Intro:
The first bout of round 3 of the Contender 6 tournament sees both Jourdan Dunn and Caroline Austin look for their first win in the tournament, here in Johannesburg's Ellis Park Arena.

Jourdan is 28 years old; she stands 6'1 and holds a record of 7 wins, all of those by knockout and 3 defeats.

Caroline is 27 years old; she stands 5'10 and holds a record of 2 wins, both by knockout and 2 defeat.

Both women are interviewed before the fight by Georgie Thompson on a set, sitting on a stool in front of a white wall.

Jourdan is up first on the stool, asked what she feels has been the issue so far in the tournament, making Jourdan look angry as she replies "simply I've had bad luck, something I feel be changing with this fight"

Georgie sees she better change the subject, so asks about Dunn's opinion of her opponent, making the London born model start smiling.

"Answer me a question, how the hell did Caroline get into this tournament? She is the punchbag of this tournament and I'm going to love smashing her to pieces" says Jourdan as she shows her right fist.

Finally when asked about the tournament, can she make a big run to the end, Jourdan quickly answers "of course I will! Nobody I have left to face worries me, I'm the big spoiler in this tournament, I am going to make the others cry as I remind people like you who I am in that ring"

Next up is Caroline; who even though she has been in terrible form looks in a good mood, shaking hands with Georgie before she sits down.

When asked about her issues in the tournament, Caroline replies "I knew in all honesty that things could be tricky, I gave big Bo (Krsmanovic) in the last round a tough test, so I know I can punish this more experienced fighters if they underestimate me"

The subject changes to this fight, the Aussies mood changes to a more serious one, admitting "this is a fight I need to win, if I don't then I have to look at myself hard to see what is holding me back"

Finally on Jourdan; Caroline laughs as she says "she's one tall bytch alright, I might need a ladder to do this but I will give my all to beat her"

Fight night; out comes Jourdan with Denise Lewis behind her, Jourdan is marching down to the ring looking focused on the task ahead.

She is wearing a black sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves as she goes for the classic Mike Tyson look, her brunette hair is braided.

Stepping into the ring Jourdan heads straight to her corner, focused purely on warming up as Denise warns her that she has to make a statement tonight.

Now Caroline comes with her coach out the curtain, she looks her usual confident self as she jogs down the aisle.

She is wearing an emerald green sports bra, matching trunks with gold stripes up the sides, green gloves with gold thumbs and green shoes, her hair is in a ponytail.

Getting into the ring; Caroline blows a few kisses to the crowd as she heads over to her corner, her coach reminds her that this is must win for her.

Both fighters are brought to the center of the ring; they stare straight into each others eyes as both see the other as standing in their way of escaping the bottom spot in the table.

After the referee tells them to touch gloves, the slap of leather echo's as they slam them together, then head back over to their corners for the final instructions from their coaches, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Jourdan looks to establish the range straight away, keeping Caroline back with her jab aimed at the head of the smaller fighter.
Caroline is showing good head movement to dodge those punches, allowing her to slip inside to work the body.
But it's the English fighter controlling the pace early as she keeps nudging back Caroline to open up space, then landing punches to keep her back while she keeps on the move.
As Caroline tries to cut the ring off; instead she takes two straight punches to her face that allows Jourdan to back her up a few steps.
Jourdan looking good as she begins to make Caroline cover up more, that isn't what Austin's corner wants to see as they shout at her to keep the pressure on her opponent.
The round ends with Jourdan looking confident as she heads back to her corner, Denise and her discuss their success this round as the opposite corner are talking about Caroline being more aggressive.

Round 2:
Again that jab of Jourdan is controlling the early action, she is landing more to the top of Caroline's head to keep her on the outside.
The Aussie finds a way inside though; feinting with her left before she dips down after stepping to the right, finally she comes up with an overhand right that slams across her opponent's cheek.
That allows Caroline to force the fight on the inside, normally she likes to box around her opponents, tonight though she needs to stay in close range to hammer the body of Dunn.
Who is struggling on the inside, the more compact Caroline is driving her back around the ring, till Jourdan gives her a shove to open up space.
Jourdan is able to get her punches landing again, Caroline though is keeping in closer range to give the crowd the hard hitting exchanges they were looking for in the final moments of the round.
With the bell ringing to end the round, Caroline struts back to her corner all smiles now, though her coach reminds her that there is a long way to go yet.

