7. Lily Collins vs Emma Watson IV (Unified Flyweight Title)

Lily:
(31, 5’5, 112, 36:11 FCBA, VIXENs)

Emma:
(30, 5’6, 41:25 FCBA, VIXENs)

BEFORE:
After their backstage brawl just a couple of weeks ago, it was only evitable that these two rivals would get another chance to settle their differences in the ring. It also makes sense that just over a year ago, it was Emma Watson, then Flyweight champion, who offered Lily a chance to steal the belt off her waist. And my oh my how the tables have turned a year later, with Collins now in the position of power and gloating throughout the pre-fight press conference:

“How does it feel, Emma, to play second fiddle for once? GOD I remember how insufferable you were last year when you first won the championship. Couldn’t shut up about the fact and what’s worst, acted all innocent whenever you talked about it. Look at where the belt’s ended up now?” Lily proudly smirks as she cradles the title over her shoulder. “This is nothing but a courtesy call. I was absolutely delighted when Watson got herself beat by Portman last month - it just goes to show how weak a champion she was and never will be again.”

Watson almost pouting from the other end of the table, her arms folded neat across her chest, lips smeared by both jealousy and frustration. It’s true that the Harry Potter starlet hasn’t had the fairytale ending she wanted at the tail-end of 2020, and just a year ago, she was standing high with wins over girls like Kristen Stewart and Vanessa Hudgens. Emma grabs the microphone with unusual snark and aggression, before replying:

“The difference is, dear Lily, I’m going to bloody win this time, and pay you back for all the humiliation and suffering you’ve caused since joining this stable. Gosh, you just have to no idea how many of us want to slap you across your face, do you? Plenty of girls were practically hugging me after I smacked you on the face last month…”

“Yeah, look who tried to ambush me and got laid out in the locker room, is more like it,” Lily cuts in with a laugh, referring to their backstage encounter that saw Watson get smothered out in the end. “Face it, Emma, you’re second-class in every way. You’re nothing but a B-list fighter, much like that acting career of yours.”

As usual, only a one-inch height difference between both girls, who almost come to blows again as they meet at the podium for the official staredown. Lily’s still seen smirking by the cameras, practically shoving her belt into Emma’s face at very opportunity, causing Emma to roughly shove her shoulders back at one point and Lily’s face to darken. Just before the two of them lunge at each other for round 2 of their catfight, the ring officials step in to separate champion and challenger, herding both girls back to their respective locker rooms for the final prep.

Later on, Emma’s dressed in a simple black sports bra with pink outlines, similar-coloured fighting gym shorts and red gloves, her dirty strawberry blonde hair bundled up tight in a battle bun. Lily going for the classic white t-shirt bundled in a knot out front, showing off her lean and toned figure. She’s also wearing long black tights with the word “Vixen” emblazoned in pink along one side, bunching blue gloves together in her corner after temporarily handing the title belt to the referee for safekeeping. There goes the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action! This here’s for the Unified Flyweight Championship!

ROUND 1:
These intra-stable fights have certainly raised the stakes in subsequent years for the Vixens, constantly keeping them on their toes as they encounter danger around every backstage corner. Lily and Emma’s rivalry, for example, appears to be just getting started despite this being their fourth encounter in the ring. The first round sees plenty of daring action as both Brits circle in constantly with flurries thrown at each other’s heads. Three clashes in the ring now, not to mention countless out-of-the-ring encounters, and there’s little wind-up before the action intensifies. Lily’s slightly faster of the two, slapping leather into Emma’s face early, each jab drawing a grunt and look of further disdain from Watson, and louder and louder gasps from the engaged crowd. Meanwhile, Emma’s firing back with her own ammunition, but unable to catch her nimbler counterpart, her punches mainly hitting Lily on the arms or missing entirely, much to the delight of the champ. Round ends and Collins is still making rude gestures towards her on her way back to corner, having secured the first by a wide margin.

ROUND 2:
First minute sees more of Lily’s frivolous antics as she dances and bounces about in front of Emma, like a feline playing with her food. It’s certainly entertaining for the audience, who let out short bursts of laughter as they see the distinct contrast between these two ladies’ personalities: Lily the jokester and black sheep of the family, never seen before as a real contender for the belt, and Watson the keen, focused princess, seen as soft in many circles but certainly proving capable of packing a punch when she wants to. Lily finds this out the hard way as she moves backwards to avoid an incoming combo from Watson, only to find Emma accelerating towards her, and suddenly, her vision’s filled with a rain of punches from the Harry Potter starlet, Emma using aggression to bash Collins’ smug face in with an overhand blow! Lily’s laughs turned to grunts as she desperately covers up and scrambles, but Watson not leaving her alone for long, keeps the pressure up throughout the rest of the round as she bangs away at the guard or bashes her foe’s tummy with looping lefts and rights. At the bell, Lily’s eating her words, forced to take her adversary seriously if she doesn’t want a humiliating defeat on her hands.

