3. Kate Beckinsale vs Jenny McCarthy (I/Best-of-Five)

Kate:
(47, 5’7, 56:38:3 FCBA, VIXENs)

Jenny:
(48, 5’7, 68:66:1 FCBA, Sceej)

BEFORE:
It’s the first match in a series of five as Kate Beckinsale eagerly accepts the challenge of hated rival Jenny McCarthy. These two cougars have had their sights on each other for the longest time, and doubly so with regards to the most elusive Hall-of-Fame, with Beckinsale on the threshold of qualifying for a place and McCarthy throwing everything in her arsenal to stop her.

Ladies don’t even acknowledge each other’s presence as they climb into the ring for their first bout tonight, both making final preparations in corners whilst speaking to reporters with a quick line or two:

“Beckinsale’s DONE for, y’hear me?? DONE FOR!” Jenny of course heard raising her voice with her opponent just a couple of paces away from her. “This is the WORST decision she’s made in her already sordid career - she’s gonna LOSE three-in-row and then, I’ll have AMPLE time to qualify for the Hall-of-Fame before the British crumpet does. No reason to go the full five fights, in my absolutely-100%-correct opinion - she might as well roll over on the canvas right now and I’ll plant my foot on her face.”

Beckinsale by now all too used to her arch-nemesis’ wild rants and even worst unhinged personality - the Vixen Head-honcho’s busy strapping on leather gloves in her corner whilst speaking calmly to reporters:

“It’s time to end this feud, once and for all. McCarthy’s always had a loud and foul mouth, and it’s high-time she put up her dukes or shut the hell up. NOBODY’s going to stop me getting into the Hall, not least someone like HER.”

Ladies look pristine for their age-bracket as they square off at opposing turnbuckles. No touch of the gloves (obviously) - the referee doesn’t even bother asking them to meet at the center of the ring for the rules. Quick wave of a hand and even faster DING of the bell and HERE we go with the first of five bouts and ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Ladies surprisingly tame for all this hype leading up to the Best-of-5 series, testing each other out with jabs to the head and an occasional hook thrown more as a show of force than any danger. Of course, the main culprit is McCarthy, whose entire career could be categorised as such - she’s letting hooks fly at Kate’s direction even when the Brit is too far away for them to have any hope of landing clean, but still making Beckinsale reel backwards just in case. McCarthy smirks as she’s gotten the desired effect, till Kate’s jabs come streakin’ inwards to tag her clean on the lips and nose, one after another hitting her enhanced face and causing her to shriek in outrage. Of course, the round ends with the Brit looking more focused and taking this fight seriously, therefore scoring a majority of the points.

ROUND 2:
This just makes Jenny more than a little mad, and the blonde finally jumps into the middle of the ring with a more serious expression. The action winds up and the early minute sees jabs flying in both directions, both cougars exchanging fire and painful grunts as they tag each other mutually on the face. McCarthy wants it more all of a sudden, however, jamming a hard left into the side of Kate’s chin, snapping her head to one side with an unexpected grunt. Kate needs to pay more attention to her opponent’s power, now forced to cover up for the remainder of the round as McCarthy pounces and hounds her all the way back to the corner. Kate keeps her cool, however, lands the occasional tight hook on the arms and body as she stops Jenny from routing her completely. But with every shot landed to her hated rival, Jenny seems to be growing more and more enraged. Still, the sceej starlet can hope to even out the rounds when the bell rings for the second, letting out a roar and more swear words on her way back to corner. What a fantastic way to open this series as both ladies take the first two rounds with one apiece!

ROUND 3:
Jenny uses her power to dictate terms, firing off crisp hooks into the Brit’s arms whenever Kate gets in range. Kate on the other hand having trouble getting in close to brawl, and when she stays too far away, it’s also difficult to break the blonde’s defenses with her jabs this early in the fight. Round 3’s a slower affair as both ladies conserve their energy for the long haul, not to mention another potentially four fights on the horizon. Jenny manages to squeeze in another jab combo to the face late in the round, slamming leather into Kate’s nose and then rattling her with another swing to the side of her head. Beckinsale needs to do much more if she wants to avoid a consecutive loss to her rival, and MUCH more if she hopes of getting into the Hall-of-Fame one day.

