(Foxfire Atlantic vs Lookout! Atlantic Boxing)

Intro:
Tonights main event here in the ANZ Stadium in Sydney, sees the hometown favourite Rose Byrne take her first step they hope to winning this years Contender Six tournament, in her way is the tough Alice Eve.

Rose is 40 years old; she stands 5'6 ½, holding a record of 4 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with 12 defeats.

Alice is 37 years old; she stands 5'5 ¼, holding a record of 10 wins, 9 coming by way of knockout, 11 defeats with 1 draw.

Coming into this fight; this is on Rose's home turf, making some wonder if she can defeat the woman that has been given the favourite for the tournament tag by most.

While Alice hasn't the greatest of records, she has fought some of the elite bantamweights in the world, defeating the likes of Una Healy in the past, only last year she defeated Megan Fox to show how dangerous she can be.

That didn't seem to bother Rose as in her video in the build up to this fight, she showed herself at fan events, sparring in front of large crowds as she shows how much support she is going to have on fight night.

Standing inside a ring with the crowd behind her, Rose says "when you come to Sydney, you are not just fighting me, all these people will be behind me and making me stronger" getting a cheer from her fans.

"Alice you are not getting out of my back yard without an ass kicking, then I am bringing back the Contender title back here before I bring home the bantamweight title!" Yells Byrne as a "future champ!" Chant breaks out.

Alice meanwhile sits on a bench in the Lookout! Gym, wrapping her hands as she looks intense, looking up to tell the camera "I am not interested how many people will be supporting you Rose, simply put I am here to be the best, to show my stable that they were right to pick me for this tournament"

Once she finishes taping her right fist up, Alice lifts it up before saying "I know you think you'll be seeing the crowd cheering you, this is what you are really going to see, my fists blacking your eyes and busting your nose up, you are not standing in my way to that title"

Fight night; Rose heads out first to an electric response from the crowd, she blows them kisses as sue jogs down the aisle, she looks ecstatic getting a chance to fight on home soil.

She is wearing a green sports bra, matching trunks and shoes, gold gloves, while her brunette hair is tied back into a braid.

Climbing into the ring with a big smile on her face, Rose bows to each side of the ring as her name is being chanted, her coach Sophia Myles reminder her to keep focused on her opponent, she can celebrate with the fans when the job is done.

Alice comes out as expected to boos, she just chats away with Nicole Ritchie beside her, they don't look interested in the crowds reaction as they jog down the aisle towards the ring.

She is wearing a black sports bra with baby blue trim, matching trunks and shoes, baby blue coloured gloves, her blonde hair is in a ponytail.

Stepping inside the ring; Alice doesn't waste time acknowledging the fans, instead heading over to her corner, where she stares hard across the ring at Rose as she warms up.

As the fighters meet at the center of the ring, the tension between both fighters and their coaches is on show, eyes locked in a nasty glare as the referee keeps between the two camps.

Ordered to touch gloves, they swipe their gloves together, more interested in getting things started, the referee signalling for the bell to ring to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
"Ding" stepping out their corners with a determined look on their faces, they start off trading single punches as they circle at the center of the ring.

Neither pushing the boat out in the first minute, showing each other plenty of respect, when they do start throwing more, still they don't go all out as they mostly head hunt.

Feinting with a jab; Alice lands a right cross to the cheek, dipping under a counter left to land two more body shots as she looks to open up on the local favourite.

Boos start ringing out as Alice darts inside and out during the second minute, targeting the abs of Rose now as she shows off her skills with good head movement.

But as they enter the final minute, the crowd roars as Rose catches Alice moving in close with a left cross, a straight follows to knock back the head of the Brit.

Rose turning up the jets to bash back Alice, landing three punches to her face, driving back Eve around the outside of the ring, the blonde only able to land single punches out her guard.

At the bell they both nod to each other, knowing that was too close a round to call, both controlling parts of the action, their coaches looking happy enough with what they saw.

Round 2:
As they come back out their corners, Alice maybe getting a bit lax as she tries to charge in with a left hook that Rose steps out the way of, a straight smacking Alice on her cheek.

The next time Alice looks to move inside the reach of Rose, she gets sidestepped and a right hook turns Alice's head to the side.

Rose opens up on her opponent, smacking her back to the ropes as the crowd stand and chant her name, Alice is struggling to get out her guard as she is landing single punches.

While the brunette is starting to dig her fists under the elbows of Alice to her body, making Alice hiss out as she takes the shots clean, needing to clinch up with Rose to stop the assault.

