Intro:
Former bantamweight champions duke it out now, Lea Seydoux hoping to add more misery to Alice Eve after the latter lost her title last month to Charlotte Church, can Alice get back on the right track so soon here in the BBU Arena?

Lea herself seems to have become a forgotten great in the BBU, you have to go back to two years since her last win against stablemate and constant rival Elodie Frege, with her focusing on the James Bond movies, can she recapture her form tonight?

As she talks to the media before the fight, Lea tells a national publication "I have worked hard over the past few months since I lost to Katie McGrath, I have been down but I am far from done" smiling as she wears a black dress with silver trim.

When asked about Alice, Lea replies "she is a talented fighter but now she knows that sting of losing a title, I will be pressing her backwards, she will know by the end how talented I am" heading off out the press event not long after.

For Alice this is a chance to rebuild after a disheartening defeat, to lose in the main event of the biggest BBU PPV in history on it's anniversary had to have hurt badly, the fact she lost her title was the cherry on top of a bad night.

Going into this fight though she mostly focused on training, only talking to the BBU TV reporter Georgie Thompson before the fight after a sparring session with her stablemate Billie Piper, where she looks in top shape wearing a black sports bra, tight black Lycra shorts, black shoes and matching gloves, wiping her brow as she sits on the ring apron.

"I was stupid in my last fight, I let that big mouthed bytch get me riled up, I made mistakes I normally wouldn't and all I can do is be honest with myself, look in the mirror to tell myself to be better then that" Alice admits her faults in her last bout, thudding her gloves together to show her frustration at herself.

Asked about her next opponent, Alice nods as she answers "honestly I asked for this fight, my management team were in two minds whether I should take Christmas off training to get myself mentally right, instead I made it clear I want to jump right back on the horse, I thought of people I had never fought, Lea was who I wanted and here we are" Alice smiling for the first time since the interview begun.

"Lea is a dangerous opponent, her skills are some of the best in all the BBU, I know I am better then her though, I need to obviously be at my best, this could steal the show if we both bring out A game out there" says an excited looking Eve as she wipes her brow, thanking Georgie for coming by before she goes off to train.

Fighting time, first out comes Lea with her coach Asia Argento, the French stunner heads own the aisle with a navy blue satin robe on, looking regal as she heads down the aisle with her focus written on her face.

Asia helps take off her robe before she jogs up the ring steps, Lea is wearing a navy blue sports bra, French flag pattern trunks, Navy blue shoes, with white gloves, her hair is tied into a ponytail as she bows to each side of the ring to acknowledge her supporters who applaud her.

Now out comes Alice with her coach/manager Nicole Ritchie beside her, she wears a white robe with red trim, she is more animated as she waves to her fans on the way down the aisle, blowing kisses to some as she looks excited to be back in the ring.

Getting help with the robe by Nicole before she climbs into the ring, Alice is wearing a white sports bra, a St.George's cross pattern on her white trunks, white shoes, red gloves, while her hair is also tied into a ponytail as she jogs to her corner to warm up.

While they showed respect in the build up to the fight, the tension between them can be seen as they come together at the center of the ring, noses touching as they stare hard into their opponent's eyes, the old Anglo French rivalry seems to be getting channeled by them as neither wants to show any hint of weakness.

They are told to touch gloves, neither bats an eye at first as they have a few more tense moments face to face, finally touching one glove in a fist bump to their opponent before jogging to their corners, shaking their arms as they await the bell to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell both fighters look firmly determined to win this, eyes locked behind their gloves as they exchange stiff jabs, both have one of the best jabs in all of celebrity boxing, it is on show as cheeks are getting hit clean when both find gaps in the others guard.

The opening minute is a good evenly fought affair, neither able to really lay down a marker yet as they cancel each other out with straight punches into gloves or the opponent's face, not much body work yet though as they feel each other out.

It's Alice who tries to push the pace first, landing a good jab/straight to the face of her opponent, as she steps back she gets clipped with a left cross, Lea showing her own hand speed as the French actress lands a straight into the mouth of Eve.