ROUND 4:
Beckinsale finds her stride in the fourth, scorching a right cross up and over the guard when Jen wasn’t looking, earning a loud shriek of outrage as her plans for world domination are thrown into disarray. Beckinsale pushes in with more steady action, methodical and precise punches scored off Jenny’s facial features as though she’s treated like a blonde punching bag. McCarthy not doing as well this time, perhaps the pain taking its toll as she covers up and makes a dash for it, but still can’t avoid Kate’s finding-fists forever as they break into her pale tummy or batter the arms. The occasional swing back at Kate sees the Brit swerving her head back just in case, but Jenny doesn’t manage to maintain her momentum as Kate manages to almost beat her back into the ropes, earning a loud shout of approval from the Vixen-corner when the bell rings.

ROUND 5:
It’s a birthday bash for the Vixens but Jenny McCarthy arguably is the worst party pooper ever to grace these shores. She spoils Kate’s parade early with a loud BLAM to the cheek at the end of sixty seconds, right after Beckinsale had resumed her chase, the Brit liking her chances of securing this first fight outta five only to grow careless and let slip an overhand swing that came crashing into the corner of her eye. Jenny perhaps swinging for the hills at this point, a Hail Mary attempt to keep the Brit off of her for a bit longer, and it works: McCarthy takes a thumping left-right to the tummy but then instinctively swings a right hand high and mighty, the blow sending Kate stumbling to the side with a loud shout. All downhill for Kate after that, as she covers up from a raging McCarthy, who wants to pay her back in full for that last round’s beating. Kate left groaning on the ropes, bent over and eyes bulging in the blonde’s arms, with McCarthy drilling her over and over again with gut-shots, more slaps of leather to her arms to try and blow down her front door. But both ladies are left tired and holding onto each other’s shoulders at the sound of the bell, refusing to give up as they shove off each other roughly at the referee’s orders.

ROUND 6:
McCarthy shouting to the audience as though she’s already won this fight, and there’s no need to go another four matches to confirm the inevitable. She’s smirking, raising her fist even as the bell rings for the sixth to start, which allows Brit to rush in and SLAM a right hand straight into her cocky face, then another one-two combo driven into her lips as McCarthy’s wake-up call arrives too late! Kate switching sights with grace, a left glove swung into blonde body, another right hook sent digging into the ribs, and suddenly, McCarthy finds her back to the ropes with her mouth hanging open, one hand clutching her stomach as she’s forced to eat more leather to the face from both directions! Kate has her exactly where she wants her, SLAMS a final nail in the coffin clean across the bewildered woman’s face, and DOWN MCCARTHY GOES!! She gets sent sprawling DOWN to her side by the ropes, clutching her face in agony! Referee takes his place above but the ageing blonde only manages to crawl upwards to the ropes on her knees, doesn’t make it any further for the rest of the 10-count! There’s the wave of the arm for the bell and this first match is OVER!!

Official Decision: Kate Beckinsale defeats Jenny McCarthy via KO6!

AFTER:

What a promising start to this best-of-five series, and even more so for Kate Beckinsale, who secures the win while on home turf tonight, against an old nemesis who’ll stop at nothing to see her gain success.

McCarthy simply grew a little too complacent back there at the cost of the match. She’s still holding her jawline in agony as Kate waltzes over later on to gloat. The Vixen places both hands on her hips as she smirks down at the writhing blonde. “Why don’t you just call it quits, Jen? It’ll save you a heap load of trouble in the long run.”

Jenny sneers back through muffled tones and a clenched jawline.” F*CK OFF, CRUMPET. I’LL GET YOU NEXT--MMPPPGHHH!!”

Kate thrusting a foot down into her foe’s face, earning a loud squeal from McCarthy as her words are finally cut off. Beckinsale smirking above, posing for a couple more seconds as she smushes her foot into half of the blonde’s face, cementing her first win tonight, and something tells us she’s been waiting to do that for the longest time.

“Tut tut. Language, Jenny. After I defeat you twice over, I’ll be sure to shut that ill lip of yours permanently.”
