blonde's head upwards with a snap uppercut to the jaw. But Havana merely grunts and retaliates with even greater force, glad that her target is presenting herself so eagerly: Diana lets out a grunt of her own as her head’s turned to the side by a right hook, then a left swing cuts her in half after landing square to the tummy, as both girls finally reset at opposite corners, looking visibly swollen after a vicious war of attrition.

ROUND 4: 
Havana dominates the opening minute, having gotten a taste of power, now headhunting with jabs and then hooks thrown out of nowhere. Diana surprised but not shocked this time, puts up her guard fast enough to absorb most of the blows, but a few are still taken on the body as she groans and bends over, trying to make herself small. My god this blonde is going all out in this quest for the gold, with Brown using her reserves to try and put Diana down as early as possible, but Diana rallying in the final minute, landing a stiff left hand straight to the face, then pushes Havana back with another Barrage to the guard. Brown gets a taste of her own medicine as she looks absolutely drained towards the end, as she tries to fend off the counterattack, ends up as the one panting on the ropes in a clear rebound round for the Siren!

ROUND 5: 
Early action is tame by comparison, with both ladies circling with their dukes up and some cautious advances, until Diana NAILS Havana with a brutal chin shot of nowhere, a left hand feint making the challenger draw up her corresponding guard, only to get SMACKED by Diana’s right hook that torques her to the side! Havana lets out a groan as she goes stumbling right, trying to catch her balance. But no luck! She goes DOWN TO HER KNEES in a first KNOCKDOWN of the evening!

Diana with a smirk finally on her face, one hand raised as she circles back to her corner. Havana shaking her own head on the ground, looking gobsmacked as she pushes herself back up by the count of 8. She’s still a little groggy, however, as the referee resumes the last two minutes, and DIANA COMES IN HOT! Havana's not ready for the champ’s assault, arms flailing about as she takes lefts and rights to the face and then more thumping to her midsection, as Korkunova seeks to end this right now! Brown in trouble on the ropes, eyes shut and face hidden in her own arms as the rest of her lithe frame takes a rough beating! Diana in close quarters, pumping gloves into the belly then ROASTING those arms until her fists stuffed into the blonde’s face… Referee hovering nearby, watching for resistance.. . doesn’t see much left from the challenger at this point… Havana takes another right hand clean across the face, which almost throws her torso over the top rope! FINALLY the ref JUMPS IN TO END THIS!! IT’S OVER!!

Official Decision: Diana Korkunova defeats Havana Brown via TKO5! Diana Korkunova is STILL the BBU Flyweight Champion!

AFTER:
By golly! Korkunova’s still got it! The Siren’s lifted up by her teammates after a spectacular win tonight and the Flyweight belt handed back to her for the fifth time!

Moments later, Diana shedding her tough-girl image, actually going over to Havana to check on the challenger. Brown still laid out on her stool, partially relieved to see Diana hovering over her and doing nothing else. The two women share a brief hug, before Korkunova returns to her celebrations with her corner. 

One can only speculate where Diana might go from here, having already beaten legends like Cheryl Cole and Emilia Clarke, and rumours swirling  she might take another crack at another weight class.
