American model Raven, who just celebrated her 25th birthday, had a tough time in FCBA, losing her only two fights to Serinda Swan and Taylor Swift, so maybe she was overmatched, and she is looking forward to making progress in BBU, although an opening fight against 30 year old Antonia, who debuts tonight, having been included in the ‘Romanian Invasion’ stable which has started so dynamically.

Round 1
Neither girl is committing too much in attack as the fight starts, each a little wary of the other, and anxious not to make mistakes, Raven possibly the more ‘correct’ boxer, jabbing nicely, but not following up behind her jab, so that Antonia is finding it fairly easy to keep her at bay, the pretty Romanian growing in confidence, and now she’s starting to come forward, and lands a sweet combination on Raven, jolting the American backwards, and Raven isn’t fighting back right now, gives Antonia a hard stare, but takes another left jab and a right cross, looking better as the round progresses, Raven not showing enough in terms of offence in a fairly slow round

Round 2
After a slow start, the pace is beginning to pick up a little Antonia starting to take the fight to Raven in the opening seconds of the round, with the American going backwards, and limiting herself to the occasional counter punch. Antonia seems to have Raven in her pocket as the round progresses, and she presses her backwards, the American feeling rope on her back, and at last she shows some venom, landing a good left hook and a right hook to follow, which sends Antonia staggering backwards, so that she ends up backing into the ropes across the ring, covers up, but takes a couple of smart uppercuts up between her gloves before the bell pauses the action, fightfans becoming more interested as the seconds tick by

Round 3
This fight is tight, both girls beginning to step up though, and they swap some decent punches as soon as the bell rings, Raven knocking Antonia’s head back with good jabs, the Romanian returning with equally good ones, and she begins to look for more, landing a nice right hook to Raven’s jaw, then a left to her body, Raven reacting well though, and she gives Antonia a peachy left uppercut, sending the Romanian backwards this time, and she follows up as well, knowing that she has hurt the girl, and looking for more, Antonia covering her cheeks with her gloves as Raven bangs punches into her body, and Antonia is squeaking like a little girl with each blow, tries to punch her way out of trouble, but gets knocked back again, and that’s been an excellent round for Raven Lyn

Round 4
Raven’s making a solid start to round 4, wanting to build on what she did to Antonia in round 3, but the Romanian’s recovered quickly and well, and she’s starting to find Raven with a her right jab and left hook combination, the slim American struggling to keep pace with those punches, tries to hit Antonia to her body, but those punches don’t have the same venom as the earlier ones, and the Romanian absorbs them easily, flicking out jabs, sharp punches in quick succession, and those punches are firm enough to stop Raven in her tracks, and this time she’s the girl needing to defend herself with her back against the ropes, whilst Antonia rips punches into her, face and body, hurting her, the round closing with Raven looking shocked and bloodied, a very sore looking cut having been opened on her right cheekbone

Round 5
Antonia looks fired up now, whilst Raven’s more downcast, her corner needing to work on greasing that cut between rounds, although that gets removed pretty quickly when she walks into a little barrage of punches to her face, her head getting smacked from right to left and back again, the blood running freely down her face, the Romanian seeming to be excited at that as she pumps another left hook into the American’s body, Raven slumping a little, Antonia spotting that she’s got the girl hurt, and she gives her another left and right hook combination, which puts Raven on the floor. Raven gets to her feet at 6, wiping at her bloodied face, then she takes another lovely left to her body, and a right to her mouth, which sends her stumbling to the ropes, the bell ringing before she goes down again, her seconds helping her to her stool

Round 6
Raven should probably not have been allowed to continue, but she’s too proud to submit, and she’s on her feet and trying to look ready, but she’s not too steady on her feet, and Antonia’s shaking her head as she moves across the ring, immediately hitting her to the ribs with a left hook, then lands a right and left on the American’s face, the blood from that cut cheek starting to flow again as Raven teeters backwards, Antonia hitting her again, left, left, then right, and down goes Raven, unable to beat the count this time

Result: Antonia Iacobescu knocked out Raven Lyn in round 6

It has to be said that these Romanian girls are either very good, or are being well managed in terms of hand picking their opponents, because Raven Lyn was an ideal first fight for Antonia, who hardly broke sweat as she beat the American to defeat
