Jessica:
(24, 5’9, 2:0 BBU, Free Agent)

Ann-Kathrin:
(29, 5’9, 4:4 BBU, Black Eagle Boxing)

BEFORE:
Next on the hit-list for Jess Clements is another fellow model, only this time someone with far greater experience in the ring as compared to herself. German fight fans out in full force today, letting out cheers in their native tongue as their representative enters the small SIRENs arena.

Ann-Kathrin’s been here before, losing to Mathilde Gohler in the seventh round. Since then, she’s racked up a balanced win-loss ratio on her resume, and shows no signs of slowing down.

“I cannot wait to bust her up,” the sultry German saying in a thick accent, before posing for the cameras in her black lingerie set and red gloves.

Next to enter the SIRENs’ gym is Jessica Clements herself, another week and another exhibition fight scheduled in the SIRENs’ corner. Rumours of course flying around that these preliminary fights are just a way to induct her into the ranks of their roster, and the presence of some of her contemporaries seated in the corner by the ring also adding fuel to the fire, with sweetheart Diana Korkunova and Head of the locker room Petra Nemcova cheering on her side as she struts down the carpet in a red bikini and white gloves.

“I’ve already beaten two girls easily. Let’s make it three, why don’t we?” Jess winking at the cameras before climbing into the ring brimming with confidence.

Referee is making the final preparations here as both girls get ready for ten rounds of Lightweight action. As usual, both are of the same height and built, making for an interesting contest of styles. The main difference comes of course with their age and level of fight experience. There’s the wave of the ref’s hand so HERE we go!!

ROUND 1:
A dangerous test for the rookie fighter as she’s still struggling to find her groove in the ring. Ann-Kathrin on the other hand has been in such scraps before, and uses her experience to control the more chaotic Jessica at mid-range. Clements’ over-eagerness is costing her this opening round as she tries to attack her foe from multiple angles, but only succeeds in finding a wall of resistance at every turn and corner, with Ann-Kathrin’s guard proving nigh unbreakable. The German beauty is just too focused and fresh to allow any of Jess’ sloppy punches inwards. By the final minute, Jessica getting socked in the face repeatedly, with Brommel exploiting the holes in her defences and gets to work with scoring points for herself. Not the best round we’ve seen for Clements, that’s for sure.

ROUNDS 2-3:
Rounds 2-3 are a similar downhill disaster for the newcomer, unable to find an answer to the big German’s offensive strategy. Brommel taking a couple of hands to the guard, then retreating and slapping fists into the face to Clements, or doing the same but advancing on her with a flurry of her own. Regardless, it’s Clements who loses the exchange, and her face is quickly showing signs of reddened abuse. A particularly big shot in the third round, second minute sees her stumbling backwards in abject pain, her eyes squeezed shut as she’s bullied into the ropes by Ann and her body beaten on, but somehow she manages to survive a knockdown attempt when she gets her clinch secured, with both arms wrapped around Ann-Kathrin’s chest. The German still bodying her hapless foe to the ropes, digging her gloves into the pit of belly, but can’t do much else besides continue to dominate points during the rounds, with Clements determined to keep standing but sliding into oblivion.

ROUND 4:
Round 4 and we suppose that Jessica’s resilience is something on its own to marvel at. I mean - not many girls can keep themselves on the losing end of three rounds and still chug along as though nothing’s wrong. Brommel the most affected by this lack of progress, and by this time in the fight, she’s set on an all-out charge towards her opponent in a last ditch effort to win it outright. But that proves to be her undoing. Jessica still moving fast as she evades the incoming German model, managing to turn the tables and slap leather into her face and body in return when her foe gets reckless. Third minute especially sees a vicious CLASH of bodies in the middle of the ring, both women struggling with each other for dominance with arms pushing and shoving on shoulders before taking turns to wail away at the chin and body.

ROUND 5:
Brommel starting to get hurt herself, evident from the small cut at the base of her cheek. Still, the model seems determined that she can still win this against a mere rookie who’s merely on her third outing. She’s the one who initiates in the first minute, coming forward fast and firing off punches hard. Jessica taking a few jabs to the tummy, but then SOCKS her opponent right back with a right hook out of nowhere!! OUCHH. Brommel literally torques about on her feet, eyes looking completely shellshocked from that one right hand! HERE comes Jess! Clements bouncing mitts off her sides, driving her backwards into the ropes for some payback, before pinning her there with strapping right hands battering down the gates of her guard a little bit by little. Brommel with not much resistance by this point, just trying to survive till the end of the round. By the time the bell rings, even though Clements didn’t get the knockdown she wanted either, the psychological damage to Ann-Kathrin’s confidence is palpable as she realises the danger she’s really in.

ROUND 6:
One still can’t fault the German beauty for trying. She initiates the attack here in the sixth, despite knowing first-hand by now Jessica’s power behind those punches. Obviously she thinks she can evade them with her agility and expert footwork. Obviously, she’s wrong. Another one-two-three quick punches land on Jess’ arms and body, and to her credit, Ann-Katrin weaves backwards at the last moment to avoid a sudden right hook from Clements. But she isn’t so lucky with its follow-up. ANOTHER hook STUNS the German badly to the middle of her face, sending her flying off her feet and collapsing onto her side! KNOCKDOWN for the newcomer!

Brommel in not-so-good shape, gasping for air on the ground and that cut on her face getting wilder and wilder the more we look at it. Jessica winded but still brimming with energy, calmly heading to neutral corner to await the outcome. Ann-Kathrin’s resolve wins out, however, as she makes it back up by the count of 8, though the doctors are getting worried about the potential damage to her face in the long run.

For now, the round continues, but honestly, there isn’t much need to prolong the inevitable. Ann-Kathrin barely defending herself as Jessica comes in roaring. With one minute left to go, it’s no wonder she’s in a rush to end this. Brommel getting whacked on the nostrils repeatedly, before a powerful cross sends her reeling back into the ropes in agony. Before Jessica can jump in, the referee does it for her, declaring the fight over!

Official Decision: Jessica Clements defeats Ann-Kathrin Brommel via TKO6!

AFTER:
A well-deserved TKO victory for Clements, who managed to overpower a tough foe in this already crowded division.

“I just needed time to get used to her pattern,” Jessica saying with a smile later on. “She gave me some trouble in the first half, but I managed to put my power to good use in the second.”
