Samia Ghadie vs Danielle Harris

BEFORE: Let's make no mistake, Samia Ghadie is on the doorstep of BBU's Hall of Fame despite her less than stellar overall record. She's not as active over the past couple of years anymore but Ryder Cup duty calls househould names rather than current form. The same logic can be applied to Danielle Harris who's settled for Pretty Little Punchers coaching job lately and was thought to be retired. However Danielle slammed Samia in less than four rounds back in 2011 so Team USA is well poised to even the scoreline with both flyweight veterans coming to blows during the press conference already. Danielle walked away victorious from that one - with a chunk of Samia's hair extensions no less - but will she claim full dominance of the Coronation Street stalwart here next? 

Samia Ghadie wears a red bikini set and white gloves. Long light brown hair with blonde highlights tied in a curled ponytail. Danielle Harris wears a pink bikini set and black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Cougar slugging at it's best early on and while Samia tried to sneak upon the seemingly rusty brunette, she gets checked with a jabbing drive up the middle that forces her to respond in high-octane fashion. The French audience quickly joins the groove as Samia outworks her foe in close range and snaps Danielle's head back repeatedly even making the US woman gasp in discomfort already. This reaction only fuels the Brit's production and she rattles the older actress back to the ropes where she keeps picking her off upstairs. Denise van Outen hopes to see some versatility here with Danielle's ribcage well exposed for some punishment but Samia remains glued to the head-hunting pursuit and succeeds into making the American cover up in a desperate earmuff. It becomes a little one-sided in the final stretch alas Samia can't score that slam dunk even though she carries on piling more strikes after the bell which earns her a lecture from the ref.

Round 2:
Danielle must have done something else than just working the pads over at the PLP gym and she matches the Brit's production early in the second as both women trade head-hunting blows in the center of the ring again. Samia aims for the big combo but fails to respond to the brunette's better-than-expected footwork so she loses her momentum down the stretch with Danielle landing crisp punches instead. The American singles these efforts back & forth but does enough to frustrate the Corrie babe into an ill-timed burst that ends with Samia getting whacked across the lips. Ugh! Keep ur mitts up, gurl! Nope, she can't and Harris smacks her on the lips repeatedly which drops Ghadie onto the ropes. She locks a clinch in order to slow the Florida native down but Danielle slips through to punish her midsection and even the scorecards.

Round 3:
More back & forth jabbing in the center of the ring but you just know Samia will blow the gasket first... Danielle seems happy to settle for the counter-punching response for now but the key is to avoid getting laced... that's indeed the case as Ghadie's pursuit proves futile and traps her in an overhand funk as Harris rallies back to score pesky half-uppercuts along the way in the second minute. Samia's footwork is mediocre and she can't force a mid-range reboot while soaking up more punces in the phone booth. She yelps in pain when the American's attacks leave a swollen mark around her lips but she only bounces off the top of Danielle's forehead thereafter and gets reeled into the turnbuckle where Harris cleans out the Mancunian tummy for a good measure.

Round 4:
Danielle's maybe a little rusty on her boxing return but still looks the nemesis part for poor Samia who soaks up another jabbing drive and simply needs to up her footwork if she's to cause the brunette more trouble. Harris bounces off her jugs from the inside and that's a new one for Team USA while Samia remains stuck in neutral now that she can't match her opponent's intensity. She reverts back into those deseprate heaves again alas Harris keeps her in-check during the second minute before bursting into the Brit's body again. Ugh! Ghadie yelps louder now as Danielle seeths in her air while working her guts over along the ropes. A quick cross-hook catches the American on the mouth but Samia fails to follow through and sags into spasms late in the going when Harris keeps digging her mitts into the exposed ribcage. That's three on the bounce for the PLP cougar so no wonder the BBU TV cameras pan back to Hayley Atwell in the VIP lounge. The British JMDD expert is on the Punchers' payroll these days and her smile looks a bit awkward indeed. Guess he didn't pass any inside information to Team Europe after all?

Round 5:
Team USA is ready to deliver the knock out blow however Samia's holdinhg up well save for the swollen lips. She endures a rough pep-talk from coach Denise Lewis and jumps back into the slugging drill to wipe that cheeky smile from Danielle's face! Ugh! Did the Americans think Samia's all done & dusted here? Harris receives a nasty wake-up call when she gets scythed across the lips and it quickly gets worse as Samia piles a jabbing pressure to the chest helped by a dose of uppercut menace. Whoa! Harris slides onto her heels and misses the key hook over the top while Ghadie NAILS her on the nose to drop the US guard on the spot. Before Danielle can raise her arms again, she gets whacked with a left/right combo and Samia's all over here jugs thereafter to force Team Europe's recovery. Danielle's boobs take a beating in the final minute with Samia yelping and groaning her way into supreme uppercut display that leaves Harris gassed on the ropes. She pulls one back here and lets Danielle know it... cue in some taunting at the bell - or even afterwards as the referee has to drag the Corrie lass away from her opponent.

Round 6:
We're back to the sugging drill and this time Samia cashes in first as she blows by the brunette's high guard and stacks her shots up bang on target... this target being Danielle's nose which begins to leak blood soon after Ghadie delivers a powerful left/right combo to drop the American's mitts... Danielle decides not to seek respite in mid-distance which proves to be a mistake because moments later she gets CLOBBERED with a vicious left hook that finds the temple and folds her into a quick uppercut follow up... and that punch LIFTS the American off her feet!!! Ugh! Harris literally stumbles back to the ropes with eyes closed and has no chance to cover up for a brutal right hook that nails her on the mouth a split second later... DOWN SHE GOES!!!! Team USA suffers a cruel demise here in the second flyweight bout as Harris crumbles dead meat on the canvas and it's KO6 Samia Ghadie!!

AFTER: Payback is a b####!!! Almost a carbon copy of the Cheryl Cole KO highlight from several minutes ago... Team Europe smokes the opposition in lights out fashion that serves as a proper curveball more than anything else. Ugh! Danielle had it all covered and then she didn't.... and now she's lying face down on the floor with Samia gloating over her fallen corpse. But it's not quite over... it's never over with the Corrie favorite. She forces Danielle to be revived and you know what's coming next... Harris is ordered to lick the Brit's knee-high boots top to bottom and that one is worth the price of admission already! Even Minka Kelly wants to get a closer look at this since they don't make you walk the plank like that under FCBA rules: "Damn, what a lousy bytch you are!". Samia laughs at Minka's take and let's hope Team USA recovers from going down 2-zip since some trigger-happy BBU fans preach the whitewash script on social media already. Not so fast! The Yankees' best pitcher comes up next and even the most loyal Team Europe followers admit this is a boom or bust case here next! Can Una Healy really upset the former unified bantamweight champion of the world?