ROUND 3:
Finally we see some proper boxing action: both ladies go back-and-forth in tandem as they exchange jabs from afar, the first minute seeing a close draw as evenly matched girls tag each other on the face in back-to-back action, repeatedly pawing at nose, lip and chest as they test out the holes in defences. Lily fighting like the champ we know and love, her eyes narrowing in focus as she bobs and weaves around Emma’s jabs with ease, keeping her head out of range of more combos before grazing Emma’s lips face or tummy to beat the challenger back. A close round overall at the bell, but we think Collins managed to steal it.

ROUND 4:
Emma redeems herself with a slower, more cautious start, in stark contrast to the champ, who remains nimble on her toes. Lily’s early jabs hit a firm wall that is Emma’s forearms, and besides a couple of shots to her waistline, Watson manages to scare off her opponent with sudden straight hands catapulted from behind her taller walls. She catches Lily mid-round with one such fireball flung up and over, a left hand feint first thrown to make Collins scoot to her right… straight into the oncoming scorcher of a right hand stuffed into Lily’s lips, drawing a gurgle and groan from the champ. Emma’s known for her smart, counter-punching skills, and she out-plays Lily like this all the way to the end of the round, with both girls constantly exchanging fire still Emma targeting Lily’s face almost exclusively with more stiff shots bunching up her cheek.

ROUND 5:
Lily’s face glowing pink by this point, both from the punishment inflicted on her but also her growing embarrassment at being tossed about like a ragdoll. She’s the Flyweight champ, goddamnit, and she refuses to drop the belt to someone as scorned as Watson. First minute sees more cautious circling, with Lily showing hesitation for the first time as she tries to predict Watson’s next attack vector. But Collins not the best known for her calculations, and Watson manages to play her like a fiddle as she feints with jabs to one side then smacks the body and chest with looping right hands the other way, occasional cross hand delivered to the champion’s chin as Lily continues to get bullied in the ring. She needs to find a new strategy if she wants to come out of this melee alive, and the third minute sees Collins left pawing at Emma from a safe distance, trying to stop her advance. It’s Watson’s round yet again, and the future looks bright at the possibility of a second title run for the Brit.

ROUND 6:
Early brawl erupts as Emma manages to corner Lily on the ropes - the punches start flying with force and venom as both girls fly back into catfighting mode: Emma blasting wild shots into Lily’s arms, as though she’s looking down the barrel of a potential knockdown attempt. Lily gets thrown to either side with loud grunts, more shots landing on her abs as she gets pinned down by the slightly bigger girl on the ropes. But Lily has other ideas, takes and takes and takes punishment until she refuses to… narrowly DODGING out of the way of an uppercut aimed primed at her chin, before leaping forward with a pouncing left - Superwoman punch slammed straight into Emma’s face and nostrils! OUCH!! Emma gets pushed back as her face disappears in leather for a brief moment, AND HERE COMES LILY, shoving more guns into her face, not letting up one bit as Emma brings her arms up with painful gasps, her waistline getting tanned by more gloves as Collins closes in and gets personal, blasting away at her flanks with glee. Oh how the tables have flipped as the round ends with Emma left hanging on the ropes, looking flabbergasted and rocked, whereas Lily’s not so good herself, out of breath but still with a wide smile on her face as she returns to her corner, triumphant.

ROUND 7:
Emma’s turn to prove dangerous in close quarters, slowly building up her arsenal of shock and awe - especially lethal against a leaner girl like Lily Collins. But if Collins is beginning to regret ever offering her title shot to her fellow stablemate, she ain’t showing it yet, sending an early crunching shot into Emma’s face, which stops the Brit’s advance mid-stride with a groan. Lily’s longer reach proving the deciding factor here as she continues to pick Emma off from afar, her combos lighting her face up immediately once she gets in range. Emma’s forced to cover up but she can’t protect all her digits at once, Lily’s speed proving how dangerous she can be as she shoves more leather into her face and body, never allowing Emma to get near enough to hurt her. Emma scores the occasional hard return hand into the nose or arms, but it’s not nearly enough to blunt the champ’s momentum this round.

ROUND 8:
Both girls breathing hard but eyes flashing with anger as they circle inwards once more. It’s the last quarter of this fight and neither girl has scored a knockdown yet. The judges’ scorecards are equally even, according to our estimate, as these girls prove they’re more than a match for each other. Lily again falling back on her jabbing attack, hitting above the eye early on and successfully keeping Emma at bay. Or so she thinks. Emma suddenly ROARS in, disregarding her own safety as she starts swinging at the champ with mad intent. Lily lets out a shout of surprise as both girls go barreling into the ropes in each other’s arms, entangled as they quickly jostle at shoulders and shove at tummies for dominance. Lily getting smothered by her taller, slightly bulkier counterpart, and before she can pry herself out of the hold, her chin’s rapped upwards in shock, Emma sending another and another uppercut into the base of her chin, making the champ see stars! Emma just crouching low in the clinch, her lips danger-close to Lily’s chest but her arms still working fine as she blows Lily’s head back a third and final time, the rest of Lily’s body suddenly sagging into hers as though her strings are cut! Collins allowed to DROP down to her side as Emma simply steps back, the champ holding her jaw in her hands, and just like that, we’ve got our first KNOCKDOWN of the evening!