The next time Alice tries to step in, Lea reads the straight coming before countering with an uppercut, the first big punch lands as she knocks back the English lass, following up with a three punch rapid fire combo into the face of Eve to push her back to the outside of the ring.

Final minute of the round sees Alice stuck on the back foot, Lea landing more punches through the guard of the smaller fighter to keep her near the ropes up to the bell, ending a strong finish to the round for Seydoux.

Round 2:
Nodding to her coach before she comes back out, Alice is looking to rely more on her movement it seems, creating different angles to take the fight back to her opponent, when she is on the inside she is moving when she lands a punch to drill in overhand punches around the guard of her opponent.

Lea looks a little shocked by this, shelling up more as she is taking more punches into the side of her cheeks, drilling a few straight punches into the chest of Alice to try to pin her down more.

Throwing more combos now they are warmed up to each other, Lea manages to bury a double jab into the face of Eve, pressing her backwards as she comes looking to rip the head off the smaller woman with more hooks coming.

Missing with a left hook at the half way point of the round, Lea is left open to two hooks under her ribs, Alice using her left shoulder to bump back the French actress, landing an uppercut to rock her to her heels.

Now it's Alice finding her rhythm to really pressure Lea, almost looking like she is dancing up on her toes around the younger fighter, targeting the body more as she takes clipping blows to the top of her head.

At the end of the round Alice is looking more relaxed as she returns to her corner, Nicole rubbing her shoulders as she tells her fighter "that's more like it, keep the pressure up and she will wilt" Alice nodding as she looks fully in the zone.

Round 3:
Trading stiff jabs again as Lea looks to be more aggressive, doubling her jab up to try to press back Alice, she lands several clean punches into the face of the Lookout! Fighter, missing though with a right cross as Alice dips down to work the body with a left/right hook.

Stepping back as Alice looks to press forwards now, she walks into a double jab though before a right hook turns her head, Lea's combination punching is what got her a title over two years ago, now she is showing it off to work back her opponent to the outside of the ring.

Alice finding it harder to get on the move like the last round, finding herself involved in more head to head exchanges, both women landing some crisp punches, it is Seydoux throwing with more volume and success as sweat flies off the head of Eve.

With less then a minute to go, Alice is dipping down more to get to work on the body of her opponent, hoping to wear down the free punching Seydoux, making her grunt more loudly with each body punching combo she unleashes to the delight of her corner.

In the end of the round though Alice is pegged back by two rights into the side of her head, a jab snapping her head back as she finds herself on the ropes, the bell rings with Lea grinning then she turns back to her corner, Asia giving her a tap on her shoulder before she sits on her stool to show she enjoyed that round too.

Round 4:
Moving around the ring fighting, both women are landing more cleanly to mark up their opponent, the crowd whistling as neither woman is holding back in their exchanges, sweat flies off them as they groan and bark out in effort.

Lea manages to land a left across the cheek of Alice, a straight knocks back the head of the English lass, who tries to swing over the top with a right hook, Lea sees it in time to dance back, THEN STEPS IN WITH AN UPPERCUT TO SEND ALICE DOWN TO HER BACK!

Raising her arms above her head, Lea smirks as that Parisian cockiness shows itself, 1...2...3... Alice turns to her front as she shakes her head to clear it, 4...5...6.. Pushing to all fours, Alice can be heard cursing herself for getting caught like that, 7...8.. Pushing to her feet, Alice nods to the referee she can continue.

Waved back together, Alice is on the defensive understandably as Lea comes after her, Lea landing some beautifully timed punches to the face of Alice, making her cheeks turn a reddish colour as she herds her towards the ropes.

Before Eve is knocked into a corner, she clinches up with Seydoux, with both beautiful blondes glistening under the lights as they exchange punches to the others kidneys, the referee needed to step in to break them apart.