Once they are broken up, Alice looks to come back at Rose, missing with a wild right though, getting hit with two cross punches by the calmer Rose to turn her face again.

The bell rings with Rose with simply a shutout of a round, Sophia grins as she sees Rose getting her name chanted by a rabid crowd.

Across the ring Nicole tells Alice to keep her head, Alice admitting she let herself get riled up, Nicole yelling "then f***ing don't do that! This is your big chance to make a step forwards in your career! Don't lose focus!"

Round 3:
Rose looks to use the last round and the crowd to keep her work rate up, she is throwing more double jabs towards the head of Alice, keeping her on the outside as she marches forwards.

Forcing Alice onto the outside of the ring, where Rose tries to throw a left hook that just misses, Alice countering with a right hook to the body before moving into space.

That doesn't stop Rose being aggressive, stalking Alice around the outside of the ring, throwing headhunting punches, most punches getting blocked though as Alice is reading these attacks too easily.

Dipping down again under a straight, Alice hammers in three body shots before getting hit with a left across the top of her head to ward her back outside.

In the final minute of the round; Rose feints with a straight, smacking a left hook to the side of the head of the blonde, making Alice grit her gumshield as she needs to retreat back.

Rose using her left shoulder to bump back Alice into a corner, where Rose pins her in the final moments of the round under a flurry of punches, the bell rings to end the round not long after.

Returning to their corners, Nicole is happier but still sees improvement needed from Alice, the Foxfire corner on the other hand simply looks relaxed, just discussing how to keep Alice on the back foot as they enjoy the sound track of "oh come on Rose!" From her fans.

Round 4:
Alice is continuing to stick and move to start, landing two or three punch combinations when she gets in closer to make Rose grunt out, the Brit looking less tense the more she can land.

After the first minute of success, Alice gets clipped across the top of her head by a left cross, an uppercut straightens her up though after she lands a left to the body.

Rose lands a follow up jab/straight combo as she steps forwards, forcing Alice behind her gloves, Rose continues to find some gaps to throw punches through to keep knocking back Alice to the outside of the ring.

While Alice is able to duck to come inside to work, forcing several fire fights to get the excitement levels of the crowd up, Rose keeps pushing or knocking her back to the outside.

Where Rose looks great as she lands a double jab to the right eye of Alice, who grits her gumshield not to cry out, it has her on the defensive though in the remaining part of the round.

The bell rings to end the round with Rose pumping her right fist into the air, Alice might be the favourite to some coming into this fight, Rose is giving her one hell of a hard time though.

Round 5:
Both women start off trading more punches, Alice trying to be more aggressive it seems, leading to a toe to toe exchange at the center of the ring.

Slipping a right cross; Alice lands a counter uppercut to the body, followed by a cuffing left to the back of the ear of Rose to make her stumble to the left.

Rose goes into more of a shell when Alice comes at her, the blonde switching up her targets as she begins to look the fighter people expected of her coming in.

Problem for Alice is that Rose has extra motivation tonight, as Alice lands two body shots, Rose lands a right to the side of her head, followed by a left to her jaw to make her think about things.

The Aussie firing back with a left/right into the face of the blonde, causing blood to run from the nostrils of Alice, Sophia in her corner grinning like a Cheshire cat seeing that.

In the final moments of the round though, Alice slips a left cross and comes over the top with an overhand right to the jaw of Rose, two more hooks to the face of Byrne send her into a corner, where Alice pins her for the final few seconds.

The round comes to a close with Alice lifting her right fist into the air while facing Rose, showing her that she isn't going anywhere tonight, Rose nods but looks angry at the gesture.

Returning to their corners to be cleaned up, Alice gets her face washed down and her nose worked on, Nicole tells her "OK we both know you are in a war tonight, make sure you keep doing what we discussed and you'll send her down for a nap soon enough"

Round 6:
Stepping after Rose with a jab aimed at the body, Alice is trying to keep being a pain for her opponent, making Rose miss before countering her.

Rose on the other hand is stalking back Alice, doubling up her jab again as she tries to gauge the range, landing more often now as the round heads into it's second minute.

Where Alice tries to land an overhand left that Rose steps out the way of, INSTEAD AN UPPERCUT SNAPS THE HEAD BACK OF ALICE, WITH A LEFT HOOK TO THE CHEEK OF EVE SENDING HER DOWN TO HER SIDE!

The crowd erupts as Rose is skipping to a neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Alice shakes her head as she turns to all fours, 5...6...7.. She grabs the ropes after moving towards them, 8... Pulling herself up to her feet to some boos.