Watson left panting hard as she holds up a confident hand by the ropes, her face filled with triumph as she glares down at the sprawled form of Lily Collins by the ropes, who’s twisting and turning in an attempt to force her body back up to all fours. Watson herded by the referee back to neutral corner, and his steady counts are echoed by the rest of the fans in the arena. Lily spitting out her frustration as she rises slowly, her body trembling but most of the damage wrought to her aching jaw as she finally manages to steady herself on both feet by the count of 8! This fight’s going the distance!

ROUND 9:
So much action so far for just eight rounds, and it’s set to continue as a pair of tired girls take tentative steps out of corners, their arms wavering as they flinch at the slightest twitch from their counterpart. Emma wants to put Lily away for good but the fatigue is catching up fast, and she barely manages to send a jab at Lily’s face before Lily also scores back with one of her own. Two minutes go by and both fighters clinch up again, snarling forehead to forehead as they push and shove at shoulders, once or twice taking a swipe down at tummies or uppercuts sent chopping into the chest. Referee separates them over and over, but the two rivals always seem to end up wrapped up again, pinning each other down on the ropes whilst burying dull shots into bellies. Emma excels in this close quarters fighting to the end, using her bigger frame to trap the champ more often than naught and stuff her gloves into Lily’s abs and breasts, finally taking the ninth by a razor thin margin as the referee has to pull her off and back to corner.

ROUND 10:
Lily knows she needs to dig deep now if she wants to steal the win via judges’ decision - she’s lost too many rounds thus far to her rival and only a glimmer of hope left if she wants to pull a rabbit out of the hat in the tenth. Emma, however, looks tired as hell, barely a shell of her former, spritely self, as she barely manages to avoid early jabs thrown at her head. Lily exploiting her sluggishness, digging deep as she thrashes Emma’s head and torso about with short, painful combos that land hard all over. All this while, Emma’s return fire is avoided by sheer grit or luck as Lily either parries or blocks or weaves to to narrowly avoid. Not looking good for Watson as her lips get stuffed by a cross hand delivered in close quarters, which sends her reeling backwards in pain. Lily POUNCES, a left hook snapped across the face followed by a swift uppercut crunched into the base of her chin - AND DOWN EMMA GOES, flailing a couple of steps in shock before falling onto her back with a loud THUD!! Surely this must be it?!

Barely a minute left on the clock but NO - Emma’s not finished, her head rolling from side to side during the first few seconds of the count, but the rest of her body already willing herself back up, first rolling onto her knees, then one foot planted on the ground at a time as she pulls herself up with the help of the ropes and the cheering fans!

Over the other side of the ring, Lily’s face is etched in half-disbelief, half-tired indifference as she takes as many deep gulps of air she can before willing herself forwards for yet another push. Referee’s doing his best to check if Watson really wants to continue here, but the Harry Potter star is seen nodding her head with her eyes squeezed shut. Okay, then… Wave of a hand and the bell rings for the last segment to continue. Emma perhaps knows that if she holds on for this last sprint across the finish line, she can win the match via decision… Not if Lily can help it, of course, the champ probably coming to the same conclusion and RUSHIN’ her at the sound of the bell!

Emma covering up on the ropes, but getting torched left and right, Lily sic-d upon her like a rabid animal on fresh meat: the champ’s hooks crashing into her side, Emma’s face swiped hard in one direction, then the other, her guard immediately being broken the moment the first volleys descended earlier. Lily squaring her shoulders and legs, putting both strength and momentum into each punch, her hatred fuelling her swings as she bashes yet another right hand straight up into Emma’s nose, busting her fellow actress wide open, as Emma lets out a shocked cry of pain. AND THAT’S IT - the ref has seen more than enough (and none too soon, we think), leaping between Collins and her prey and waving for the bell! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Lily Collins defeats Emma Watson via TKO10! Lily Collins RETAINS the Flyweight Championship!

AFTER:

All hell broke loose in this fight, and a still-snarling Lily Collins is seen gripping the top rope and wringing it up and down, as though her fingers are gripped around Emma’s delicate neck and wanting to strangle the life outta her. For now though, she takes out her remaining frustration out on the ring, roaring to all four corners at a victory to the wire.

Meanwhile, Emma’s being safely protected by the referee’s embrace, and thereafter, Head Trainer Steve Boyd’s guardian hands as the VIX team quickly swoops in to collect their fallen darling from the ring, and onto a stretcher by the apron.

If Lily wanted some post-fight humiliation, she doesn’t get much besides several lasting kisses to Emma's stomach on her way down before the referee stepped in earlier, Collins still gnashing her teeth in the clinch as she forced Emma's lips into her upper belly as the poor girl got folded over in half on the ropes. In the immediate aftermath, Collins has to be content with shouting insults from the top rope down at the still-unconscious Watson, who's stretched out by ring-side and then quickly evacuated backstage.

“She got her shot and blew it. I bet she never touches this belt ever again in her entire career,” Lily later laughs to reporters by the apron, the Vixen still grinning and out of breath. “I have to give it to her though: she put up a hell of a fight. But it just wasn’t enough. It’s high time people stopped underestimating me, and Emma was just the latest victim to find out what happens to those who do.”