Round 3:
That last round seems to have renewed the focus of Dunn, who is starting to press more herself, claiming the center of the ring early on with two cross punches.
Jourdan keeping Caroline behind her guard, slamming her punches into the gloves of the Aussie, who is struggling to come out of her guard to fight.
When Caroline tries to swing out a right cross, Jourdan steps back to land a left/right combination that knocks the head back of the blonde.
Caroline is getting hammered back towards the ropes, with Caroline trying to force an exchange, but is getting knocked back each time she does.
Till Caroline is forced to clinch up, Jourdan allowing herself a little smirk as the referee steps in to break them apart.
Jourdan finishes the round off strong as Caroline stays on the defensive in the final moments of the round, the bell rings to end a shutout for Dunn.
The Beever's corner look relaxed again, Denise telling her to keep showcasing her talents, as Jourdan looks keen to get back out to keep this momentum up.

Round 4:
Out comes Jourdan as expected quickly, but Caroline won't stay as static like the last round, dodging more punches, still several catch her on the face though to keep marking up that beautiful face.
The blonde does manage to slip under a left cross, countering with a right under the ribs of Jourdan, following with an overhand left onto her chin.
Jourdan steps back with Caroline coming right at her, the two trading it out near the center of the ring, an uppercut catching the English lass on her chin to rock her back.
Denise is screaming for Jourdan to get that range back, instead it's Caroline pushing the pace, throwing punches across the cheeks and chin of her opponent to knock her back.
Jourdan pulls Caroline into a clinch, with Caroline now the one taunting the taller fighter, the referee steps in to pry the two apart.
Allowing Jourdan to get her jab going again, keeping an overly keen Austin back as she gets some rhythm going as seconds tick away.
The round ends with Caroline pumping her right fist into the air as she jogs back to her corner, getting a nod from her coach as the two chat about what they need to do next.
While across the ring Denise looks upset with Jourdan, telling her to keep her focus or she'll be getting stuffed again.

Round 5:
Caroline looks to have confidence to do something now as she keeps getting in close, her head movement is allowing her to dodge the punches of Jourdan.
Then slipping inside to come up with punches that are rocking back the head of Jourdan back with uppercuts or overhand punches.
When Jourdan throws a jab; IT SAILS OVER THE HEAD OF CAROLINE, WHO COMES UP WITH AN OVERHAND LEFT THAT CRACKS THE CHIN OF DUNN, SENDING HER TUMBLING DOWN TO HER SIDE!
The crowd look stunned as Caroline flexes her left arm, 1...2...3...4.. Jourdan shakes her head as she turns to all fours, 5...6...7.. Grabbing the ropes in front of her to pull herself to her feet, 8...9.. Just beating the count as the referee checks her over.
She is allowed to continue, where she throws jabs defensively to try to keep Caroline off of her, with the blonde learning from her last charge to time her attack.
Which she does well as she ducks under a right cross, JUMPING UP WITH AN UPPERCUT THAT ROCKS JOURDAN INTO A CORNER, WHERE SHE LEANS ON THE ROPES, CAROLINE LANDS TWO MORE PUNCHES TO THE FACE BEFORE THE REFEREE WAVES THE FIGHT OFF!

Winner Caroline Austin TKO Round 5

After:
Caroline gets her first win in the tournament and it shows how much it means to her as she jogs over to her corner to mount the bottom rope, tears streaming down her eyes as she flexes her arms.

While Jourdan looks shaky as she tries to head back to her corner, Denise looking disappointed as she heads over to help her fighter back to her stool.

As Jourdan gets water tossed over her to waken her up, Denise yells at her; calling this result an embarrassment as Jourdan has went from title contender to struggling to find wins.

Caroline doesn't care as she is busy smiling while celebrating with her coach, getting her gloves taken off, Caroline gets a pat on the back from her coach who tells her that's what they wanted to see from her.

After both are cleaned up; that come to the center of the ring, Jourdan has eyes full of rage as Caroline gets her hand raised, the Aussie jumping up and down as she let's her emotions out.

Jourdan storms out the ring looking pissed off, Denise telling her she has to prove herself in the last two tournament fights.

Inside the ring Caroline poses with her hands on her hips, smiling as she gets a loud round of applause for pulling off the upset.

Now she leaves the ring knowing that she has Doutzen Kroes is next for her, another tough test for the youngster as she looks to continue impressing at this level going forwards.

At least now Caroline has confidence going forwards, giving the fans one final wave before she heads back to her locker room.

With Alice probably hoping that Jourdan Dunn will prove an easy test in the next round, as she looks to stay in the hunt for winning this tournament.

Inside the ring Bo tells Nia "next time I get her in her I'm going to smother that bytch" with Nia nodding at her in reply, glad to see Bo isn't going to play nice with everyone in this tournament.

Bo gets her hand raised by the referee as the result is announced, with Bo all smiles looking her usual self, she blows kisses to the fans who seem to have taking a liking to the cheerful girl.
