(Black Eagle Boxing vs Lioness Club)
(3-4, 3 KO vs 5-2, 5 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Germany & the Netherlands share a long history together on the football pitch so this match-up is particulary exciting when you consider both these models are dating pro footballers - or used to in Yasmin's case. Ann-Kathrin Brommel is still poised to be Black Eagle Boxing's pin-up girl however that status remains in limbo following the signing of Toni Garrn which might reduce the blonde model into ousting Indira Weis from the lightweight leadership first. Meanwhile Yasmin Verheijen has effectivey replaced Christine Bleakley as Lioness Club's top 130 bs fighter but requires another signature win in standard rules to double up on her KO8 trouncing of Stella Maxwell last year.

Former Girls Friday member Jessica Michibata joins Yasmin in the Lioness corner tonight while Ann-Kathrin relies on special VIP trainer Heidi Klum's advice as Gina Wild has apparently decided to go all glamour to boost her fighter's status. Klum's further status within the Black Eagles remains unknown at this stage although BBU TV's Georgie Thompson hopes to scoop some backstage news once the event concludes!

Ann-Kathrin Brommel wears a turquoise one-piece cut out swimsuit and golden gloves. Long dark blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Yasmin Verheijen wears a white one-piece swimsuit with black trim and orange gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
It's a quick action from the German model who tries to upstage the pageant with high-octane jabbing but Yasmin covers her off and manages to stick promising counter-punching effort that throws Ann-Kathrin off her stance almost too early even for Heidi Klum's delight. Yasmin barks in her efforts to drive the older woman back to the ropes and dominates the mid-range exchange before belting the blonde on the breadbasket to bend her into spasms. Ugh! That last punch really throws the cat among the German pigeons and Brommel has to yield real estate in a hurry but still gets picked off with relentless point-blank range attack. Verheijen doesn't display much agility but her opponent looks equally awkward while trying to use her feet and gets trapped on the ropes late with the brunette pounding away at her and slicing the leaky guard.

Round 2:
Heidi Klum's plan for Ann-Kathrin appears to be heading nowhere early in the second again as she gets outworked in a mid-distance tangle with Yasmin picking her off at will and leaving glued to the spot. Ugh! A quick switch to the body cripples the blonde into more spasms and she can only clinch the pageant winner to enjoy some respite. However Yasmin cashes in with more point-blank range strikes thereafter and bullies the ineffective blonde all over the ring until she traps her on the turnbuckle again to deliver pesky hooks to the body as Brommel remains covered behind a desperate earmuff.

Rounds 3 & 4:
Ann-Kathrin's lack of success leaves her sagging in mid-range and avoiding another Dutch rush during the next two rounds. She manages to slow the brunette's attacks but does very little to impress the judges even considering the home court advantage tonight. No wonder the Cologne crowd begins to lose their patience with this dink & dunk boxing that grazes the brunette's flesh with single punches and mostly bounces off the guard. Lioness coach Mel B. orders a methodical journey to secure each round on points even though that's not what Georgie Thompson enjoys back in the booth. However Ann-Kathrin's lack of production allows the visitors to play it safe while Gina Wild emotionally argues her case with Heidi Klum in the opposite corner during the interval.

Round 5:
Yasmin breaks out of the sleepwalking tempo to cash in with a quick left/right combo on the temples but suddenly Ann-Kathrin rattles her with a big overhand on the nose and doubles up with an uppercut series on the chest that drops the Dutch stunner on her heels. Brommel beats the recovery plan with another hard right on the nose that sinks the younger girl on jelly knees for good so the Cologne audience finally gets to enjoy a sustained spell of German pressure. Ann-Kathrin goes all-in fyweight bash style to thump her opponent back to the ropes where she digs deep into the exposed tummy to cripple Verheijen into spasms and desperate clinching attempts. However this plan goes south when the blonde NAILS her with a brutal uppercut on the jaw just before the bell which has Mel B. screaming out in frustration. Whoa! Talk about a German recovery here in the fifth! That's what the Eagles really needed after a horrible start to tonight's event!

Round 6:
Verheijen wants to get even with the older girl and resume that bullying approach however she gets beaten for the initial punch in the close range tangle and doesn't have time to enforce the mid-distance duke she'd dominated before. Ann-Kathrin nails her with another brutal hook on the nose that begins to blood well inside the one-minute mark and it's all going downhill for the Dutch stunner afterwards.. She gets thumped with another uppercut series on the jugs and has no answer to a brutal harpoon on the liver area THAT SENDS HER CRASHING DOWN ON HER KNEES much to the crowd's delight! Ugh! Brommel's bliztkrieg does the trick completely against the run of play! Yasmin battles back through spasms and aches to her feet at six but soon endures a faceful of the blonde's leather which opens the nasal bleeding again! Ugh! Dutch babe bellows out into painful cries as she tries to prevent more damage but Brommel is not to be denied anymore as she works on the wounded spot to leave bloody marks on her mitts here for everyone to enjoy! The ref has seen this too and HE JUMPS IN to stop the contest before Yasmin gets her face bashed in! Huge TKO6 Ann-Kathrin Brommel in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: Medical crew quickly arrives on the scene to attend to the brunette's banged up nose and Jessica Michibata is forced to plead her friend's case for a rematch: "If I wasn't booked for the Front Street Japan gig, I'd blow you straight out of the water, bytch! You're a frickin' nobody! How dare you...", Jessica's tirade is stopped when she gets hauled back by Mel B. who exchanges eye-to-eye contact with Gina Wild before making some obscene gestures: "It's not over, Gina! We'll be back here! Hell, Geri can f### you up anytime you want!". This is a personal success for the former Lioness trainer as she manages to get even with her old protegee in strictly coaching duel alas the contest ends in a draw due to Geri's thumping of Collien Fernandes in the opener. Georgie Thompson would absolutely love to see more Wild/Halliwell action in the ring but there's too much bad temper flying around at this stage to have anything confirmed. And it's Heidi Klum who claims to have gotten the strategy all figured out despite Ann-Kathrin falling back on the cards. Georgie says the modelling All-Pro enjoyed more luck than she actually deserved but you don't argue with the big 'W' anyway!

Final result: Ann-Kathrin Brommel def. Yasmin Verheijen TKO6.