The referee allows the fighters to continue, Rose hunting after Alice around the ring, stinging her face with straight punches through the mitts of Alice.

Alice needing to duck and clinch up, Rose making the clinch uncomfortable with her right hammering the kidney, the referee breaking them up and warning Rose to keep things clean.

The crowd is urging Rose to finish the fight now, Alice showing off good defensive skills to dodge most punches coming at her, landing single punches in reply to show she is still in this fight in the final moments of the round.

The round comes to a close with Rose roaring to the crowd, all of them knowing this was a massive round for her, Sophia praising Rose when she returns to her corner.

While the Lookout corner looks to be working hard to get Alice ready for the next round, Alice assures Nicole that she is OK, it was a flash knockdown she claims, Nicole not so sure right now judging by her expression.

Round 7:
Rose stepping out after Alice, rifling punches into the top of the Brits head, knocking Alice back near the ropes as she takes the center of the ring.

Needing to slip more punches, Alice lands several stiff shots into the cheeks of Rose, with the Aussie landing a stiff right to the cheek of the blonde to turn her head.

Throwing more to the body of Alice when she steps forwards, Rose is looking to open her up top so she can get back to work on the head to hopefully knock out Eve.

But she gets caught with her left down, a right hook smacks her to the side of her head, a left hook lands to the jaw of Rose to give the crowd something to worry about.

Alice coming on strong in the final minute, drilling shots into the face of Rose to send her moving back to the outside of the ring, with Rose needing to land a straight to stop the momentum of Alice for a moment.

The final few seconds of the round sees both women go toe to toe, punches flying as defence goes out the window, at the bell both women's cheeks look reddened and puffy as they scowl at each other.

Sitting on their stools soon enough, Alice seems to have proven to Nicole that she isn't done yet, they both know though that it will be an uphill battle for her to get the result.

In the Foxfire corner Sophia wipes down Rose, urging her not to get reckless, believing that if they go to the scorecards she'll get the win.

Round 8:
Coming out their corners looking like they are breathing harder, Alice is going after Rose harder now, feinting with a left to come up with an uppercut that knocks Rose onto her heels.

Rose backs up throwing jabs to try to ward off Alice, who dips under one to come up with an overhand left to the chin of Rose to wobble her legs!

The crowd are all screaming "NO!" As they watch Alice smacking Rose back to the ropes, Rose goes to clinch up with the blonde, AN UPPERCUT AGAIN ON THE BUTTON SENDS ROSE CRUMBLING TO THE CANVAS FACE DOWN!

"F***ing come on!" Yells Alice before she turns to the neutral corner, 1...2...3.. The crowd yelling for Rose to get to her feet, 4....5...6.. Looking up slowly blinking, 7...8.. Rose gets up to all fours, 9...10 but she can't get up!

Winner Alice Eve KO Round 8

After:
What a war for Alice, she comes through with the win and a hail storm of boos ringing around her, maybe thinking better of it Alice doesn't bother celebrating, instead just returning back to her corner to get cleaned up.

Though as she speaks to Nicole, she isn't happy one bit how she performed tonight, knowing she'll need to improve if she is to win this tournament.

While Rose is getting helped up by Sophia, she sheds tears as her dream homecoming has turned into a nightmare, her head down as she is helped back to her stool.

Sophia telling her "you got caught out there but you looked brilliant up till then, we know what to work on, make sure you come back here with the Contender title around your waist" trying to lift her fighters spirit.

When both women are cleaned up, they head to the center of the ring, Alice shows respect to Rose by heading over to her to tell her "you had me more then worried in here tonight" Rose nodding and cracking a smile as she is trying to remain positive.

After the referee lifts Alice's right arm to a round of respectful applause mixed with a few boos, Alice grins before going over to Rose and lifting her arm up to a loud cheer, both women can't help but laugh at that.

Alice smiles as she tells Rose "I think you deserve the spotlight tonight" patting Rose on her back before she leaves the ring with Nicole behind her, the crowd starting to warm it seems to Alice as some want a high five as she heads up the aisle.

All Alice will be worried about is making sure she improves before the next round of fights, while Lottie didn't look great tonight, she won't be taking the youngster lightly in their fight in a months time.

Inside the ring Rose cries as the crowd chant that they love her, Sophia hugging her as Rose promises "I'll do better for all of you!" Before she leaves the ring.

Rose has Samaria Regalado next, the model proved tonight she isn't someone to sleep on, Rose though should take heart on tonight's performance going forwards in this tournament.