The round comes to an end with Lea looking firmly on top now, Nicole working on getting Alice fully awake, furious that her fighter left herself too open there, which Alice admits was stupid to do, the Latin corner as you expect is all smiles as they chat more calmly.

Round 5:
Looking to continue on the front foot, Lea is doubling up her jab hoping to press Alice near the ropes so she can unload her heavier punches, missing though with her hooks as she looks to be loading a bit too long on them, giving Alice time to duck and dodge them.

We are starting to see the more counter punching Alice now, she is landing some beautiful counters across the face of Lea, with several punches landing square into the abs of her opponent to stop her charge in it's tracks.

Landing several punches across the cheeks of Alice as she steps in closer to work, Lea forcing the issue more as they exchange in heated moments, barking out as they plant their feet more.

If Lea assumed she had Alice on the ropes though, she is getting proven wrong as she keeps missing to leave openings for Alice to strike back, an overhand right hitting Seydoux on her left ear to knock her head to the side.

Suddenly Lea is finding herself shielding as Alice is controlling the action, drilling in more body shots to the French woman to make her groan out, a straight into the stomach of Lea opens her up to a left hook to the jaw as Alice is really in the groove now.

At the end of the round Lea stares at the canvas mumbling curse words in French, both sit on their stools not long after staring hard at each other, Lea getting a reminder she is in the ring with a truly elite fighter in the ring like herself.

Round 6:
Maybe because she hasn't won in a while, Lea is coming out quickly, not timing her punches as well now which is allowing Alice to duck or slip them, then counters with some hard hitting shots to make Lea go backwards.

An overhand left smacks Lea cleanly on her chin, an uppercut rocks her head back as the crowd are on their feet cheering, Lea misses with a desperate looking jab, ANOTHER UPPERCUT ROCKS BACK SEYDOUX'S HEAD AS SHE TUMBLES TO HER BACK!

Alice pounds her chest with her right fist before jogging to the neutral corner, hyped up by that knockdown, 1...2...3... Lea starts to stir as she turns to her front, 4...5...6.. Grabbing for the ropes to get up, 7...8.. As she gets to somewhat a base, 9... Her equilibrium is gone though as she stumbles to a knee, 10 that's all! Lea is counted out!

Winner Alice Eve KO Round 6

After:
Disappointment for Lea is utter joy for Alice, the winner raises her arms in the air with her beaming smile a stark contrast to the marks over her face, this was an uphill battle for Eve but she gets the important win to get back on the winning side of fights.

Asia heads into the ring to help Lea up, who stumbles onto the ropes, shaking her head in disbelief that she threw a great chance at a massive victory away, Asia trying to comfort her by reminding her that she fought literally the last champion in the division and controlled much of the first part of the fight.

While across the ring in the Lookout! Corner, Alice gets a big hug from Nicole, who tells her how proud she is of her, Alice arguably fittingly ending a hell of a year the right way with this win after it looking like her fairytale year was going to end on a sour note.

Both women get cleaned up in their corners, demeanors totally different as Alice is chatting away, Lea stone cold silent as she looks in a deep reflection about how this happened tonight, Asia just letting her do so as she focuses on washing down Lea.

When both women are ready the come to the ring center, Lea a little shaky but stands proud at the right of the referee, Alice gets her right hand raised to loud cheers from the crowd, Lea nods with a little clap for the winner, showing respect to Eve before she heads out the ring.

It hasn't been a great year for Lea, the fact she performed well should be a booster though to her confidence that she can return to that elite circle, maybe just a few tune ups though to get her going in the right direction, maybe even focus on her thriving national celebrity boxing scene.

In the ring Alice poses for the cameras with her left arm around Nicole's shoulder, her right flexed as both women smile warmly, this has has been a truly bumper year for Alice, can she replicate it next year? Well it will be a hard task but she seems up to the task if tonight is anything to go by.

Stepping out the ring with Nicole, Alice is already talking to her about next year, who will be on the hit list for Eve, I guess we'll all have to wait and see as 2020 comes towards it's end.
