(BBU Independent vs Downunder Boxing)
(8-5-1, 7 KO vs 2-0, 2 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Tamsin Egerton just can't catch a break for a while now and is called by some experts as the biggest wasted potential among the BBU welterweights. However she's still young enough to make a real impact and if she takes down ACB champion Jesinta Campbell tonight, watch out for a true revival going forward! Green & Gold's Sarah Cumming claims Tamsin is simply too busy being Josh Hartnett's partner and doesn't commit enough energy into her boxing career but she's battled for the welterweight title twice already - not bad for someone with only 14 career bouts!

Meanwhile Jesinta Campbell complains she doesn't get enough opportunities on the northern hemisphere and wants to remind everyone she's more than qualified to fight for the BBU lineal title outright. Tamsin Egerton is a dangerous floater and taking her scalp will prevent the UK hosts from winning The Ashes even though the series could still be drawn. So the pressure reaches beyond Jesinta's personal ambitions as the Old Trafford audience is convinced Cheryl Cole finally conquers Dannii Minogue and treats this welterweight match-up as the last true enigma.

Tamsin Egerton wears a black basque top, matching hotpants & red gloves. Long dyed blonde hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Jesinta Campbell wears a golden bikini set & green gloves. Long light brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Big time slugging from the opening bell as Tamsin surprises the tourist with a nifty jabbing approach and starts stacking up leather into her face! Welcome to Manchester, gurl! Jesinta is by no means a speedy fighter but she gets glued to the spot while the blonde carries on with the aerial assault until she wobbles the tourist onto her heels and tries to deliver one haymaker literally twenty seconds into the contest! She misses with that one but Jesinta fails to rally back into contention and has to yield real estate amid a while push from the Hampshire lass. Tamsin just wants to impose her elite presence here and digs more leather downstairs when she traps Campbell along the ropes. Jesinta finally finds her range and digs into the blonde's ribcage but remains trapped in the corner and no way these judges will give her the edge when Egerton spend the entire round chasing her around.

Round 2:
Another quick tangle in the center of the ring brings Campbell the early success as she matches the blonde punch-for-punch and lands her shots notoriously close to the left brow ridge which takes the most impact during this struggle. Tamsin tries to weave away from danger but she was much better off pushing forward instead of trying to beat the brunette with her questionable mobility. She hands the momentum back to the Aussie model who rips a left cross on the nose and wobbles the actress into a steady dose of uppercuts that pierce the suddenly shaky guard. Ugh! Egerton gets dropped onto the ropes and Jesinta camps inside her guts and drills them back & forth without much resistance from the Hampshire woman. England coach Katie Price tries to spark a comeback from her corner but to no avail as Campbell has a field day punching right through the blonde's midsection for remainder of the round.

Round 3:
Tamsin launches a quick-fire attack upstairs but misses her range and gets countered over the top as the looping response finds the pretty English face and glues the blonde to the spot. Jesinta ups the work rate and pounds the subdued rival onto the ropes before she drops the body assault bomb which seems to give Egerton real trouble. There's a brief delay due to a blatant clinch but Jesinta bumps the older woman off and beats her with a brutal hook on the jaw before she resumes the ribcage pounding that sends Tamsin into worryingly loud spasms. Uh-oh! Jesinta breaks loose and wants more damage upstairs though, she rifles a wicked left hook on the nose and half-spins Egerton to the side; she adds another belter up the middle and it's all coming down onto the blonde's midsection as she has to rely on another weak clinch to stop the proverbial bleeding. Jesinta shakes her off one more time but her aggressive drive is stopped by the bell with more jeers ringing out in the stands!

Round 4:
Tamsin is quick to pounce on the fly but even though she rattles Campbell from both flanks, the Aussie model refuses to back off and engages in a classic slugging exchange pounding the blonde up the middle herself. Very dangerous back & forth tussle follows but both women hold station until Egerton gets clobbered with another brutal hook on the brow ridge and yields real estate on the spot. She tries to push off her heels but Jesinta gets there first and tears the lips into a swollen mess thru rapid fire striking that drops the older woman behind a desperate earmuff on the ropes. Tamsin finds a brief respite clocking the model on the chin but Jesinta still lands the last punch when she scythes the blonde across the boobs right at the bell.

Rounds 5 & 6:
Tamsin no longer seeks the aggressive slugfest as she definitely looks worse to wear following all those hits, her lips have developed a bad swelling and her left brow ridge doesn't look any better either. However Jesinta fails to punish her beyond repair as she scores easy single-hand approach and bullies the reeling blonde around the ring. Ugh! Even Katie Price can't force the issue here as Egerton is stuck in neutral and quite frankly Jesinta does what Miranda Kerr had planned for Holly Peers before. However Tamsin doesn't have that arrogant glamour model touch about her and allows the tourist to bounce around and make her look really overwhelmed. Tara Moss plays her own coaching game and Campbell counters the jeering response by blasting the subdued blonde across the midsection late in the sixth with Tamsin looking physically spend here as she argues her tactics with Katie Price during the break.

Round 7:
Campbell rolls into a head-hunting blitz and Egerton can't move her feet in time as she gets whacked up the chimney and folds into a brutal uppercut barrage thereafter. With The Ashes on the line, it's time to put the doubters away as the uppercut slam destroys the blonde's high guard and sends her onto jelly knees half-way thru the opening minute. Jesinta barks in her efforts but still delivers the elite juice rocking the Portsmouth woman into a slumped mess before she rips a nasty right hook on the brow ridge that bursts into a bloody gash... Tamsin sinks on her knees with eyes closed and the gravity does the rest!!! BLONDE GIRL DOWN!!! Tamsin hits the deck and bellows out into spasms when she realizes she's been cut up in the process. She tries to get up... here she comes... yeah, she's UP at eight but oh-uh!!! She wobbles onto the ropes and fails to respond to the referee's call! Sarah Cumming believes the Aussie champ has knocked the fighting spirit out of the English woman and she's probably right. Tamsin doesn't look like she wants to continue this one with more blood flowing from her damaged brow ridge. And the fight is duly waved off!!! TKO7 Jesinta Campbell!!!

AFTER: "Can't have that! What the hell are you doing!", Katie Price has to part ways with another set of underwear as she shouts at the stunned Tamsin who sells that hollow look in her eyes like she's truly rattled beyond consciousness. Meanwhile the Aussie camp celebrates around Jesinta who blows several kisses to the crowd amid a half-hearted response. Dannii Minogue can put the icing on the cake now - or more like claim Katie Price's personal underwear along with Cheryl Cole's leopard print panties - but Tara Moss tries to calm everyone down: "We're not done yet! We have a draw in hand but let's don't frickin' blow it now! One more to go... where is the Urn? Don't frickin' break it, Ariel! It's your damn underwear in there FFS!!!"

Official Result: Jesinta Campbell def. Tamsin Egerton TKO7.
The Ashes: England 2 Australia 3.
